I guess the "Do not forsake the gathering" bothered me, maybe it's my conscience. Idk.
We just had our c.o. and he talked about joy. One of the things he said was to have joy do things for others. Send a card, call. Visit.
She sent card nice.
But what I have noticed over years is after co visit everyone goes nuts for about 2 weeks then they Go back to their
real imperfect selves.
It is nice to receive a card.
But I always find it interesting you have to tell folks to extend themselves beyond themselves to show they care.
I guess I should not measure others sincerity by what I do. I have always been a giver so much so I was warned to be careful by elders.
Also it was announced in our hall they will no longer let us know who is ill or in hosp. Something to do with privacy. Then they read some wt article. I did not write it down .
So I ask the ones in the know who is not well, etc.
Then I decide should I send thinking of you card, call etc. Something.
One sister called me and was so excited to find a small plant and card in front of her door recently. She was not home. She called later and said no one calls
or anything.
I knew how she feels. She lost hubby last year
and no one contacts her.
Anyway just sharing some stuff.
Take care.
