Hi
@Jah-son, glad to hear you’re okay. I missed having you around.
I agree with most of your post, it’s no use thinking the bomb might drop any moment now cause living in fear is not living. An elder (and I guess WT in general) seem to think prophecies are best understood after they’ve occurred. And to some extent I agree that we can speculate a lot but will fully understand when it happens (not afterwards, that’s just nonsense). But to recognise prophecy being full filled, you need to know what prophecies are in the Bible. Jehovah didn’t put them in the Bible just for the heck of it, He gave them to us for a reason.
I don’t necessarily find it important to get the exact understanding of what for instance the fire from heaven will be in advance. We will see it when we see it. But, and this is a big one, I do like to prepare for the mark of the beast in advance. Knowing what it will be in hindsight is a bit too late cause that means you’re gonna die and not get a resurrection. So that that’s a biggie. We don’t know what it’s gonna be, but I’m sure if we at least stay awake and keep a bit of an eye on the current events, we might be able to recognise it. And by that we will prove our loyalty to Jehovah and prove that we didn’t spend our time in the org in vain.
I saw this bit in an article that Robert wrote as a reply to the GB update nr 10, which shocked me at the time I first read it:
It seems the Watchtower is grooming JW’s to accept the mark of the beast when the time comes. Although I have no proof, it seems fairly certain that the Watchtower has accepted money from the dark powers that have been pushing the pandemic and universal vaccination as part of the Great Reset, a euphemism for the intentional collapse of civilization and the implementation of global communism and mass depopulation. The Governing Body has used its influence to compel millions of trusting JWs to receive the experimental mRNA injections just as is being promoted by the United Nations WHO.
Like you, I try not to concentrate on living in fear of war, famine (I prep, even if it’s because prices are rising and what I buy now will only increase in price) and death. I hold on to Jehovah’s promise that He will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear. For some that is more than others. I myself don’t find myself to be such a hero, so I don’t know what I can bear. But our Father knows.
We might speculate a lot on here but I see that as iron sharpening iron. Ignoring it won’t make it go away so it’s better to talk about it as adults although there are 182 members on here with 182 different opinions. And you know what they say about opinions 😂
What I’m trying to say with a lot of words is, don’t let it get to you. I hope you’ll pop in and say hi from time to time 😊
