A few scorching days of summer is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy? That's crazy. Why would Jesus even bother with such inconsequential weather trivia? It's ridiculous.
Jesus, who lived when there was no AC, "prophesied" that Co2, part of what he himself created, photosynthesis, would be "man ruining the earth" making the earth hotter, and not a single man-made chemical would be the cause of "man ruining the earth." It's beyond absurd, it's blasphemous!

Today was weird I received a random invite on discord to a brand new server by a unitarian youtuber I'd never heard of was one of the first three or four people invited I'm in but am at a loss what to do because it's the pre existence denying faction of unitarians the so called "biblical unitarians" and in literally within the first ten post they're saying JW's christology is just as bad as trinitarians and somehow equally incompatible with the ransom. It's bizarre. Normally I wouldn't mind being on servers where that theology is dominant simply because as repulsive as I find denial of christ preexisting Justin Martyr didn't mind fellowship with a faction of Jewish Christians that were misguided that way on the condition they didn't try to impose the mosaic law on other christians but I'm not happy with the spirit there showing and if it continues much as I watch I'll leave because I'm skeptical of it being fruitful to witness there. Why the hostility everywhere to Michael/angel christology? Even half of modern Arian unitarians are almost grossed out at the notion of Jesus not being a separate being from and above Michael.
Origin: The name Michael is of Hebrew origin and means “who is like God?” or “gift from God.

"And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, to the extent that He has inherited a more excellent name than they. But regarding the Son He says, “Your throne, God, is forever and ever, And the scepter of righteousness is the scepter of His kingdom. “You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Jehovah, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your companions.” Hebrews 1:3‭-‬4‭, ‬8‭-‬9

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life."John 3:16

"For the wages of sin is death, but the gracious gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 6:23

“Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued.
Daniel 12:1

And as He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will again. And if those days had not been cut short, no life would have been saved; but for the sake of the elect those days will be cut short."Matthew 24:3‭,21‭-‬22

"All who live on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written since the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slaughtered."
Revelation 13:8

Same tribulation when Michael arise, and when Jesus returns. The bible doesn't talk of another great tribulation. Michael must be Jesus himself. Jehovah is known under different names so Jesus depending on what His mission is :Jesus, Christ, The Word, Michael, The Lamb, The Wisdom.

i would laugh if it weren’t so utterly tragic. when the time comes to activate operation “go-bags”, JWs will be most fortunate if their problems can be addressed with hand sanitizer and gloves.

They are not prepared at all for what lie ahead, are they.

QUESTION: Where are they going? With their go-bags?
That is the question. How do you prepare for the unknown? What do you put in the first aid kit? What pills or medicine should I pack? We must trust in Jehovah with our future. We don't known if we will wake up in the morning let alone what shoes to wear when the order to run is heard. It is hard for me not to prepare because in my life I haven't been tested to rely 100% on Jehovah. I pray for that faith daily to help in the decisions that are quickly coming.

A go bag or bug out bag is only for a short while. So I would start with the medication that you take on a daily basis. A First Aid kit can usually be bought in a drugstore (in Holland anyway) so just take the stuff out of the box, put in in a plastic bag, so it's lighter. You can of course carry splint and tourniquetes but my word, you can also pack your king size bed and your sofa.
Something freeze dried to eat, some water and some clean undies always comes in handy. Some matches or a lighter, a flash light, a Bible, maybe a plastic cup to drink from are all handy.

I don't see why people make such a big deal out of having a go bag. I live near a big industrial plant. The chances of something happening there are pretty big and we might have to relocate for a couple of days. This way, I don't spend precious time packing stuff cause I have a bag ready.

there is a lovely article on Watchman Post- Psalms #3, It talks about what David went through, and how his men were given food and water when they were hungry, and how that event forshadows the prophecy described below.

excerpt:

Jesus foretold that the people of the world will be judged by their treatment or neglect of his brothers. Those who give them something to eat when they are hungry and something to drink when they are thirsty will be rewarded.

Psalm 3v6

I am not afraid of the tens of thousands lined up against me on every side. Rise up, O Jehovah! Save me, O my God! For you will strike all my enemies on the jaw; you will break the teeth of the wicked. Salvation belongs to Jehovah. Your blessing is upon your people.

Psalms 5v11

But all those who take refuge in you will rejoice; They will always shout joyfully. You will block approach to them, and those loving your name will rejoice in you. For you will bless ANYONE (see that? ANYONE!!!) righteous, O Jehovah; you will surround them with approval as with a large shield.

you and your wife will be lovingly cared for through the entire denunciation, until it’s over.

I have a go bag for the approaching wildfires in my area. That’s different. I just put in what i think i need for an 8 hour road trip as i intend to head to my moms if there’s an evac notice.

you’re not alone. you have to hand these feelings off to Jehovah, almost constantly because they re-emerge.

We are under enormous stress. Sometimes i read the scriptures that say “do not panic” and i think to myself- yeah, right.

The only thing that has helped me really see the reality of those scriptures is prayer- it’s the most powerful thing you have at your desposal.

In fact there is a scripture in Rev, i can’t quote it rn but it says there is silence in heaven for a half hour as the chosen ones offer up prayers to Jehovah in our behalf and Jehovah listens to grants these prayers- and this is when he takes decisive action against the gog of magog. It’s truly fascinating and comforting too. Blessed be our God.

Also, these feelings you’re having, they pass. Like a cloud over a beautiful lake, they pass you just give it time- don’t use up your energy to resist them because they can come up and bonk you in the face- kinda like forcing a beach ball under the water in a pool, it pops up out of the water with enough force to bonk you in the face- just let them flow through you and exit. they will. (Dorothea told me that).

And you’re constantly in my prayers, jay- i don’t just pray for you, but really, with you. that is so powerful.

Jay,

God didn't promised us an easy ride if we join His cause. On the contrary we need fight to the end and also expect all the wrath of Satan. If he cannot crush us he will try to sow doubt in our mind.
“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan has demanded to sift you men like wheat; but I have prayed for you, that your faith will not fail; and you, when you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.”
Luke 22:31‭-‬32
However we are not alone in this fight.

" for He Himself has said, “I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,” so that we confidently say, “The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. "Hebrews 13:5‭-‬6

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all people. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:4‭-‬7

We keep reading these verses because the are reassuring.

"so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to hold firmly to the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, a hope both sure and reliable and one which enters within the veil,"
Hebrews 6:18‭-‬19

If things are shifting fast around us we have Jehovah and Jesus as anchor in which we always find the peace and the strength to make it to the end, claiming our victory against evil.

i’m crying too, jay. it’s just not right. we’re isolated from people- humans can’t live this way.

Please pray and cry, cry and pray. It’s the most powerful thing you have- and Jehovah hears it and he will cause you to be joyful.

Joy, ofc, is a fruit of the holy spirit, so no matter how bad it gets jay, joy is something that against it THERE IS NO LAW.

You are allowed to be joyful in spite of everything you see around you.

Laughter is so good- whenever i feel really down i watch I Love Lucy or Mitch Hedberg stand up comedy on youtube- nice clean and hilarious comedy.
