I must . . . declare the good news of the Kingdom of God . . . , because for this I was sent.—Luke 4:43.
In the first century, the message that Jesus preached offered hope to all mankind. He commanded his followers to continue the work he started, to give a witness “to the most distant part of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) Of course, they could not do this work in their own strength. They would need holy spirit—“the helper” that Jesus had promised them. (John 14:26; Zech. 4:6) Jesus’ followers received the holy spirit at Pentecost 33 C.E. With the help of that spirit, they immediately began to preach, and in a short time, thousands accepted the good news. (Acts 2:41; 4:4) When opposition arose, the disciples did not give in to fear but turned to God for help. They prayed: “Grant to your slaves to keep speaking your word with all boldness.” They were then filled with holy spirit and kept “speaking the word of God with boldness.”—Acts 4:18-20, 29, 31. w20.10 21 ¶4-5

Moving Ahead with Jehovah’s Organization? Part 1

March 9th, 2014

Jehovah surely is a God of organization and order. The physical heavens as well as the armies of the invisible realm give testimony to that, as the May 2014, Watchtower, article asserts. The instances of Noah and his family, as well as Moses and the Israelites, and the original Christian society, are also examples of how God promoted organization among his people.

In view of the above-cited examples, the next Watchtower article poses the question: Are You Moving Ahead With Jehovah’s Organization?

As a brief overview the article focuses on the attack of Gog of Magog upon God’s people in the final part of the days and God’s response to it. The prophecy in the 38th chapter of Ezekiel indicates there will be earthly survivors of that war, who obviously parallel that “great crowd” in Revelation, who are said to “come out of the great tribulation” – meaning, they survive it.

The article presupposes that the Watchtower Society is Jehovah’s organization and that it will be instrumental in guiding Jehovah’s Witnesses to the salvation God Eagle_nebula_pillars provides then. Surely none of Jehovah’s Witnesses doubt that. But since this is undoubtedly an issue that involves our very lives, let us consider the questions: First, is the Watchtower Society Jehovah’s organization? And secondly: If so, will it be a reliable guide, an ark of salvation for Jehovah’s Witnesses during the tempest of Jehovah that is destined to come upon the world in the immediate future?
In our limited capacity as imperfect earthlings most people tend to think that the way things are in the present is the way they will always be. But Jehovah exists outside the human realm, far above even the heavens of the heavens. He not only can foresee the future he can make it happen. In fact, the very name YHWH in Hebrew literally means “He who causes to become.”

Jehovah’s Witnesses are blessed to have faith in God’s promise of a future world, a bright new world beyond the blackness of a great tribulation that will exterminate most of the people presently living.

And the very existence of a dynamic evangelical society at this critical juncture in world history; one modeled after the original congregation; a society devoted to proclaiming God’s long-lost name and his purpose to create a new world; a unique brotherhood composed both of those whose hope is to rule with Christ and those who hope to be his earthly subjects, indicates that the Watchtower Society is as advertised – Jehovah’s organization.

But the more pertinent question is if the Watchtower Society will still be Jehovah’s organization in the future?

The vast majority of Jehovah’s Witnesses are incapable of even considering such a question to be valid, much less so are they inclined to reason upon it or accept the scriptural answer to it. And for that reason, the Watchtower Society must go.

That may sound like an irrational statement. And no doubt Jehovah’s Witnesses – particularly the leadership of the Watchtower Society – will scoff at the mere suggestion that Jehovah is determined to dispose of “Jehovah’s organization,” but it is certain as the coming of Christ.
To appreciate why that is the case Jehovah’s Witnesses merely have to reason upon the great universal issues that we are privy to; namely, God’s sovereignty and our integrity to it. And we know it is God’s purpose to completely settle the challenges raised by the Slanderer.

Part 2

CONSIDER THE CASE OF JOB job

The book of Job allows us to gain access into Jehovah’s heavenly court and listen to an actual exchange between Satan and Jehovah concerning the man Job – that there was none like him on the earth at that time, keeping faith in God. And, of course, Satan accused God of putting a “protective hedge” around Job, which God removed to satisfy the demands of the Accuser.

(It should be noted that Job was not an Israelite. He apparently lived prior to time that God established a covenant with the Hebrews. Thus, he was not part of any organization. He stood as an individual – a theatrical spectacle to angels and men, as Paul said of Christians.)

We now stand at the threshold of the new world and the end of Satan’s reign. That means the issues have to be settled with finality. And center stage stand those who keep the commands of God and have the work of bearing witness to Jesus. So, God must remove the “protective hedge” around them, that being the Watchtower Society. A similar test came upon the apostles, when Satan demanded to have them to sift them as wheat. Why ought Jehovah’s Witnesses imagine they are exempt from being tested and sifted in an unexpected manner to which they have not been specifically alerted?

Having insight into the overarching issues between Jehovah and Satan we can better appreciate why God has hidden the reality of a future judgment from those who otherwise have been given knowledge. The 57th chapter of Isaiah is addressed to God’s covenanted people living prior to the coming of the Kingdom, wherein God says: “Whom did you become frightened at and begin to fear, so that you took up lying? But I was not the one that you remembered. You took nothing to your heart. Was I not keeping silent and hiding matters? So you were in no fear even of me. I myself shall tell forth your righteousness and your works, that they will not benefit you. When you cry for aid your collection of things will not deliver you, but a wind will carry even all of them away. An exhalation will take them away, but the one taking refuge in me will inherit the land and will take possession of my holy mountain. And one will certainly say, ‘Bank up, you people, bank up! Clear the way. Remove any obstacle from the way of my people.’”

The leadership of the Watchtower Society has certainly taken up lying. They not only lie as regards the secret doings of the legal department, and their secret partnership with the United Nations, but more disconcerting, they promote a deception concerning the very return of Christ. Perhaps the biggest lie is that Jehovah’s Witnesses can only move forward into the new world by dutifully following that which is presently accepted as “Jehovah’s organization.”

But since it can be irrefutably demonstrated that the Watchtower’s 1914 invisible parousia is a fraud, which skews all other applications of prophecy, the Watchtower itself stands as an obstacle that will eventually have to be removed in order to “clear the way” for God’s people to “take possession of my holy mountain.” Jehovah’s so-called “visible organization,” with its printeries, kingdom halls and assembly halls and all the rest, are but a mere “collection of things” that cannot save and will be blown away by the tempest of Jehovah. But those who take refuge in Jehovah – and not in any earthly organization – “will inherit the land.”
Now briefly consider one well worn lie the May 2014, Watchtower, continues to push. Paragraph two states:
“Jesus foretold what would happen in the last days: “There will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again.” (Matthew 24:3, 21) This tribulation will start when Jehovah destroys “Babylon the Great,” the world empire of false religion. He will use human governments to do this. (Revelation 17:3-5, 16) What will come next?”

No doubt when this article is discussed in the congregations around the world the cited verses will be read and Jehovah’s Witnesses will have highlighted the “correct” answer and no one will be aware of the fact that there is absolutely nothing in either Matthew or Revelation that indicates that the tribulation will start when Jehovah destroys Babylon the great.
Jesus opens seal
On the contrary, the opening of the sixth seal of the Apocalypse initiates the tribulation, symbolized as the sun going black, the stars falling from heaven, the mountains being rocked and so forth. The Watchtower claims the sixth seal was unsealed back in 1914, but the upheavals of the First World War were only the preliminary temblors of the great, earth-rocking tribulation to come.

Regardless of the obvious absurdity of that line of reasoning, by the Watchtower’s own words it can be demonstrated that they are intentionally lying when they repeatedly declare that the tribulation will begin when Babylon the great is destroyed.

The reason this lie is repeated over and over is because the Watchtower desires Jehovah’s Witnesses to believe that the destruction of typical Jerusalem and the temple prefigures Babylon the great instead of Christ’s congregation. And if Jehovah’s Witnesses were to recognize that the holy place that is destined for desolation is actually Jehovah’s organization, so-called, then that would mean that when the disgusting thing stands where it ought not then true Christians will be required to flee from the Watchtower Society!

But, again, the Society’s fraud can be easily exposed under the light of God’s word.
Take for example, the eighth chapter of Daniel, which foretells that a king fierce in countenance will bring desolation and trample upon a holy place and throw down Christ’s sanctuary during the final part of the days. This obviously parallels what Jesus foretold regarding a disgusting thing trampling upon a holy place during the conclusion.

The Watchtower, though, claims this took place back during the Second World War. However, the prophecy indicates that the Prince of princes will destroy the king for his bringing the holy ones to ruin.
Unblushingly, the 10th paragraph states:
“The earthly part of God’s organization is moving ahead in many ways. It helps us understand Bible truth more and more clearly. That is exactly what was promised in the Bible: “The path of the righteous is like the bright morning light that grows brighter and brighter until full daylight.”

Since the Watchtower shows no indication that it is concerned about the manifold errors is espouses in the name of Jehovah, it is out of the question that Jehovah’s Witnesses will move forward into the new system following the Watchtower Society. On the contrary, at the coming of Christ the Society will become a massive, potentially lethal stumbling block for all of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

“For Jehovah will rise up as at Mount Perazim;
He will rouse himself as in the valley near Gibeon,
That he may do his deed—his strange deed—
And that he may carry out his work—his unusual work.
Now do not scoff, so that your bonds may not be further tightened,
For I have heard from the Sovereign Lord, Jehovah of armies,

That an extermination has been determined for all the land.”

Moving Ahead With Jehovah’s Organization – Until When? Part 1

Tuesday, July 26 2016

I am engaging in the holy work of the good news of God.—Rom. 15:16.
Preaching the good news contributes to the sanctification of Jehovah’s holy name. And it surely is an inestimable privilege to be entrusted with “the glorious good news of the happy God.” God wants us to maintain good spiritual health by sticking to him and supporting his organization in its various activities. Moses told the Israelites: “I take the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you today that I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the curse; and you must choose life so that you may live, you and your descendants, by loving Jehovah your God, by listening to his voice, and by sticking to him, for he is your life and by him you will endure a long time in the land that Jehovah swore to give to your forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.” Our life depends on doing Jehovah’s will, loving him, obediently listening to his voice, and sticking to him.

COMMENTARY

The Watchtower article upon which the day’s text is based is entitled Are You Moving Ahead With Jehovah’s Organization? (This article is discussed in detail in Watchtower Review)

The article states that the organization is successful because it has Jehovah’s approval. And the assumption is that it always will. To prove their point they cite the prophecy of Ezekiel concerning the attack upon “Israel” by Gog and his hordes and Jehovah’s crushing response.
The issue, though, is not whether the Watchtower is Jehovah’s organization. I, for one, believe that it is. The question is: Will it continue to be going forward?
D-12-WT-collapse-copy-3 The suggestion that the Watchtower will not always serve as the governing and guiding agency for Jehovah’s Witnesses is not a new concept to longtime readers of this site. One of the first articles that appeared on e-watchman in 2002 was entitled The Coming Collapse of the Watchtower. Check it out on the Wayback Machine. (Now a chapter in Jehovah Himself Has Become King)

It is not that I am so insightful. The problem is that Jehovah’s Witnesses are so very blind. And I do not mean merely the lowly publishers. It is a top-down condition —imposed upon all from Bethel. Allow me to walk you through the obvious error the Watchtower embraces as exhibited in the Moving Forward piece. Consider this condensed quote taken from the opening paragraphs of the article:
The new organization, so highly favored by God, survived the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 C.E. Those first-century events were a precursor of developments involving Jehovah’s present-day servants. Satan’s system of things will soon come to its end, but God’s organization will survive the last days. How can we be sure about this? What did Jesus say about the “great tribulation,” and how will it start? Regarding his invisible presence and the conclusion of the system of things, Jesus said: “There will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again.” This unparalleled tribulation will start when Jehovah brings destruction on “Babylon the Great,” the world empire of false religion, by using the political powers.”

If you read the entire article the Watchtower points out numerous features of the law that God gave the Israelites that foreshadow aspects of the modern organization. For example, in paragraph 11 the annual festivals are compared to assemblies and conventions sponsored by the Watchtower. The question for thinking Jehovah’s Witnesses to consider is this: Since there is an obvious parallel by what method of reasoning does Jerusalem of old come to represent Babylon the Great, the world empire of false religion? The reason that question is pertinent is because on the one hand the Watchtower recognizes that Israel and their temple-centered worship served as Jehovah’s earthly organization then, but on the other hand they assert that the holy place that Jesus said would be desolated by a disgusting things represents the entire system of false religion.

There is only one reason for that wholly unreasonable, unscriptural leap of logic. It is because everything the Watchtower teaches as regards prophecy places all of God’s judgments against Christianity into the past —the past in this case being 1914-1919. That is why Bethel has developed a rather elaborate mythology around the events associated with J.F. Rutherford’s brief imprisonment and his subsequent release from Babylon the Great.

The Watchtower’s fallacy becomes more recognizable when we consider the facts. According to the WT the “Jerusalem” that Jesus foretold would be brought to desolation during the tribulation represents apostate Christendom and even Babylon the Great because the religion of the Jews in Jesus’ day had become apostate. But was it? Did Jesus advise his followers to ‘get out of her,’ to abandon Judaism? Not at all. In fact, Jesus used the Jewish form of religion as the basis for his own teachings. To illustrate the point, in his Sermon of the Mount Jesus taught that if your brother has a grievance with you then leave your gift at the altar and go make peace with your brother. Then come back to the temple to offer up your gift. Obviously, Christ had in mind offering gifts at the temple.

Furthermore, although the institution of the Pharisees was not something that was part of the original organization, but came into existence after the Jews returned from Babylon, nonetheless, Jesus commanded his followers to obey the Pharisees, just not imitating their hypocrisy.

Part 2

The Watchtower implies that once Christianity was established that the Christianized Jews abandoned Judaism. That is simply not true. Here is a sampling of scriptures from the book of Acts that prove otherwise:
  • And day after day they were in constant attendance at the temple with one accord… —Acts 2:46
  • Now Peter and John were going up into the temple for the hour of prayer, the ninth hour… — Acts 3:1
  • But during the night Jehovah’s angel opened the doors of the prison, brought them out and said: ‘Be on your way, and, having taken a stand in the temple, keep on speaking to the people all the sayings about this life.’ After hearing this, they entered into the temple at daybreak and began to teach. — Acts 5:19-21
  • But a certain man arrived and reported to them: ‘Look! The men you put in the prison are in the temple, standing and teaching the people.’ —Acts 5:25
  • And every day in the temple and from house to house they continued without letup teaching and declaring the good news about the Christ, Jesus. —Acts 5:42
  • Then Paul took the men along the next day and cleansed himself ceremonially with them and went into the temple, to give notice of the days to be fulfilled for the ceremonial cleansing, until the offering should be presented for each one of them… —Acts 21:26
  • “But when I had returned to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, I fell into a trance and saw him saying to me, ‘Hurry up and get out of Jerusalem quickly, because they will not agree to your witness concerning me.’” —Acts 22:17-18
  • “And Paul, when the governor nodded to him to speak, answered: ‘Knowing well that this nation has had you as judge for many years, I readily speak in my defense the things about myself, as you are in a position to find out that for me it has not been more than twelve days since I went up to worship in Jerusalem; and they found me neither in the temple arguing with anyone nor causing a mob to rush together, either in the synagogues or throughout the city…’” —Acts 24:10-12

Clearly, the apostles did not consider the temple as unholy. Quite the contrary, they not only preached to the Jews in the temple, but also went to the temple to worship and pray. An angel even commanded Peter to go to the temple and preach. Had they considered Judaism to be a false religion Jesus’ disciples would never have based their Christian activities upon the temple. And to emphasize the point, in the account in the 22nd chapter of Acts Jesus even appeared to Paul in a vision while he was in the temple praying, telling him to get out of there because the Jews were going to kill him. If Jesus considered the temple to be unholy wouldn’t he have told Paul to get out on the basis that the temple was unclean?

The fact that the Christian Jews in Judea continued to worship in the temple long after they were anointed underscores the importance of Jesus’ warning to them: “Therefore, when you catch sight of the disgusting thing that causes desolation, as spoken about by Daniel the prophet, standing in a holy place (let the reader use discernment), then let those in Judea begin fleeing to the mountains. Let the man on the housetop not come down to take the goods out of his house, and let the man in the field not return to pick up his outer garment. Woe to the pregnant women and those nursing a baby in those days! Keep praying that your flight may not occur in wintertime nor on the Sabbath day; for then there will be great tribulation such as has not occurred since the world’s beginning until now, no, nor will occur again. In fact, unless those days were cut short, no flesh would be saved; but on account of the chosen ones those days will be cut short.”

Seeing that the Jewish Christians did not abandon Jerusalem or the holy temple until the disgusting thing appeared, requiring them to exercise faith in Jesus’ words, there is no legitimacy in the Watchtower’s claim that Jerusalem foreshadows Babylon the Great. Instead, it aptly prefigures Jehovah’s earthly organization now, which as Daniel reveals (let the reader use discernment) is due to suffer desolation when the last king comes on the scene.

Sadly, Bethel’s blindness finds a parallel with the Jews who did not discern the time of their being inspected.

Thank you @Watchman and @PJ54 for today's Daily text/Examining the Scriptures. I didn't log in for meeting today because my heart just wasn't in it. The feeling of being the outcast has bogged me down. I turned in time this past month (not much) to the elders and got no response. I also even requested territory and still no response. Kind of to the point of "Why do I even try anymore"? I feel so far away from the brothers and Sisters in my congregation. As if I am on an entirely different planet than them and speaking a different language. Every now and then for instance today, the guilt of "not following in line" gets to me.. I have been praying to Jehovah for clarity regarding this issue and today I got what I needed-no doubt a "sign" from the holy spirit to let me know I am on the right path. I believe the above was my answer and I will continue to mediate on this point and look to this forum as my new congregation💜 This is where the truth is in my opinion and where true learning is taking place. Thank you Robert for bringing us together. I would be truly lost with out it.

Hi Jess. I enjoyed your honesty. I was raised a JW. I'm 66 next month. So it's been a long haul for me. Back in 1969 I was told we were no longer in the GT by my parents. That was the 1st crack for me. The 2nd one was 1975. I told an elder that I didn't think it was going to end then and he told me to shut my mouth. The cracks got a little wider. Then 1975 came and went and I saw people leave the org. However I still believed we had the truth because we were the only ones preaching and teaching God's Kingdom and the hope for mankind. I was confused to say the least. But I had my parents to talk to and they helped me stay the course. Then they came out with "we don't know who the king of the north is" after the fall of the Soviet Union. Not to mention that the WT changed its toon about the UN, saying good things about it in the early 90's. I threw that right in my dads face when I read the first article. He was dumbfounded to say the least. The crack was getting wider and now longer. I was getting so bored at the meetings that I just sat there and read the Bible instead of listening. to the program. That was the beginning of my search for the rest of the "truth". I will make this in 2 parts....stay tuned

part 2. In 2001 I moved back to North County and started attending meetings there. It had become way worse with alot of the comments praising the GB and leaving Jesus as a side show at best. It made me cringe. Then 911 happened and the Guardian exposing the WT and the UN bedfellows arrangement. Along with the Silent Lambs exposing the horrific cover-up of the sexual child abuse in the org. And yes sad to say if you don't go along with everything they say or point out some things that are just plain wrong, you will be excluded or at least "marked." But not by all. You have us here at the e-watchman and it's been my congregation for over 3 1/2 years. Anyways time went on and I lost my mom in 2010 and my dad in 2014. He was 92. And I went into a deep funk. There was something wrong. At about this time I was talking to Medi-tater and telling him about my search for more truth. And then one early morning prayer to Jehovah about what I needed and low and behold there was Roberts furry face with that cute little smile on you-tube and the name Jehovah in the heading. And it all started to fall in place. Like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. I haven't stopped reading since. Although WT has served a good purpose in spreading Jehovah's name and purpose for the earth and I am thankful for that along with the many good friends that I have made through the years, it was a stepping stone for me. I'm thankful to Jehovah for my prayer to be answered and I arrived in this congregation.

And should not the society willingly surrender themselves to Jehovah when their job has been fulfilled? Jesus will do that in the future. After the 1,000 years, he will in fact surrender the creation back to Jehovah where it belongs and where it was originally anyway.

Since the Watchtower shows no indication that it is concerned about the manifold errors is espouses in the name of Jehovah, it is out of the question that Jehovah’s Witnesses will move forward into the new system following the Watchtower Society. On the contrary, at the coming of Christ the Society will become a massive, potentially lethal stumbling block for all of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

“For Jehovah will rise up as at Mount Perazim;

Very nice to know the history. Thank you.

Awesome post.

Wow Jess and Brother potato.. so much honest and simple truth... Thank you. :)

<long rant warning:>

I have gained a lot from your comments, and from some of the others here. Many times there have been comments on the forum similar to this:
You have us here at the e-watchman and it's been my congregation for over 3 1/2 years.

For many here on this forum ... (all of e-watchman, but the forum being the public gathering place, gifted to JW's by Watchman... no doubt he would credit Jehovah): ... This has become a pseudo congregation of and for JW's estranged or PIMO'ed by erroneous religious doctrine that has led us to find this place.

Yes, I, also, just called this a "congregation"... (loosely). This designation may not sit well with everyone because it is not defined clearly and I doubt there would be even two people that would define it the same. Also, using the word congregation leads to the word sect... and other words that again, no definition and a lot of potential for people to be offended, even though I am certain that is never the intent.

One issue is that a congregation is typically associated with a Hall, or a specific House. When we walk into the Hall, we are on our best behavior. We may not always engage that way when we post in here. A couple of times I ceased posting for a while. I have made a few flippant comments and had to back away and examine my conduct. I have purposely not deleted any comment, I made it, I own it. This forum has no rules, but we as Christians do have, so we might consider that in everything we post. Eph Ch. 5 comes to mind.

Another issue (in calling this our congregation) is that we are pseudo anonymous here. Anyone can set the table with food of all sorts, and anyone can speak to the entire congregation. That's not the case in a Hall is it.

Recently, one of the threads on here resulted in the jolting awareness to me that every congregation is different. Even with the unity enforced by the WT, and every congregation considering the same sheet of music, there are major differences specific to the culture where the congregation is. <link> https://e-jehovahs-witnesses.com/in...hould-i-stay-or-should-i-go-in.942/post-22656 </link> With this in mind, consider that, although we have few in this forum congregation, we come from all over the world. This is the most diverse group of JW's in the world, and would explain why we see things very differently at times.

“Every plant that my heavenly Father did not plant will be uprooted. Let them be. Blind guides is what they are. If, then, a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” Matt15:13,14

E-watchman has given us solid food to eat. The blind guides have lost their way. What are we to do? I think exactly as we are commanded to do.

So sorry you are being treated like that

Thank you Brother Potato for sharing your story as well. I was only baptized less than two years before the pandemic started. I often think of the Brothers and Sisters like you who have devoted SO much more time and effort to the organization and how much harder it must have been to come to grips with all of this! I think like anything, it is a grieving process but at the same time, happy to have found Robert as a landing pad as you are! (Robert’s furry little face lol). Many are not as blessed. (Btw My longtime tendency was to say “lucky” or “fortunate” 😂)

Bro Po, you should add this story to the introductions section of the forum so it can be more readily accesses (catagorized) for new ones to read.
I think I can speak for most of us by saying, hearing these stories strengthens my faith and confirms that Jehovah's spirit directed us here.
New ones need to hear this and I'm noticing more and more of them, almost daily now. I suspect as we get closer to the Great Cleansing (by the Laundryman) we will see more honest hearted ones exiting, or at least searching for answers outside of the org. The GB will only continue to discredit themselves as the lie deepens and they struggle to defend it.
