Hi Asadour, I do believe he is one of Jehovah’s Witnesses from his website but with some rather interesting understanding of scriptures. Although he apparently believes we have been the GT for some time now. I guess since 1914 since he promotes that teaching. From my interaction with him, he is more interested in promoting his own ideas than agreeing with logic.
it’s impossible that we’ve been in the GT since 1914. Impossible. And the 1914 doctrine isn’t sound either. IMO.

FYI, The Watchtower app is reporting that Dennis Christensen has been released from Russian prison. I am happy about that and I have been praying for him. I just thought some here might want to know if they have not already seen it. He spent 5 years in prison.

Did you notice this from the article? "Also, prepare an evacuation plan. Review the contents of your go bag, "and include personal protective equipment" What might they be referring to?
Because i lived in an overpopulated city my go bag included plastic full body cover that doesnt leak. Forget what its called. But my fear was in an earthquake the sewer lines would break and backflow. Didnt want to slosh around in human feces, 🤢 Thats a form of ppe. Hopefully theyre not just refering to masks. Utterly useless masks. 😒

Great point. I don’t have that but it is a great idea. I have plastic sheeting at home for the windows in case of radiation.

that’s a good idea. do you live near a nuclear power plant? my mom lives down stream from Hanford WA nuclear waste storage- there’s a crack in Wanapum Dam that could break anytime flooding Handford and the entire Columbia River and it’s tributaries downstream to where it flows out to sea.

I ordered a supply of potassium idoide awhile back- it works for alpha and beta radiation but it won’t help for gamma.

Gamma radiation can penetrate plastics (and skin) you need a layer of protection for gamma and neutron radiation. FYI

I don’t live near a power plant and there are no nuclear power plants in Hawaii but there are nuclear subs around the islands and in the military base harbors. Plus a city worker just died from radiation poisoning and he was apparently exposed in December I think and he died very quickly but they have not identified the source of the radiation, which is troubling.

that is very troubling. I wonder if any radiation from Fukushima has reached the Hawaiian shores.

Some has, mostly via the fish and they are constantly monitoring that, but this city worker was hauling things in a truck, like recycling items and trash. I don’t think the Fukushima issue is at the extent that it would kill someone within a month, which is what happened. That means the exposure was a deadly and extreme exposure.

i totally agree. Have you ever read about the Goiânia, Brazil radiation accident? close to the same thing- someone was rummaging through what he thought was trash and found a discarded capsule of cesium137, i believe.

The folks who were directly exposed lasted about a month.

No I did not. Anything is possible but my spidey senses are alert based on the possibility of a dirty bomb.

Just so everyone knows, anyone who claims the great tribulation has already begun is either delusional, in which case there is nothing anyone can say to fix them, or they are trolling, in which case they will waste a lot of time and bandwidth. I have zero tolerance for it. Even the GB got over that nonsense 50 years ago.

Hi BTD, Your comment make me remember when I had an aquaponics system and raised fish (tilapia) as well as growing vegies. It really wasn’t easy to kill the fish when it came time to eat them. I did it but I hated it. I had to hammer them in the head and then filet them. But the fresh fish was the best. Anyway, it was a lot of work and most people have no idea how difficult it is to kill fish or an animal. But, even Jesus cooked fish for his disciples, John 21:9-10: “When they came ashore, they saw there a charcoal fire with fish lying on it and bread. Jesus said to them: “Bring some of the fish you just now caught.”
That’s good to know about Jesus cooking fish for the disciples. I have a fishing rod that I have put away for that day when there is no longer a prospect of eating.

Well Dane500, It is true, this will be my last interaction with you because I now see what you are about. First of all your initial comment was quite lengthy and so my reply to each of YOUR points may have seemed lengthy but I was limited to addressing only a few of YOUR ORIGINAL comments.

Second, you completely ignored my point that Christianity is a refinement to the “Law” and so things allowed in the “Law” are not part of Christianity, like war, sacrificing animals, etc. I completely disagree that Ecclesiastes 9:18 is even remotely recommending weapons of war as a means to protect “good accomplishment.” That is twisting scripture and when someone does that even after it’s been pointed out to them, then I will excuse myself from the conversation.

I‘m not interested in debate with you and I think I made my response to YOUR comments perfectly clear. It seems to me that you keep asking the same question. Yawn!!
Driven you touch on an important point in that the depth (or superficial) level of one’s thinking can make a ’truth’ out of fiction. Worse, that such fiction is a product of one seeking ‘permission’ (justification) to pursue a course of action that is questionable. Where, and from whom that permission is granted is irrelevant, so long as the ethos to continue in a certain way is acquired or sanctioned by another. (I should say that I have no idea what Dane is speaking in favour of, but that his/her methodology in argument is like an open book - and that it’s not the bible).
What you reveal in your note to him, is that the bible is about faith and example, love being the governor and as rightly pointed out, the attributes far away and exceed the previous law pertaining to the Jews, and introduce the governance of the Holy Spirit - what the brothers and sisters in jail in Russia are living on. There is a proof in the pudding, in that which one of us will be will be more likely to be saved by knowledge that we make of our own understanding or by the love developed in us by the Spirit, because that is what we seek first. We have I suppose, the scripture about the spirit guiding our way to the left or to the right. As you point out, it is not of our making, but as a consequence of what and whom we seek inwardly and whether we are guided by that spirit or ourselves. Why the scripture “miserable man that I am, for that which I should do I do not” . I think it is difficult, (it certainly is for me) to follow the ethos of the bible when we live in a sea of oppression. It is a blessing that we are tried by our own desires. If we were tried by the desires of others …..!…but then we are …. It is a long road.
