Latvia Threatens to “Liquidate” the Jehovah’s Witnesses

"Folkmanis insists that the Jehovah’s Witnesses collect huge resources and are “essentially a transnational financial corporation.”"

Check!

"the Jehovah’s Witnesses hide, rather than reporting, cases of pedophilia and sexual abuse"

Check!

They've brought it down on themselves for forsaking the true God. Hopefully, the good and humble Brothers and Sisters will be protected by Jehovah. It's not their fault the "corporation" has messed everything up.

When Russia pulled the ban off, I had a feeling that it would be a precedent to other nations to follow suit.

On Barbara Anderson's website I just cam across this today. It's a shocker to say the least.

When Russia pulled the ban off, I had a feeling that it would be a precedent to other nations to follow suit.
The court case in Russia that due to Jeffrey Jackson’s incompetence in answering basic questions on the shunning issue connected with disfellowship policy was found to be classified as ‘emotional torture’ this is one of the listed abuses that breaches Art 9 of the UN charter of Human Rights that all member nations of the UN are expected to comply with. Russia being a signatory did the lawful loyal action since each member nation should comply as members To any recognised organisation that operates within their domain. Every signatory nation should copy Russian action to comply with international law concerning being members of the UN.
The governing Body has been lying to the membership that it’s unfair persecution it is action within the framework of Caesars international laws. Such a breach means JW are in breach of Christ command to ‘give Caesars things to Caesar’. I wrote directly to the GB in Warwick in 2019 to make this clear. No only would all UN member states be acting to protect their own citizens from abuse by coping Russia‘s action and ban us, and since such a practice breaches Christs commands then there will no protection from him. I urged them to cancel this unlawful, unscriptural practice with some sense of urgency but to no avail. Shunning your fellow brothers is the same a ‘beating his fellow slaves’ is an action of the ‘evil slave’ not the ‘faithful and discreet’ one. Mth 24:45-51

exactly.

Even though it would bring enormous relief to those harmed by the it, Watchtower can’t undo the shunning policy because for one thing, think of those who have been shunning their loved ones for decades- all that lost time for an “oops, sorry we read that wrong”, Watchtower is never wrong.

it would also allow those who wanted to peacefully walk away from Watchtower (but weren’t allowed) to communicate why they left and perhaps the sharing of information would pull others out of the Organization.

Watchtower claims shunning is a “loving provision” designed by God to bring ones back into the org- it’s not. Its a blasphème against God-

it serves a two-fold purpose: to quash any/all communication of Watchtower’s many failures, abuses and crimes, and two: a form of punishment.

There is no love in the shunning policy and anyone that would come back to the org due to shunning, does so under coercion and duress.

A youtube channel called “Watchtower History” does an excellent seven part discussion on the shunning policy, where it came from, how it evolved and why.
