I found this method of containment recently. Perhaps you may know of it but I'm sure someone here would like to know!May have already been mentioned, but flour will need to be frozen for a few days before packing because of boll weevils or their eggs (the reason you don't eat raw cake batter). After that, store in air tight containers (or include the desiccant packets for food you can buy on Amazon). It can last for years that way - but otherwise flour will eventually go bad in a year to 18 months. You may consider that process for rice or even dried beans as well (they say storage can be prolonged for 25 years). Honey lasts forever and needs no special handling and has antiseptic properties.
