I was thinking we will just attend via Zoom once again. If they give me any push back I am going to tell them that I know for a fact the Covid vaccine is not only not safe and effective, but dangerous, so since no one in my family is vaccinated, I will not be exposing my family to a room full of hundreds of vaccine infected people! People who chose to infect themselves, no less!

Maybe I'll take it one further even, and say, "it's hard to avoid vaccinated infected people because it's not possible to know who all the infected with a vaccine are, but since I know all most if not all JW's are vaccinated infected, we will not be attending!
Thinking of this exactly myself

Is zoom an option this year? I haven't heard anything, I hope so.

Weren't they going to keep zoom as an option for the elderly, etc? I haven't heard anything yet but surely there will be at least a recording.
They will have something. Our kh is full of us older ones. I won't be at kh and other older ones won't either. Know way am I sitting in there with no decent ventilation and every other week friends are getting ill from covid at my hall.

I can't get 🤮 JUST going to dentist for me is a medicated mess. And the whole time at dentist I am 2 mini seconds from a panic attack with hygienist or dr. In my face 😔 UGH!!
YUCK!!

I avoid crowds at all costs. i am sure zoom or phone tie in will be available.

My congregation is meeting at a local hotel for the Memorial this year. I will be attending.
That sounds interesting. I’m in a dilemma. The congregation we attended in NH before Covid is not having a Memorial there. Instead we are directed to go to another congregation in a town that is extremely all Covid nonsense. I wouldn’t be surprised if the town council didn’t require masks and a vaccine. It’s near a liberal college town. We listened on JW.org last year. We don’t do Zoom and never plan on that. Any suggestions?

Fly to Hawaii and you’ll be welcome here.

The very first building that was called a “Kingdom Hall” is located in Honolulu.

There is a very interesting historical account from the year around 1820 regarding Hawaiian Chiefess Kapiolani when she was converted to Christianity by the missionaries. In the Hawaiian islands the Hawaiian language was not written and was only verbal until the missionaries came in the 19th century. So, once the Hawaiian people learned to read and write, they often read the bible. To this day the people here are both religious and superstitious. Chiefess Kapiolani learned Jehovah’s name and used it when she exposed the false god, Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of volcanoes and fire.

Here is the story:

My husband and I had our honeymoon there in 1987, and then took our teenage children there years later. Such a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful, historical account. So many things to learn!

Go to jw.org>about us>Memorial>find a Memorial. Several local locations should pop up on your screen, although you may have to enter a zip code. Get info on each location and decide which one you want to go to.

About the cards not good idea, imo. They don't care what we think especially when we are MIA. Just more ammo to demonize you especially regarding Robert's site. Not the night to do that.

Perhaps another more discreet way. There WILL BE a local needs on ....

You will be contacted in some form with what you did on this special occasion. Just my unsolicited opinions.

Best to you.
E+E, we have made the executive decision to jettison the card idea. Thank you for helping us come to that decision!

Hi @goldie and those asking if Zoom is an option to virtually attend the memorial program. We just announced will use zoom, but only for very select circumstances. So, it will not be on the invites, nor will it be publicly shared; however, if there is genuine interest in attending and due to extenuating circumstances, the zoom link can be shared. This will depend on how this plays out for each cong and what instruction their publishers get. Because our territory is far and vast, if someone from a far that speaks the lang of our cong says they wish to attend, am inclined to say, we'll share the link. So, short answer is yes, but will depend on where you live and what direction the local congs were given. 🤷‍♂️ Anyone else know more?

Just consider this, most people have been injected for something, so if person A has the same infection as person B it may be because they may have been injected with the same ingredients to cause whatever sickness they seem to have “transmitted.” That’s as much as I’m going to say about that except why is it no one ever takes the Creator of our human bodies into consideration? Think about it…
So, my response to your comment above is let’s just agree to disagree.
My entire argument went completely over your head. Everything you wrote is irrelevant to my argument. My argument is "if they think Covid 19 is so bad they have to shut the Kingdom halls down, then since vaccines are also contagious according to the same "science" they use, then the Kingdom Halls should also be shut down because of vaccines." therefore I will not expose me or my family to the vaccine.

I don't care if it makes sense...that's the point, it's not supposed to make sense!

Susan B (formerly known as Driven) and I are going to attend this year's memorial at the Kingdom Hall in person. Because we ceased attending meetings (both live and memorex) over a year ago, we know we will be getting questions as to what we are doing and where we have been. So as to not detract from the beauty of attending the memorial, we are thinking about creating some cards (like business cards) to pass out to those who ask us questions. The cards will of course have our contact info but we also want to insert a little message on the back side, whether it be a scripture or the web address to some of Robert's content, something like that.

- Any ideas?
- What are your plans for this year's memorial?
- Thank you in advance!

First…. I’m old enough to understand the “live or memorex” reference. 😁

My phone and e-mail have been blowing up lately with Memorial invites/inquiries. I have a feeling that I’ll bake (that’s a fib…. my wife will bake) some unleven bread, and we’ll stay consistent with Zoom attendance.

I‘m sorry I misunderstood Nomex.
