Record-Breaking Temperatures Worldwide—What Does the Bible Say?
I gotta be honest, I have been reading the Bible now for nearly a half-century and Bible prophecy has especially been the focus of my interest. I don't recall ever reading anything in the Bible regarding heatwaves or anything like that. So, naturally, I clicked on the bait just out of morbid curiosity. So,
Do heat waves fulfill Bible prophecy? the article asks. The answer is:
"Yes. Global heat waves fit events that the Bible foretold for our time. For example, Jesus prophesied that we would see “fearful sights,” or “strange and terrifying things.” (Luke 21:11; Good News Translation) Rising global temperatures have led many to fear that mankind will ruin the earth."
The WT has completely lost the plot. A few scorching days of summer is the fulfillment of Bible prophecy? That's crazy. Why would Jesus even bother with such inconsequential weather trivia? It's ridiculous.
Just wait until the hypersonic missiles streak overhead in New York or California. Just wait until mushroom clouds boil up into the stratosphere. You want to talk about fearful sights? But, when the world trembles under the unleashed power of the atom bomb don't expect JW.org to display any sort of attention-grabber like
Global Conflagration: What Does the Bible Say? Nobody would read it anyway.
