When two UN nations fought each other.

I found an interesting point in history where 2 nations part of the UN went to war with each other. It was between Argentina & the United Kingdom in which was called the Falklands War. If I recall correctly, it was the first war where the infantry had the same combat rifle used on both parties. Here are some links on the conflict.

Tell me what you think!:)

I was not a witness at that time and very pre-occupied with having a family and so it probably seemed like 3 days to me. The only thing I remember is that it just seemed odd but not earth shattering.
I think it's due to the fact it was 2 nations affiliated to the UN. The idea of the UN was "peace & security". It's ironic.

Had America enforced its own Monroe Doctrine they would have defended Argentina. That was pretty much the signal that America had been taken over by British imperialists.
Thinking about it was strange since America was involved in WW1. The incident that played into it might have been due to J.P. Morgan.

Interesting from that standpoint. I am interested in seeing if anyone has info on this.

There are claims the Falkland war had to do with Nazi derivative tech/personnel and the black goo and that it's acquisition by the British is connected to the many mysterious deaths of Marconi scientists in the 80's.

Tell me what you think!
how much time have you got PJ45
Margaret Thatcher came to power just as i left school and started my electrical apprenticeship, i hated her, she destroyed the local economy when she closed the steel works ironically the iron lady closed my towns iron company the major employer in the area
I did not work in the industry but the closure plunged the area into deprevation and i became unemployed i hated her!
later in her term the falklands war occured, i believed that it was what she wanted as her popularity was waning, and it did the trick, what a turn around for her, i was devastated.
But now i am much older and i now see why she had to do what she did Britain was heavily subsidising its industrys and productivity was on the floor, the cars (automoblies) we produced were unreliable rust buckets. GB needed an economic transfusion and she set it in motion.
i now 40 years later realise how wrong i was about her
anyway the falklands war
if i remember correctly the USA stayed neutral and offered mediation, and i also remember the day that the HMS sheffield was destroyed by an exocet (french made missile),
the argentinian Pilots were extremely brave and very good pilots, they used a technique called "pecking the lobes" it was basically playing hide and seek with the british radar. Flying at low level then popping up higher to get a radar fix on the frigate then dropping again, until they got close, enough, reducing british reaction time,, to avoid "chaff" diversion and release the excocet missile
it was difficult times for me, in the uk everybody seemed to on a patriotic high and i was on the floor, . its a shame but i never knew anything about JWS at that time and that did not happen until early 90s.
so i went through a important learning part of my life without biblical knowledge, but i did believe in God because of my catholic upbringing
i do believe that God, who i now know as Jehovah was caring for me.
Not sure if any of that is relevant to the topic but the falklands war was definitely on my radar.

Nice commentary. It’s a “you were there” moment.

If my memory serves me right, Margret was friends with Augusto Pinochet. He came in after a U.S. funded coup overthrew Salvador Allende. It's crazy how our times have unfolded. Fascinating commentary on your personal experience during those times!

yes i vaguely remember her and Pinochet having a meeting of some sort. but the best meetings were with US president Ronald Reagan, he used to make me laugh, he seemed to live real life as though he was staring in one of his films. i liked him
however it was MT and RR who removed Glass stegal from the banking system and that is how the economies of the us and the uk started to boom
A bank was no longer restricted to lending money based upon its capital assets, and so cheap money became abundant
i cannot remember the ratio of capital to loans that were allowed prior to the removal of GS and what they became after removal, but it was an economic game changer which basically planted a time bomb into the financial system.
This detonated in the 2008 banking crisis but was dampened by quantative easing (printing money and giving it to the banks)
This in turn has planted a nuclear financial time bomb into the system which is about due to time out.

I remember Robert mentioning Glass Steagall being removed in one of his videos & how it may play in the mortal wound on the 7th head of the Beast. It truly shows how the plan has been set in motion. Many people think it's all crazy talk but considering all that is happening there will be no denying there were many hands pulling the strings from the dark for a long time.

Even the world is warning that the financial system is about to collapse and we see the evidence in inflation as well as the money supply.
