Remember . . . your Grand Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of distress come and the years arrive when you will say: “I have no pleasure in them.”—Eccl. 12:1.
Young ones, decide whom you will serve. You have to prove to yourself who Jehovah is, what his purpose involves, and how his will relates to your life. (Rom. 12:2) Then you will be able to make the most important decision of your life, the decision to serve Jehovah. (Josh. 24:15) If you keep a regular schedule of Bible reading and study, your love for Jehovah will continue to grow and your faith in him will become stronger. Choose to put Jehovah’s will first in your life. Satan’s world promises that if you use your talents for your own benefit, you will be happy. In truth, those who focus on material goals stab themselves “all over with many pains.” (1 Tim. 6:9, 10) On the other hand, if you listen to Jehovah and choose to put his will first in your life, you will be successful and “you will act wisely.”—Josh. 1:8. w20.10 30-31 ¶17-18

If the evil slave starts to beat his fellow slaves

“Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time? Happy is that slave if his master on coming finds him doing so!”
— Matthew 24:45-46

The Watchtower Bible Society has accomplished a great work, producing Bibles in over 100 languages and Bible-based literature in over 1,000 languages. Not only that, but it has trained and spiritually strengthened millions of Christians to use the tools provided. Jehovah’s Witnesses have done an extraordinary thing, leaving the comforts of home and seeking out persons who have a listening ear, who are teachable in order to minister to them and make disciples, as Jesus commanded. Some of Jehovah’s Witnesses have even left their own country and gone to faraway lands, learning new languages and customs and dealing with all sorts of discomforts in order to preach the good news.

Yes, there have been stumbling blocks. Jesus foretold that there would be. Jesus acknowledges the existence of corrupting influences within the symbolic congregations he oversees. For example, in Revelation Jesus said he has a few issues with those who adhere to the teachings of Balaam and Jezebel. He also voiced his hatred for the deeds of the sect of Nicholaus. Still, Jesus permits these leavening influences to continue up until the Lord’s day.

Even taking into account the Watchtower is also the source of the deluding influence that emanates from a man of lawlessness, it is undeniable that there is a slave who has provided food at the proper time—spiritual nourishment that has sustained the faith of millions.

As regards the deluding influence, over the years I have written a fair amount on the topic and so will not belabor the point here; save to say that from the beginning the Watchtower has proclaimed that the parousia has begun and the day of Jehovah is here, which is the operation of Satan backed by powerful deceptive signs and portents.

The core teaching of the organization is that the Kingdom is here, that Christ has been ruling since 1914. As the years have turned into decades and the decades have amounted to more than a century, it is to be expected that some of those slaves assigned by the master to provide food for the domestics might feel that their master is delaying. Jesus indicated as much when he said: “But if ever that evil slave says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying,’ and he starts to beat his fellow slaves and to eat and drink with the confirmed drunkards, the master of that slave will come on a day that he does not expect and in an hour that he does not know, and he will punish him with the greatest severity and will assign him his place with the hypocrites. There is where his weeping and the gnashing of his teeth will be.”

The slave does not necessarily give voice to his doubts regarding the whereabouts of the absentee master. As Jesus noted in his illustration the evil slave says in his heart “my master is delaying.”

Nevertheless, his inner heart betrays him. As a result of his lack of watchfulness the evil slave loses his spirituality and takes up associating with the confirmed drunkards and begins to beat his fellow slaves. The confirmed drunkards are the men of the world—the rulers and religious leaders.

When the Covid pandemic was unleashed on the world the Empire put into operation a form of psychological warfare designed to instill fear in order to induce the population to take the mRNA injections. The Watchtower immediately ordered every Kingdom Hall to be shuttered and shut down the public ministry. Even as most churches and businesses are now open Jehovah’s Witnesses remain in lockdown.

For more than a year the Governing Body assured Jehovah’s Witnesses that taking the controversial vaccine was a personal decision. They still insist that it is; evidently, though, contrary to their public statements the Watchtower began strong-arming Bethelites and full-time servants to get vaccinated. In response to remarks made by the mayor of New York City, the Watchtower’s public relations department issued the following statement:
We view vaccination as a personal decision for each Christian to make. Thus far 4,902 (99 percent) of the 4,926 at the offices of Jehovah’s Witnesses in New York State are fully vaccinated.

If it is a personal decision why is the Watchtower keeping a ledger of who is and who isn’t vaccinated? Why is that any of their business? Furthermore, if vaccines truly protect one from the virus why should it matter if someone is not vaccinated?

And if it is strictly a personal decision why is the percentage of vaccinated Bethelites far higher than the percentage of the general public, which appears to be slightly more than 50%? Are Bethelites just smarter or are they being coerced?

The folly of the Watchtower’s vaccination mandate is that those now deemed to be “fully vaccinated” will apparently not remain in that state. That is because in order to retain one’s fully vaccinated status regular booster shots are being recommended. So, the Watchtower has committed the entire Bethel family to a lifetime of bi-annual injections to immunize them from a virus that has a 99% survival rate and can be effectively treated without regular injections of mRNA.

Still, even if the shots only provide limited and temporary immunity it is understandable why Bethelites might submit to vaccinations since they are living in a dormitory setting and in close contact with many others on a daily basis. That is not the case, however, with millions of Jehovah’s Witnesses who have been strictly forbidden from any face-to-face contact in congregations or in field service. Given the total lockdown and isolation imposed by the Watchtower, why should any young and healthy JW be concerned about Covid?

To my knowledge, the Watchtower has never advised or mandated that the worldwide brotherhood take the shots. In fact, other than the video updates, the Watchtower has not published one word about vaccinations pro or con. That is why it was bewildering—inexplicable—that in the #7 Update a member of the Governing Body began berating JW’s for having strong opinions about the injections. Losch even accused his fellow slaves of being selfish lovers of themselves, headstrong and open to no agreement. As shocking as that was now elders worldwide are being threatened with judicial action, possibly even disfellowshipping for causing divisions. But how can having strong opinions about personal medical issues cause divisions among fellow Christians?

Given that the United Nations’ World Health Organization is funded by the Bill Gates foundation and backed by the billionaire club committed to population reduction, which is directing the pandemic response and promoting universal vaccinations, the Watchtower is by no means neutral but has become a vocal advocate of the globalists’ program. The Watchtower has even boasted about supplying the vaccines to third-world branches that could not obtain local supplies.
Their endorsement of a less-than-effective and potentially dangerous medicine promoted by an agency the Watchtower has labeled as Satan’s wild beast, and which is being enforced nationally by the worst tyranny since the Nazis terrorized Europe, it is becoming apparent that the evil slave is eating and drinking with the confirmed drunkards.

As if in a drunken rage himself, the slave is now threatening elders with the most severe punishment that can be meted out for merely having strong personal opinions about a medical treatment that hundreds of millions of people refuse to take. By the Governing Body’s shocking attack on the elders, it is now on full display that the evil slave has begun beating his fellow slaves.

Woe to the shepherds who are feeders of themselves

One man was there who had been sick for 38 years.—John 5:5.
Just north of the temple at Jerusalem was a pool known as Bethzatha. Large crowds of sick and infirm people would gather there, hoping that they would be miraculously cured. Moved with pity, Jesus approached a man who had been sick longer than Jesus had been alive on earth. Jesus inquired if he wanted to get well. The response was immediate. The man wanted to be healed but he could not see how, for he had no one to help him into the pool. Jesus then commanded the man to do the impossible—to pick up his mat and walk. Taking Jesus at his word, the man picked up his mat and began to walk. What a heartwarming foregleam of what Jesus will do in the new world! In this miracle, we also see Jesus’ compassion. He sought out the needy. Jesus’ example should motivate us to continue to seek out people in our territory who are depressed about the terrible things happening in this world.

How odd that Bethel would exhort Jehovah’s Witnesses to search out people who might be depressed over the horrible things happening in the world, when JW’s are leaving the congregations in droves due to the depressing state of affairs within the organization. How much better it would be if the kings and princes residing at One Kings Drive at Warwick were to humbly address the underlying reason for this exodus. Obviously, that would require a measure of candor and humility that the Bethel leadership simply does not possess.

The sad truth is, the Watchtower Corporation is not really interested in individuals. Like any worldly corporation, the Watchtower views people as expendable and replaceable. So what if hundreds of thousands have fallen by the wayside? Just push the publishers and pioneers to get out there and make some more disciples. Then train the learners to get out there and do the same.

Unfortunately, for them anyway, Jehovah and Christ do not view people like mere cogs in a machine. As the text shows, Christ genuinely cared for individuals. He used his power to help them. He used his time to instruct and guide any and all. Jesus also trained men to carry on his work. His parting words to one of his closest apostles were: “Feed my little sheep.”

While the Governing Body boasts of feeding the many through the hands of a few, do they really appreciate that the sheep belong to the Great Shepherd and not them? It would not appear so. Jesus said the true shepherd will leave the flock in search of the one lost lamb. True, a few years ago the Watchtower published a brochure in a lame attempt to call the lost sheep to Return to Jehovah; but without acknowledging their responsibility in stumbling so many of those who no longer wish to be Jehovah’s Witnesses, their appeal to return is hollow and vain.
It is most telling that back in 2004 I wrote an open letter to the Watchtower imploring them to say they were sorry for betraying Jehovah’s Witnesses. Apparently, it was too much to ask of them. Their response was to call upon my elders to deal with me, which they did. And in the meanwhile over the 13 years since then the Governing Body have presided over an organization that has surely lost over a million of Christ’s sheep. While the losses may not be reflected in the published numbers due to the many children of Jehovah’s Witnesses who are baptized every year and people mostly in less developed countries that become Jehovah’s Witnesses, the numbers who are fading and exiting the congregations in the United States and Europe are swelling. Take Denmark for example. Since 1991, when the eye of Horus congress hall was built, there were 16,000+ JWs in Denmark. As of last year, after thousands of hours preaching and placing tons of literature with the public, there are some 14,000 publishers. And as is typical of the Watchtower, though, they blame the lost sheep for their lack of spirituality. No doubt it has never occurred to them that Jehovah has withdrawn his support.

Ultimately, Christ will call them to account for the utter abandonment of his sheep. This will occur in the future when the world is engulfed in war —a war the princes of Bethel have assured Jehovah’s Witnesses cannot happen. But the scattering of the worldwide flock is a certainty —written in the stone of God’s word. Here is what Jehovah has said: “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel. Prophesy, and say to the shepherds, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah says: “Woe to the shepherds of Israel who have been feeding themselves! Is it not the flock that the shepherds should feed? You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, and you slaughter the fattest animal, but you do not feed the flock. You have not strengthened the weak or healed the sick or bandaged the injured or brought back the strays or looked for the lost; rather, you have ruled them with harshness and tyranny. So they were scattered because there was no shepherd; they were scattered and became food for every wild beast of the field. My sheep were straying on all the mountains and on every high hill; my sheep were scattered over all the surface of the earth, with no one searching for them or seeking to find them.”
When the Warwick project was first announced I did not expect the project to be completed, but now that it has been this past weekend’s dedication extravaganza has merely confirmed that the leadership of Jehovah’s Witnesses have become feeders of themselves. At the same time they were praising heaven for their glorious new headquarters they announced the suspension of the publication of the YearBook and the diminishment of the public’s already watered-down Watchtower to three times a year. Why even bother publishing it? If the Watchtower is food at the proper time, what is the message sent –other than that they are cutting back on the food rations for the skinned sheep in Satan’s world in order to fatten their bottom line? Too bad for them that they imagine Jehovah is honored by their obscene, gleaming granite temple. It would be much better for them to live in a tent and seek to save the lost and battered sheep who have been sickened by the Watchtower’s grotesque hypocrisy.

As it stands, with the drums of war beating louder and louder everyday, it is evident that Jehovah is marshaling his great military force to administer his punishment. Just as Jehovah used Babylon to execute his judgments against apostate Judah, the nations are aligning against America, which just so happens to be the home of the Watchtower’s world headquarters. Surely, the end result for the Watchtower organization will be the same as befell Judah in the days of his watchman, Ezekiel.

“Look! I will bring a sword against you, and I will destroy your high places. Your altars will be demolished, your incense stands will be broken, and I will throw your slain ones down before your disgusting idols. I will throw the carcasses of the people of Israel before their disgusting idols, and I will scatter your bones all around your altars. In all the places where you dwell, the cities will be devastated and the high places will be demolished and will lie devastated. Your altars will be demolished and shattered, your disgusting idols will perish, your incense stands will be cut down, and your works will be wiped out. And those slain will fall in your midst, and you will have to know that I am Jehovah.” —Ezekiel 6

Thanks for posting this, and the other article, - it's so encouraging to know that justice will finally come to those " eating and drinking" with those confirmed drunkards, supporting the wild beast.

The Epidemic Nobody Talks About: Burnout

BY TYLER DURDEN
SATURDAY, MAY 21, 2022 - 10:30 AM
Authored by Charles Hugh Smith via OfTwoMinds blog,
Burnout makes everyone uncomfortable, so it's largely a silent epidemic.

Epidemics are not just biological in origin. A strong case can be made that a silent epidemic has been sweeping the nation for years, an epidemic few acknowledge: burnout.
People say "I'm really burned out," and most of the time they mean they're temporarily exhausted, but after a weekend of respite they're back at work on Monday.
The epidemic kind of burnout isn't temporary. Taking a weekend off doesn't restore one's ability to work. This kind of burnout is the collapse of one's ability to go to work at all, a physical, emotional and psychological collapse.
Burnout isn't just the result of overwork. It's the collapse of the entire no limits, self-exploitation way of life.
People who haven't burned out are at a loss to understand this collapse, as it's so far outside their experience. Those who love their jobs and have boundless energy can't understand those who have been running on empty for far too long and are now too exhausted to get out of bed.
Lacking any direct experience of such a collapse, the non-burned-out person may offer suggestions that work on temporary exhaustion but do not help the truly burned out: take the weekend off, listen to calming music, etc.
I could not understand what burnout felt like until I experienced it myself. I burned out at age 33 and more recently, again at age 65.
Work has changed dramatically in the 52 years I've been working. Some jobs have remained pretty much the same, but most have changed in ways few recognize or understand.
The pressure on workers has increased on multiple levels. Insecurity is the norm. As I've repeatedly documented, the purchasing power of labor has declined for 45 years.
Financialization and globalization have tended to make the already-wealthy much wealthier while increasing the psychological and financial pressure on the non-wealthy.
From the point of view of the already-wealthy who dominate the media, politics, healthcare, academia and institutions, the status quo works great because they're doing great.

In my view, our society and economy are now optimized to burn people out. It's cause and effect: the only possible output of a system optimized for self-exploitation, financial insecurity and open-ended work responsibilities is burnout.
Even those with high status and income are burning out. (See chart of physicians below.)

I realize many people will object to this characterization of our economy, and by extension, our society. But those who object must ask if their own privileged position has something to do with their objection.
I've addressed these changes in the economy and work since 2009. The pressures on non-wealthy participants have accelerated sharply since 2008.
Three decades ago, there were near-zero resources to aid the burnout. There are more resources now, but the vast majority are focused on getting the burnout back to the life that burned them out in the first place.
I couldn't find any book or account that spoke to my experiences. None provided what I was looking for: a practical guide to the entire experience and recovery process of burnout.
I realized that I should write the book I wanted but could not find.
This book is my account of what helped me: a practical reckoning that laid the foundations for a practical renewal. This book is focused on burnout in the context of the society and economy we live in. My hope is that it will help those who aren't burned out better understand those who have burned out.
I am not an expert in burnout, I am only an expert in my burnout.
You can read the Introduction and Table of Contents and the first chapters for free.
Burnout makes everyone uncomfortable, so it's largely a silent epidemic.
In my experience, there are no easy one-size-fits-all answers to burnout, but there is a way forward.
