How would you feel about working for employers in christendom?

Update,

Just found out that the assistant principal at one school lied to me about the person who left the last job. As it turns out, the previous teacher got into an altercation at the school with a student. I will be passing on this one now. It's funny because I really was about to call him tomorrow and take the job. For whatever reason I happened to come across the news story just in time.

I still have an opportunity to teach in Jacksonville, and it seems it would be easier to find a place to live there. Might be a better school.

I passed on the coaching gig in Kentucky last week. But the head coach told me to let him know if anything changes. The job was re-posted.

Going to have to decide between these two.
Saint Augustine is a nice place, and its the oldest city in the US.. You might look into a boat to buy that is at a dock already..owning a boat is less than a house for sure..It takes some adjusting and giving up a lot of things. Port Lucy has a dry dock that rents places for people to store boats on land and some people walk off from their boats and make the dock sell the boat to recover lost fees. Just a thought..I Love the ocean and praying to Jehovah daily looking across the water. My other half used to go out and blow the conch horn at sunset every night and get everyone else to do the same, too funny!, then he would thank Jehovah for the earth and our life..Hope you find a good job!!!

Why? Just because the other person had an issue with a student doesn't mean you will.

You need to get in the "welcome back Kotter groove". It's a tough school with tough pupils but you're going to straighten it all out.

Well, at least that's what the TV told me and the sun always shines on TV.

Lol. Well, the issue is not the school or the actual incident. I don't expect things to be perfect. The issue is my potential boss boldface lying to me when I am asking for some transparency. That was the dealbreaker. It is also no wonder the position has been open for over 2 months now.

Ah, I see. Did you ask him directly and he lied to your face then? Q: "Why did the last person leave?" A: "He moved on to greener pastures." Perhaps he massaged the truth a bit to attract you to the job. Sure fire way to test this is negotiate. See if he'll go higher on the wages/bennies. Sometimes people don't lie but they just don't tell you the whole truth...for various reasons.

But I suppose it's a done deal...

Yeah it was the third time I spoke with him and made it direct and clear, yet he gave me a half truth. So hopefully this other school is better.
