So, here it is Wednesday...any word yet? Any life-saving instructions conveyed from on high? Just spitballing here, but say, if a country as big as the USA is embroiled in civil strife and you got your go bags all ready to go, where do you go? The GB and all the kings' helpers must be feeling pretty secure out there in the castle in the woods. They even have gated security. No need for a go bag.

I asked the same question about where to go with a go bag. People can only live for so long with limited supplies, out in the sticks. The summer of BLM had "activities" all summer long and when they realized that most people were oblivious to them, they started moving through residential areas. I suppose a group could keep that up indefinitely if they didn't have jobs to go to and no food to eat.

I have to admit that I overreacted in starting this post as it turned out to be a normal meeting part, no special announcement. That's what I get for not listening correctly but by the time we get to the end of mid week meeting in 80 degree heat (no ac at the hall) wearing a suit jacket with a face diaper strapped to my face holes for 2 hours, I'm on the verge of hyperventilating and the brain starved for oxygen can only take so much. I'm doing it for you'll folks, taking one for the team 😁😎

All jokes aside, I have to say that the meeting part in relation to the topic was quite practical for short term emergencies. I guess each family would have to decide whether to shelter in place or flee (with go bag) due to circumstances. They didn't really say where we would go so again up to individual circumstance I guess. They did announce that we should consider individual "Covid risk" before we decide to house displaced brothers.

I was talking to a customer yesterday who happens to be a sister. She was happy to announce that she was ready with go bag and would bug out to the Kingdom Hall if neccessary....I guess that might be a good plan?

I prefer to stay put and defend the castle if at all possible. Especially now that we are in a rural area. Only problem here would be flooding. Happy survival to all!

I guess this all depends on the kind of crisis you are envisioning. In neighborhoods I suspect (mainly in the US) that they would form neighborhood collectives to defend turf in case of some sort of rioting or uprising - that might be a good time to leave. If we are talking floods and tornadoes - well, the go-bag will hold you over until FEMA arrives or brothers can fit you in their homes. If you are having to evacuate due to fear/persecution, the Kingdom Hall would be about as helpful as WACO was for the Branch Davidians. As for Covid at least here in the States, it is legal to purchase Ivermectin in Tennessee and have it mailed to you as a backup. Maybe that should be in the go-bags, too.
I am not leaving my dogs behind for anything in the world so I guess I am limited to living in my car or wandering aimlessly in the woods 😏.

Well Dane500, It is true, this will be my last interaction with you because I now see what you are about. First of all your initial comment was quite lengthy and so my reply to each of YOUR points may have seemed lengthy but I was limited to addressing only a few of YOUR ORIGINAL comments.

Second, you completely ignored my point that Christianity is a refinement to the “Law” and so things allowed in the “Law” are not part of Christianity, like war, sacrificing animals, etc. I completely disagree that Ecclesiastes 9:18 is even remotely recommending weapons of war as a means to protect “good accomplishment.” That is twisting scripture and when someone does that even after it’s been pointed out to them, then I will excuse myself from the conversation.

I‘m not interested in debate with you and I think I made my response to YOUR comments perfectly clear. It seems to me that you keep asking the same question. Yawn!!
You have good instinct Driven! Dane500 immediately put me on edge. I decided to try giving a benefit of doubt, and read a random thing that he was pointing to. <link https://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/index.php?threads/red-letter-version-of-the-nwt.1093/post-26027 /link>

I like to take the approach that anyone can have any ideas they like so long as they are reasonable, seeking the truth and willing to both admit when wrong and change their thinking when shown sound reasoning. I thing Dane500 was not here to reason, and was here to show off his library of text. I found an issue with the text in the first few pages, and that calls into question everything else.

We are confronted by evil every day. I am going to pray for Dane and the Danes out there right now. Seek the truth Danes, burried within many lines of truth is an operation of error that if we do not recognize it we will reap death from it.

that is very troubling. I wonder if any radiation from Fukushima has reached the Hawaiian shores.
Excerpt from article on radiation from Fukushima:
Radiation from Fukushima has reached the United States in three ways. Air currents carried radiation across the Pacific to the United States. Radioactive iodine and cesium were detected in air, rainwater, surface water and some food samples collected in California within a few days of the Fukushima disaster.
This was from 2016 and the article states that it posed no harm to humans.
Imagine how saturated the Pacific region ecosystem has become from unabated radio active waste water being pumped into the waters off Fukushima.
The government will never tell us how bad it has become.

I have consulted with my crystal ball, and posed the question of where these life saving instructions would direct us. The reply was ”somewhere else”, and which for the watchtower is a fairly clear and definite reply.

Actually, whatever so-called instructions the gb might give - it might be a good idea to do the exact opposite- ( if you value your life) - [ just thinking out loud ];)

where do you go?
Camp Dudley. Bring a tent, sleeping bag, some matches, wieners and marshmallows for roasting, heavy blankets, fishing poles- hunker down in your tent till the worst passes.

Im tell you this is how JWs think.

Does anyone think that the GB is going open its gates to its Tuxedo Kings Drive compound for rank and file JWs to hunker down in safety there? Doubtful.

It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

I’d think that all the fema camps throughout the country will have food which will be used to lure people in only to find out they’ve entered detainment facilities.
I believe Jones did a show on one of those installations and it was more reminiscent of a prison than a benevolent disaster relief and food distribution center.

They have their own geo-thermal energy plant? Or is that Ramapo?

Exactly right. He just never responded to anything that challenged his ideas, he only wanted to challenge others and really pushed for all to go to his website or archive of “ramblings“. I find most of the members are interested in building each other up and occasionally there is disagreement but you can tell when a member is interested in the good of others and the community. He just wasn’t. Thank you for your comments.

This is such a travesty.

Since we had to put Sadie down last year my wife has been urging me to get another dog. I am resisting for the very reason that I do not want to be worried about taking care of an animal when everything blows up. On the other hand, a well-trained bit bull might be worth the bother

You may be right. That sounds like something they would try. For like two years I keep seeing people mention Walmarts as potential detention centers. It could be anything at that point. They can do what they want. I'm not going to fight to stay on this planet but I will fight incarceration.

I've got four cats and a lot of food. Worst case I can rip open all the bags and they can drink water out of the pool. I don't have any plans to run. They have satellites, infrared, night vision and heat detection. Where can we go that can't be tracked?

I have four mylar blankets it doesn't hurt but have no illusions it'd be adequate to avert being picked up by the governments infared equipment.
They have heat detection now. It's one of the ways they were finding illegal marijuana grow operations in homes. The good news is that when it's their turn to hide, they will beg the mountains to fall on them and hide them.
