More about anointing...

Much more could be written about it! I mean so much more very positive things! Beautiful things! Inspiring things! There could be at least 144 000 ways Jehovah can reveal to a person (man or a woman) that they are his adoptive children! I believe it is not a matter of “choosing” or “accepting” the anointing or “changing one hope for another”! To the scripture that says about the anointed, that they are “led by the spirit” (Romans 8:14) I would add the verse about how “doing Jehovah’s will is a delight” (Psalm 40:8)…So, from the time person learns about the truth, those that Jehovah God chooses are the ones that will continue to “walk by the spirit” and also “delight” in doing Jehovah's will…and in time it will be obvious to them (upon “making sure of all things - 1 Thessalonians 5:21) that they have Jehovah’s anointing spirit…and start to take the emblems... :)

I appreciate your comments, brother. It has only recently dawned on me that Jehovah had been preparing me for a long time, back to before I even became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Like Jesus said, "no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them." Being drawn to Jesus can be a long process for some. God used the illustration of a potter who fashions a vessel for a particular use. Pottery is a real art. It takes vision for the potter to see the end product of a lump of clay and the skill to work the shapeless blob of clay by squeezing, smoothing, and molding it to finally achieve the purpose the potter had in mind. Sometimes the potter even has to smash the clay and start over again. And, of course, then comes the baking process in the firey oven to produce the final product. o_Oo_Oo_O

It occurred to me some years ago that some people either struggle with the idea of living on a paradise earth or for some, the concept had never been presented to them in an appropriately appealing way. Whether surfing in Baja or fishing in Wyoming, I can't imagine not missing that. I have always felt earthbound or tied to our planet, even before I knew who Jehovah or his Witnesses were. Most all the churches I ever attended taught the rapture and only heaven. I would hear it and dismiss it out of my mind although I never really asked myself why.
Imagine all the interesting people to meet and know if we get to be there. I should like to think that the thought of eternity on earth had been placed in my mind as a marker for when I actually learned about it from God's word.

it’s interesting you brought this up. i just read Imagining Paradise and the part the struck me the most was imagining Jehovah telling a joke and you laugh for years. That’s quite a joke- and a realistic portrayal because i think of Mitch Hedberg jokes and still laugh to myself years later.

Anyway the point is, Watchtower never presented paradise like that- at least not that i ever read or heard.

This one is amazing.

It is truly imaginative and delightful.
