Has the Watchtower ever addressed the question involving that of the mark of the beast in Revelation 13, imposed on all, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave (Revelation 13:16-17)— in contrast to the mark given to the 144,000 in Revelation 7:3-8— and whether this means that the great crowd, who do not receive the mark of Revelation 7, will themselves receive the mark of the beast as described in Revelation 13, but use their ability to buy or sell to support the 144,000 anointed class, suggested by Matthew 25:40 and leading to the "after this" of Revelation 7:9-10?

The last time the Governing Body touched on the subject of the mark of the beast was more than 20 years ago in the April 1, 2004 Watchtower. The article provides basic information on what the beast is and who controls it; however, it leaves readers with the vague impression that anyone who is patriotic or supports the political system in any way, perhaps by voting in elections, has already been marked. If that were true, we have to ask: In what way are people of the world coerced into receiving the mark of the beast? How are dissenters prevented from buying or selling? Further, it says that the image causes to be killed all those who refuse to worship the image of the wild beast. What evidence is there that such a thing has ever occurred?

Another glaring flaw in the Watchtower's "explanation" is the fact that those with the mark are condemned to permanent death. Their names are not written in God's Book of Life. Since that is undeniable, it is not reasonable or scriptural to believe that anyone has already received the mark. The world is still enjoying God's favorable time of salvation. No one has been sentenced to everlasting death yet. That is why Jehovah's Witnesses are still preaching and teaching people about God's intention to destroy this wicked system and bring about a new world ruled by Christ.

The reason the Watchtower cannot adequately explain the meaning of the mark of the beast is because doing so would require repudiating 1914 and everything attached to it. For example, the symbolic wild beast represents the seven empires that go back to Egypt. That being true, were people who supported Egypt, Babylon, or Persia marked for permanent destruction? If so, that would include Joseph, Daniel, and Queen Esther, as they were officials in those empires. A key part of the 1914 fable is that the seventh head of the beast underwent the prophesied mortal wound and revived during the First World War. It doesn't seem to factor into their interpretation that the Anglo-American allies were victorious. Shouldn't we expect that the death of the leading powers of the world would be a catastrophic, world-shaking event? Not in Watchtower lore. Another piece of theocratic fiction is that the powerless League of Nations was the image of the beast and people were forced to worship it and began receiving the mark in 1922.

The introductory article in the 2004 Watchtower states the following:
Some believe that 666 is the mark of the Biblical antichrist. Others say that it signifies some form of compulsory identification, such as a tattoo or an implanted microchip with a digital code that identifies the person as a servant of the beast.

The Watchtower may be excused for dismissing the idea of compulsory identification in 2004. Not any more, though. Christians are required to stay on the watch. And anyone who is watching knows compulsory digital ID is inevitable. Not only digital ID but programmable money that can be controlled by the issuer, effectively prohibiting a person from buying or selling if they do not meet the criteria for participating in the system.

As for the great crowd, first, it should be pointed out that the so-called great crowd does not exist. It will come into existence during the tribulation. And the seventh chapter of Revelation says that they will neither hunger nor thirst, and neither will the sun beat down on them nor any scorching heat. Neither hungering or thirsting can be taken in a spiritual sense. But since they will come under God's protective tent and be shielded from the scorching heat of Satan's tyranny, it must mean that they will be miraculously provided with life's necessities during the 42 months of the eighth king's reign, otherwise known as the hour of test.

Elijah the prophet gave the word, and it did not rain for 42 months. During that time, the prophet went to Zarephath, a non-Israelite city, and a needy widow fed Elijah with her last bit of flour. As a reward, by Elijah's word, God miraculously provided her and her son with an endless supply of flour and oil throughout the drought and subsequent famine. This appears to be a portent since Elijah was in the Transfiguration and is one of the two witnesses, representing Christ's brothers in the manifestation. That is when the sheep are depicted as doing good to the brothers of Christ when they are hungry and mistreated.

Still learning and still picking up tidbits of information that continues to fill in the gaps.

If there is to be digital banking, would it really constitute the mark of the beast to accept that? If the money belongs to the person, they are entitled to access to it. In England we are entitled to free health care because it is part of the system of our taxation. Drawing our own money does not make us a slave to the government and it is not necessary to support the government either. It’s simply that paper money is no longer required. The mark must be an agreement in exchange for something.

That must demand a loyalty of some sort. It’s not a loyalty to fight for one’s own money or demand food. That’s a protest. Likewise, Jews had to be registered in Germany to obtain food, but so did we in England. That though is conforming to law and the purpose was (in England) fairness in distribution. In Germany the system was not leverage either, but inhibited services and quality foods.

The mark of the beast must surely entail something more in that it denies someone the means of life unless they professes loyalty to an higher authority to access it. An act of submission to an agreement for the preservation of life. What might this be and how can it be defined more accurately?

We have already seen how some banks have de-banked certain people whose political views did not align with the state. So, whatever we think belongs to us really doesn't. Especially will that be the case in the post-crash world. People will be desperate, and desperate people make compromises to feed themselves and their families. While there is nothing inherently evil about money, banking, or digital money, digital money can be used as a means of control. It can be programmed to work or can be turned off. To make it work as coercion will require some oath of loyalty, some pledge of allegiance that Satan knows would compromise the faith of Jehovah's people.

At the point when this gets fully implemented the sign of the son of man will have been fully manifested to all on earth resulting in the ruling power(s) taking on a war footing against Christ and his sealed brothers.
As ridiculous as that may sound it seems plausible that the powers that be will demand everyone to take a stand against this newly arrived “existential threat to the planet” perhaps framing it as the long awaited “alien invasion” of earth.
Logical response from those who realize that the wrath from the one seated upon the throne has finally come upon them as they cry out to and seek protection from the “mountains” aka a never before seen globally unified superpower to go toe to toe with the newly enthroned Christ and his earthly ambassadors.
They’ve been “predictive programming” us to this possibility for quite some time and in recent years the whole u f o thing is more and more prevalent in the news with government leaders openly speaking about them.

it certainly does appear that this controlling system of buying and selling is being created right now. digital currency AI identification federal tracking bank accounts and tracking people traveling and who live in and outside the USA. all of it is coming to pass today and they are trying to pack together and simplify all these technologies into one thing that totally locks people in and the government will have 100% control over every persons life and many sheeple are agreeing with it. i cant count how many times i heard people say oh but we need it they wanna keep us safe or they know best. it is insane!
 
Once money is controlled, they will be able to delete whatever you have with a button press. You won't be able to pay bills to include property taxes. Without that payment there is generally a period of time before the state takes your property. I've been wondering how that might figure in. I suspect by then, that things might be moving pretty fast.

Something I wanted to mention is that when the entire nation of Egypt was being bombarded by the 10 plagues, the Israelites were dwelling securely in the land of Goshen. Goshen was technically in Egypt yet exempt from the plagues. Plus Moses was the other one displayed in the transfiguration. Now thinking about it, the true chosen ones might be involved in gathering the great crowd playing the roles of Elijah & Moses. Perhaps, even leading like the apostles until they have to depart to stand before the 8th king & its monstrous citizens. I do know there will be no way the great crowd would take the mark. Time will tell.

The Bible tells us EXACTLY what the mark of the beast is, and I don't think it can even be debated if you actually understand what we understand. I'll name a couple "proofs" and I am sure there are more...first of all when we look at Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they were "compelled" to worship the "image of the beast" with the threat of being thrown into a fiery furnace, and then what was the first thing Satan used to try to get Jesus to sin?, "if you do an act of worship to me, all these things will be given to you"

...and then Revelation itself, clearly identifies what it is...Rev. 13:4 And they worshipped the dragon because it gave the authority to the wild beast, and they worshipped the wild beast with the words: “Who is like the wild beast, and who can do battle with it?” 12, ...And it makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first wild beast, whose mortal wound was healed. 15,16 ...so that the image of the wild beast should both speak and cause to be killed all those who refuse to worship the image of the wild beast. 16  It puts under compulsion all people—the small and the great, the rich and the poor, the free and the slaves—that these should be marked on their right hand or on their forehead,


If you don't worship the wild beast/the image of the beast, you're not getting the "Mark", the Mark will identify those who have engaged in this "act of worship." This is what this entire thing has been about these last 6,000 years, so of course the climax is choosing to serve God, the true God Jehovah and his son Jesus, or choosing Satan and the blue haired/purple haired freaks off into destruction.

According to the number 666 and what Revelation 13:18 says “Here is where wisdom comes in: Let the one that has intelligence calculate the number of the wild beast, for it is a man’s number; and its number is six hundred and sixty-six.”

I believe it will have something to do with A.I. What do you think?

This has to be one of the single most damning “elephant in the room” scriptures ever written for exposing WTs whole Jesus came in 1914 teaching.
And yet WT is unable to comprehend the glaring falsehood of their doctrine.
When I first heard Robert’s audio version of Jehovah is King many years ago, his explanation of this verse hit me like a thunder strike. So simple, so clear.
Jehovah acting “At that time” doesn’t translate into a hundred and twelve years and counting though WT has tried to intimate that the kings of the earth gathered together as one by forming the League of Nations to which not all Kings joined most notably the U S itself along with several others.
The WT will tell you that the nations were terrified by Jehovah supposedly by means of wimpy declarations and resolutions made at one of their early District conventions where the worlds leaders were put on notice that their allotted time for rulership was running out.
I think Jehovah can do better than that.

When I first heard Robert’s audio version of Jehovah is King many years ago, his explanation of this verse hit me like a thunder strike. So simple, so clear.
Jehovah acting “At that time” doesn’t translate into a hundred and twelve years and counting though WT has tried to intimate that the kings of the earth gathered together as one by forming the League of Nations to which not all Kings joined most notably the U S itself along with several others.
The WT will tell you that the nations were terrified by Jehovah supposedly by means of wimpy declarations and resolutions made at one of their early District conventions where the worlds leaders were put on notice that their allotted time for rulership was running out.
I think Jehovah can do better than that.

The watchtowers explanations are beyond preposterous in fact it's just down right nonsense and gives new meaning to stupidity, aside from their basic Bible doctrinal teachings I can't give them much credibility.

Zechariah13​

7 “O sword, awake against my shepherd,+

Against the man who is my companion,” declares Jehovah of armies.
“Strike the shepherd,+ and let the flock* be scattered;+

And I will turn my hand against those who are insignificant.”
8 “And in all the land,” declares Jehovah,

“Two parts in it will be cut off and perish;*

And the third part will be left remaining in it.

That's the problem with "religion." These poor simpletons claim to have been born as "one of Jehovah's Witnesses," and they have no clue who Jehovah is or what His word says. They can only whine that the Watchtower let them down. It is easy to see how these people will hand their children or parents over to be killed when it all comes down.

i think this sister is trying to cope with all the changes within the watchtower i didn't hear her bash the ORG she said organization change people change life changes and how it all seemed to happen fast.
