Patricia from London. 😁
With a name like Patricia , I would guess you are from County Kilburn , as we call it , or Camden . Both , like other places that the English think are part of their country are in fact parts of Ireland . I live in Cornwall , but there is a language barrier . They say "Alright Den " . I tell them I am not called Denis , they then say "Alright Ary " . I then have to tell them I am not called Harry either . There must be a few people that look like me here , and they are mistaking me for them , but not when I speak . I have only recently found out that when the Irish use the word Sallow , it means pale , or fair skin . In English it means down and miserable . No wonder not many want to speak to me .

You have the correct meaning of sallow, at least the original meaning. But the pale or fair meaning was transferred by the inference of illness - in one looking pale - to mean looking ill or by inference, miserable. The word is essentially of norther European usage, stemming from Nordic or Russian languages referring to dark or unclear - makes sense the Nordic connection - as there was quite a lot of settlement by the Nordic countries in Ireland during the middle to late AD period 500/900 AD.

Nice to get something right . When we go shopping , we write messages , what the English call a list . We then put the shopping in the press , what the English call a cupboard . A hot press is what the English call a airing cupboard . A lad around the corner thought that I was conspiring with his lass to make him feel silly , when she mentioned a hot press . The more I tried to explain , the worse it got . When I was a navvy , the companies would have a load of words we used , and what we were saying . Rather like a dictionary , but more a list of how we had massacred the English language . A greeting could be , "About ye " , or Himself , herself , or "Hows yous " .

Mick we are the most racist country of all. We just don’t tell anybody and pretend we are nice and polite. I don’t think there is a country we haven’t ravished, plundered and enslaved!
Yes! We are sons of empire; Yet they granted citizenship to all vestiges of the far empire who were now also sons and daughters of empire and because of being drafted into to WW2 and promised freedom; the real reason they got thier false freedom was because in post war Britain there was no one to man the bus service, serve as nurses, clean the offices and toilets of the gentry because we indigenous were now part of the union and above such meniality! Not me though or my parents who made existence out of making necessity and dependancy upon of our toilet cleaning and wiping arses of our anointed British betters! By the way: Princess Diana Spencer was offspring of the official trusted arse wiper of Henry eight and was given title because. I think you already know that B but for anyone else please research the Spencers! https://medium.com/lessons-from-history/groom-of-the-stool-bb96e0dfacba

May I just say?; Does any of us suffering ill health or having slipped on one of Satan's banana skins feel unworthy of employing faith because of feeling unworthy of redemption? Get over it! Employ! Employ! We are all unworthy of His love! Shame that wayward son who has taken advantage of the love and undeserved justice of our Father! Ezekiel 28:13-

I was always amazed at the term ā€œmessagesā€. In America they referred to adverts which would have more appropriately been called lies. Strange thing, language.

I used to live in Australia . "G day pommie " they would say . I would explain that I am Irish , and as such was not a Pommie , but that the Australians are . I would keep some British money , and show the same person on British coins and Australian coins . I would also say about the same "Union flag " that Australia has in the top left corner of their flag . That would be all I needed , well up until Ireland beat them at Aussie rules / Gaelic football . Just asking what the foottie score was , would clear a shopping mall .

Strange that you would write about the copper snake . I have always said that for many years many of us have been wandering in a spiritual wilderness . Also , when I read that the watchtower writes about giving food at the proper time , I myself prefer to stay in this particular wilderness . This wilderness is at least looking for good sources of food and not serving up vomit .

And with superconductor abilities. Sounds about right!!
Yes, I have long had suspicions about niobium and his magnetic resonance. I had assumed he was a top-notch study conductor as you suggest with a magnetic personality. However, they can be rather brittle - I had one break on me and pinch my finger at the same time. One thing for sure, if you’re arguing at different poles about the truth, you can get repelled from the congregation quite forcibly!

Welcome @iamshesheisme to the forum. Glad to have you here.

I’m not directly from England although I do know that I come from English descent. Does that count?

Btw, did you get your username from a line in the Beatle’s song, ā€œI Am the Walrusā€œ ?
Just wondering….
Hey there! Thanks for the welcome! I can't give the Beatles any credit as I have never even heard of that song. I might have to check it out though. 😊

Hey there! I've been thinking about the coming days and the way things are going within the organisation. There are very few critically minded brother's and sister's that I know of and I would love to be able to connect with like minded ones who love Jehovah and are awake to what is actually going on within the organisation. I feel there may be times when we are going to need each other for support in one way or another. Is there anyone here from England?
