It states in Daniel 11:38 :
(Daniel 11:38) 38 But instead he will give glory to the god of fortresses; to a god that his fathers did not know he will give glory by means of gold and silver and precious stones and desirable things.
I looked at the context and I believe it alludes to the King of the North. The god that's mention is rather unknown in the past as stated by the scripture. Any idea who or what it could be?

Science and research brings to light what our Fathers did not know. There modern Gods are there computers, cell phone,,.ect etc.IMO They use these to gain control and are great for spreading propaganda

“But in his estate shall he honour the God of [military] forces.” The army, of which he was the intellectual leader, was his “god.” Napoleon was instrumental in both wounding and restoring Papacy. The wound was so deep that eventually, in 1870, Papacy lost all temporal power. In 1798 he struck a death blow against the pope, undercutting the authority and reverence for Papacy. On one occasion, instead of swearing by the God of heaven, by Papacy, or by France, he said, “I swear by myself.” Thus Napoleon recognized the god of forces, his army, under his control; that is, he recognized himself. Napoleon was a genius and a brilliant tactician—in fact, he was very learned on many, many subjects. Incidentally, Napoleon made the statement “An army travels on its stomach.” “A god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.” Napoleon’s strategy was to reward his generals with benefices. (Similarly the pope used to give out domains as simony.) Napoleon set his generals over various provinces. In their positions of power, they absorbed or appropriated the revenues that were available under their charge or jurisdiction. The quantity of Napoleon’s own captured loot was tremendous. He distributed the provinces in lieu of a fixed salary. Thus did he “divide the land for gain” (verse 39).

It seems these days the military industrial complex mixed in with science is become of a god of sorts. You really see it in nationalism.

"He will show no regard for the God of his fathers...? 37.Satan maybe or the triune God? "But instead he will give glory to the God of fortresses; to the God that his fathers did not know..." 38 Jehovah? Ps-37:39. Maybe?

Satan, maybe? Haha 😂😂😬🤷🏻‍♂️ He has been in the shadows in the last centuries as a mysterious figure. But now he's becoming more and more known. The elite (King of the North) worships him and they are turning its worship to something more and more and more acceptable and normal. Christianity or christendom was the religion of his forefathers, but now it's different and in the future, Satan will be the source of all his power. A god "unknown" or full of mystery until then.

No desire for women or any other god: Is the women here the same as the women in Rev14? Any other god; object of worship? Great topic!

Could it also include the false prophet? No! It is most definitely the North with power of the Devil behind him (using masculine gender)! Because we know the North has to go all the way to the end.....and it is with the help of a foreign god...Satan....! The 8TH king with it's plowshare statue is a complete opposite of Zion.

Just recently it dawned on me that a fortress is built by tradesmen like stone masons, engineers, & architects. Since the Masonic symbol is a square & compass, could it perhaps be that the god of fortresses is the Masonic Great Architect of the Universe?
Interesting…….

The foreign god in 39 is none other than old nick himself: The one they have prayed and waited for and can't wait to bow down to. 2Kings 23:5 'foreign god priests' Zep1;4 'I will wipe out the foreign god priests every vestige of Baal'
