What would happen if the UN gained control over 70% of the Earth? This is exactly what Bush wants to do in a new bid to give the UN control over the world's oceans. World Net Daily reports on this where you can find the article HERE. (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55671)
This would be an interesting development since people who operate in these 'international' waters would have to pay a tax to the UN.
quote from article :
Critics say ratification would compromise U.S. sovereignty and place 70 percent of the Earth's surface under the control of the U.N. – even providing for a "tax" that would be paid directly to the international body by companies (http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=55671#) mining in the world's oceans.[/b]
We are definitely in some interesting times. Would control over 70% of the earth propel the UN into world power status? Looks like it very well could.

I'll be keeping an eye on these developments. Seems like the news is focused in 'other' places and it's almost like the Iraq War has proven a distraction to other developments.
We are living in some interesting times.

Very interesting Shibboleth, (though it cannot possibly be true because it keeps mentioning a New World Order which is a conspiracy theory run by girl guides or something I was reliably informed).

The thing about conspiracy theories, Nambo, is that alot of them come from sites that are questionable. World Net Daily from my experience is not a questionable site hatched from conspiracy theorists. I stay away from sites that are from conspiracy theorists and stick with news sources. I know even news sources can come from questionable sources but I'll have to stick with it nonetheless.
But yeah, it does confirm some of the theories you have bounced around here. ;)
UN is supposed to be the 8th King? So if UN takes control of 70% of the earth then I could see the UN being the 8th King. Whats my point...I don't know :ban_dance01:

Hi Shibb
WorldNetDaily is known for carrying a lot of government-sponsored disinformation. It's basically what they will LET you know, mixed in with a lot of hype. For this reason I store it in my news folder, rather than my conspiracy folder. I wouldn't place too much belief in all the articles coming from there. They're aiming at the evangelical-type followers, it seems. The oligarchs have tricks up their sleeve for the coming apocalyptic events and WND could be setting people up for an apostate alliance with the UN.
If you want to get into some really fascinating stuff, do some research into "reverse speech". It seems that the left side of our brain controls normal speech but the right side subconsciously causes the thoughts of the brain to be revealed as reverse speech within the normal speech. Researchers now think that the right side capability develops sooner, and so a child's first words are coming out backward and to us it sounds like gibberish. Expert listeners can examine the speech of world leaders and discover their innermost thoughts coming out in reverse while they are lying through their teeth in forward speech.
