The best detox device is your liver. It deals with most of the toxins one is likely to meet on a day to day basis and actively searches out any systems coming into the body that need to be attacked by the immune system - part of a bodily alert system. Nobody knows quite how many functions it carries out ( more that 500 ) but one of the major jobs it’s does is to act as a filter in cleaning the blood from antigens and such like that effect the major cells such as the T cell. Its major function though is clearing out cell toxins and cancers from cellular structures that may form inside or outside of the body. It is the most efficient cleanser of the blood that one can possibly have - unequalled anywhere or by any concoction of man. And it is worth bearing in mind that most of what we consume - even the best of foods, are toxic to our system anyway - that is why we have a liver - and it deals with the metabolism of all that we consume - which is why we can enjoy toxins such as alcohol - and which the body produces anyway - a weak form of ethanol.
The best way to promote liver health is via overall fitness - including an expansive diet in moderation of all natural and given foods including meat, exercise and all natural foods - domestically prepared or free-range. The best ‘detox’ of the body is the body’s own self defence mechanisms. Fever (or temperature) is one, as it slows bacterial development, along with a good supply of white blood cells and “B” cells that make your antibodies - much the same as T cells .
It’s not detox remedies that one needs, but to eat wisely and take care of one’s mental health (if such is possible in these times) because one of the greatest battles we face is our own self. When one examines the creation of our body, we see the very hand of Jehovah in his creation of cells within our body that literally remember past diseases and attack them with immediate effect - actually measured by the body itself upon entry to the system by chemical changes that alert memory cells to their presence, within a few seconds!!
One cannot “detox” a liver. One can only eat something that does not give it more work than usual. The body cleanses itself. One might just as well suggest giving the heart a rest by not exercising. Just do not eat what damages the liver - in other words stick to a normal diet free from chemicals or non-food additives.
The body was not made to not be free from illness (i.el., alerting the individual to a problem they have encountered) but to be alert to what may make it ill and thus able to cohabit equally with other organisms that live upon what really would make us ill, but are necessary to nature for nature to survive as intended. That is where the perfection is of our creation - we walk daily within our natural enemies that provide for our existence - bacteria’s, toxins all sorts of things that Jehovah had foreseen in the construction of a flora of life forms that work in harmony with each other yet are “user friendly” though poisonous if touched or eaten by others not intended for their use. So Jehovah installed barriers within us - and them - so that we can equally provide for the variety we see about us. We manure our seedlings with dung! That should tell you all you need to know about that system!
Fasting is good for the liver. For the human body, the sabbath was provided as it fed and rested the mind and allowed the body to heal through rest - flush toxins too, built up by muscular activity. Also, the heart, mind and system benefit from rest by not having to deal with so much of the “natural” toxins built up within the body through burning calories. The best detox then for both liver and body, mind and spirit is the Ten Commandments.
