GB Update #8

I didn't comment on another disturbing aspect of the "Update" regarding the WT in Norway. Because of the harsh way in which disfellowshipping is practiced the government of Norway has understandably ruled to cut off funding for the WT. The "Update" presents it as a great injustice and the Norwegian brother expresses the Society's determination to get the money the government gives to all religions. Say what???? It really is all about the money now. 😒
After Russel, it's always been about the money. Quote. Religion is a racket and a snare. Joseph Rutherford..

Miss the old Saturday night live.
Could he do the little jig too?
Exactly. Such a disconnect- It doesn't sound like the Norway gov is stopping the gathering together or preaching work... JUST the man-made gov scheme of tax exemptions or grants... so if this was REALLY Jehovah's organization, why would that even matter? Why not apply the principle of "obeying government authorities" in this instance? Sure, obey the authorities when it comes to vx, mask, and social distancing mandates that prevent preaching and meeting together, but sue and fight the authorities when they threaten to not give grant money? The breakdown of the whole narrative is SO obvious.
Whatever happened to the concept voiced long ago be a WT leader that when Jehovah fails to supply our financial needs, we’ll understand it as the time to close down the org?

Just the opposite situation has arisen. There is no lack. Far from it. The coffers over-floweth. The men running the Watchtower view the organization as their own cash cow and are intent on milking it as long as they can. Like an old Pink Floyd song, they are riding the gravy train. Their greed and avarice will move Jehovah to close them down. As the scripture says, they have fattened their hearts on the day of slaughter.

Great piece! The WT leaders mimic the government in their gluttonously slurping up as much gravy as they can before the train goes over the cliff. They know it’s coming but they slurp all the more furiously.
As interest rates rise, which they will, the US will not be able to service it’s debt anymore and then it’s over.
Something big will have to happen which we here already know will.

The GB would have to consider this scripture when making this decision for anyone 18 and under in regards to disfellowshipping or social isolation due to a teenagers sin.
"Certainly if anyone does not provide for those who are his own, and especially for those who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith." - 1 Tim 5:8.

They are still a minor. They should make it clear at least that they don't disfellowship minors. Some may have got baptized too early and sinned while they are still a minor. I know that happened before as I heard stories of someone's teen having premarital sex with someone else while in highschool. You're essentially disowning your minor child as they haven't become an adult yet. It's a rare occurrence but disfellowshipping minors should not be allowed. This goes beyond the Faith.

Translation:
No, the children who have been disowned have not always lived in resentment. Some of us stumble due to the abandonment of the congregation and our families and we beg our Father for justice. And He in his undeserved kindness gave us a titanic strength to win back our hearts. Because Jehovah never forgets those who belong to him. Psalm 34:7-
The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him,
And he defends them. The power of our immeasurable Father. ♥️
