The problem is not so much using fertiliser to grow crops, but using fertiliser to grow enough crops. Also a great deal of land is used to produce crops that would otherwise only be good enough for pasture. The problem is exacerbated by populations gathering in cities, thus causing vast areas of land to be covered that would otherwise be open to domestic cultivation. That tipping point was already evident in the 1600s in the western countries (apart from the USA), but the city Uruk in Mesopotamia circa 4000BC - one of the first recorded cities in the world, they actually used rationing to feed the population, and the farming was overseen outside of the city by - guess who…….the temple priests. In the bible we see that the same system was used in Egypt during the seven years famine. Thus even back then, it was realised that if city life was to be viable not everyone could be farmers.

The population we have today would require at least two acres of land to provide basic food for an average family. This is still possible but would not account for various needs for industry to provide basic tools such as a blacksmith and not at all possible if we wanted to maintain our present lifestyle.

But the bible points out that the basis of human life was to be agriculture at the time of creation and common sense points to the usage of natural law in nature for the provision of tools, rather than using chemicals and pollutants. I.e., fission over fusion so to speak. We do not have the technology yet.

The world in which we live is governed by critically precise laws that allow for our existence in every last detail, and it’s just as true to say that, what we do understand of these laws, is embarrassingly little. It’s barely a hundred and forty years since the first word was spoken over a wire, and just a few years since the scalpel was replaced by a laser. Who would have thought that light can cut better than a blade? But as for food, we choose to poison ourselves with chemicals and additives and fail even to bring clean water into the house. One can still get organically grown food, but it’s contaminated with chemicals from the air and from the rain. It’s a delusion. What we need is an organic liver, kidneys and gut and fortunately for us Jehovah thought of that, but it’s gradually failing. Something to do with Adam I believe, who thought he would be better off tending his own garden. ☹️

We don't need chemicals to "feed" crops, Comfrey is an amazing fertiliser and grows even quicker than the crops you feed it to. Jehovah is wonderful 😃👍

There are natural fertilisers such as the one you mention, plus many others such as bean crops that overwinter and are ploughed in during the spring. That, and rotation of crops that feed off the residue of the last years crops is the natural way to grow food. It’s absolutely a perfect arrangement that one crop feeds another by its waste products during growth, not to mention the fallow year for domestic animals to graze and add yet more nutrition. Dust to dust, ashes to ashes. Petrochemicals are not necessary in the general run of things. Anyone with a branch of a tree, a spade blade and an ox can plough a field - maybe not those concrete plains in rural America - need a nuke for that! 🤣

Exactly Barney, but nature's (Jehovah's) knowledge about all things is being deleted/censored/done away with in order to keep us sick or dying and early death. Soon it will only be injections, injections, and more injections, there's an injection for everything under the sun now.. I hear all the time from stupid people, and those not so stupid, "how lucky we are to be living in this time that we are"!! 😵‍💫🥴🫠😱 Talk about being blind..

Es decir, fisión en lugar de fusión, por así decirlo. Todavía no contamos con la tecnología necesaria.

El mundo en que vivimos se rige por leyes de una precisión milimétrica que permiten nuestra existencia hasta el último detalle, y es igualmente cierto que lo que entendemos de estas leyes es vergonzosamente poco. Apenas han pasado ciento cuarenta años desde que se pronunció la primera palabra por cable, y solo unos pocos años desde que el bisturí fue reemplazado por el láser. ¿Quién hubiera pensado que la luz puede cortar mejor que una cuchilla? Pero en cuanto a la comida, elegimos envenenarnos con químicos y aditivos, y ni siquiera nos molestamos en llevar agua potable a casa. Todavía se pueden conseguir alimentos orgánicos, pero están contaminados con químicos del aire y de la lluvia. Es un engaño. Lo que necesitamos es un hígado, riñones e intestinos orgánicos, y afortunadamente para nosotros Jehová pensó en ello, pero está fallando gradualmente. Algo que ver con Adán, creo, quien pensó que estaría mejor cuidando su propio jardín.☹️

Y si a tu excelente desarrollo le añadimos que el ser humano cada vez es más flojo y lo de cocinar alimentos frescos no le motiva, o que es más fácil freír unos palitos de merluza precocinados en ved de unas verduras salteadas dando a lo procesado un pedestal en su comodidad, anulando el producto de temporada por platanos pelados y embasados al vacío, el panorama ha rebosado lo decadente. Te imaginas? Pelar un plátano de su cascara perfecta protectora para ponerlo en una bandeja embuelta en papel film. Comodidad lo llaman! Aún no he conseguido reponerme de la imagen.

They peel and cut up a lot of fruits and veggies for the lazy ...but bananas? Smh

¡Jaja! Qué gracia, Ana 🤣. Aún no he visto plátanos pelados en las tiendas del Reino Unido, pero siempre sonrío cuando veo cosas parecidas, como champiñones laminados (¡porque son tan difíciles de cortar en casa, claro!) y queso ya rallado, ¡e incluso agua embotellada! (que es un timo total).

Peeling bananas is a highly qualified job in England now Ana, closely followed by kicking a ball into a net or hitting a ball with a bat. Those that are unable to reach that high academic standard are forced to go into politics. All my children have highly paid jobs in banana peeling and I even have one daughter who went on to study orange peeling at the university of Valencia in Spain!!

When I was a kid we had to do hop picking, apple picking, blackcurrant picking, potato picking (absolutely back breaking 🥹) and painting all sorts of little things that you'd find in a miniature train set, sheep, train guards, suitcases etc etc We had absolutely no time at all to learn how to peel bananas too!!

That’s a shame. We did O level AND A level banana peeling at school and I went up to Oxford to study for my doctorate in peeling tomatoes in varying levels of gravity. I believe there was an opening for a degree in hop picking at Cambridge. You should have applied for it.👍

La capacidad de estupidez del ser humano en estos tiempos es incalculable. Mi amiga que trabaja en un barco de lujo privado, tiene un compañero de a bordo que le cambia los canales de la televisión al dueño del barco, imagina: sube un canal más...no, mejor dos menos...🤦
