Best way to handle our JW friends and family...???

I posted this in a comment, in one of the topics here, but I have been thinking about this the last couple days and I want to share what I'm been thinking about.

Before I post I want to make this a disclaimer. I am all too aware no matter what we say, may have the exact same result, go against the GB=apostate, but what I have been thinking about is a way to challenge them without even them realizing we are challenging, "Jehovah's channel."

So, first of all, I am sure we all know, Jehovah's Witnesses have been called and labeled a cult for many years. I first heard this accusation when I was very young. So I have had many decades to think about why JW's are not a cult. So it really comes down to one thing. We follow Christ (the Bible) and not men! If we are following men, we are in fact a cult.

So a conversation with a JW on the subject would go something like this. "The reason we know we (Jehovah's Witnesses) are not a cult is we follow Jesus and the Bible, and NOT MEN! The GB has admitted and published in various Watchtower articles going back decades, the GB and by extension, the Faithful and Discreet slave, are not inspired, infallible and they are imperfect men who can and do make mistakes, in things like direction and even doctrine! As recently as he Feb 2017 Watchtower brought this out. At the end of the day we each one of us are responsible for ourselves and the GB are not masters of our faith. So we do not follow men, and we know the GB are neither sealed or "ruling as Kings and Priests at this time". So we have to make our own decisions about things like how to respond to Covid masks and vaccines, it is not up to men who do not and cannot know what Jehovah knows, even if they admit they do not know, yet imply that they do know!"

Feel free to ad lib...but keep in mind the idea is to make them agree with you without knowing that's what they are doing...so maybe leave off the last part I wrote...LOL...then again, maybe by then you've drawn them in enough to make them think about what you've said without rejecting it wholesale!

The reason I was thinking about this is I have a relative who no matter what we say agrees with us...that is no matter what we have allowed ourselves to say! We aren't stupid. In any case, they act like every argument we voiced was reasonable and had merit, that's because it did, she agreed with us, and yet got the vaccine.

In any case, I thought making them defend that they are not "in a cult" would be a good way to wake people up to the reality of what they are living.

You could also add something like, We know this is Jehovah's Organization." The Jews were to, until 70 C.E.

Also, wheres the scriptures about "boldness"...this entire garbage was based on fear! And the GB presided over a world wide brother hood of fear of "dying"...we're all dying! Like I have said many times, "we don't need a vaccine, we need God's Kingdom."

One of the things to consider is to see who they think has the final authority on matters. If they understand the truth that it's God then keep that as a reminder. If they say it's the GB then it would be good to ask where does the Bible say it's so. Sometimes rehashing certain points are a must.

The only problem is that the GB and Brothers and Sisters were careful to publicly say “It is a personal choice” but behind the scenes they were winking and saying it was wisdom to follow the lead of the GB. It was such duplicity and yet they really thought they were being granted divine protection by their obedience to the GB. They really don’t see it as following men.

I've come across this problem several times the best way to handle it is to ask them

How did the governing body and the elders and those in the congregation support those who made the prayerful decision not to receive the jab?

Did they help fill out religious exemption forms for employers or government Requirements?

( After all the governments did provide this option)

Did they help people legally who made this decision the same way that they would help a person who didn't want to receive blood?

Did they go out of the way to make them feel like they aren't antivaxers and conspiracy people?

Did they encourage people to be sensitive to their consciences when it comes to this decision, Since this is a conscience matter?

Did they remind the congregations that were not a cult. And people are allowed to make their own decisions... Did they emphasize the absolute need to respect people's personal decisions and family heads decisions

The answer to all these questions are absolutely not and they will know it

Great questions. I think questions are the best way to get people to think logically. And, this reminds me of the video updates because I think it was Heard who said about all of Jehovah’s Witnesses, we have no religious objection to vaccines. He took the authority to speak for each one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. I definitely have religious objections to the COVID jabs.

OMG...I don't know how many of you still look over the weekly WT study but I just finished choking through this weeks and it's pure propaganda regarding the FFDS and how well they followed Jesus directions regarding the Plandemic.
Check out paragraph 14 (if you can stomach it):
"Jesus provides wise direction in times of crisis. The benefits of that direction were evident when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out. While many in the world were uncertain about what course to take, Jesus made sure that we received clear guidance to keep us safe. We were encouraged to wear face coverings when out in public and to practice physical distancing. The elders were reminded to maintain regular contact with all in the congregation and to be aware of their physical and spiritual needs. (Isa. 32:1, 2) We received additional direction and encouragement by means of Governing Body updates."
And this garbage from paragraph 16:
"Some may have felt that the organization was being overly cautious with regard to the pandemic. But time and time again, it became evident that the direction we received was well-founded. (Matt. 11:19) And as we meditate on the loving way in which Jesus is leading his people, we are assured that no matter what tomorrow may bring, Jehovah and his beloved Son will be with us.—Read Hebrews 13:5, 6."

It seems to me like the GB are trying to cover their butts. Fortunately Jesus isn't as easily deceived as most of the sheep. And he's not one to be mocked. It's only a matter of time before he cleans house.

Paragraph 9 says “Our overseer (referring to Jesus) has used a small group of anointed men to provide God’s people and interested ones with spiritual “food at the proper time”.

While many in the world were uncertain about what course to take,
You mean people who didn't actually trust that the government, you know the one led by Satan, had their best interest at heart...
Jesus provides wise direction in times of crisis. The benefits of that direction were evident when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out.
So according to this propaganda Jesus provided the direction to governments, because all of this "direction" came from Satan's governments! The lies are so infuriating! How can an honest person buy this garbage??!
We were encouraged to wear face coverings when out in public and to practice physical distancing.
Which is exactly what all the "superior authorities" were saying! However, the actual scientists in this area of expertise have testified pu8blicly, that neither of this things did any thing, and in fact "face coverings" are harmful to your health especially to children! The only truthful thing that Ogre Fauci said was "that masks don't do anything", until his masters told him to reverse that!

This just reeks of desperation to me!

But time and time again, it became evident that the direction we received was well-founded.
Yeah in what way? Because there was in fact a "pandemic" and all these witnesses were dying any way, in spite of all your "well founded" precautions which in fact did nothing, because your proof you should have done what you did, is because what you feared was going to happened happened anyway!

The circular logic of the whooe thing does not surprise me, but the fact any one buys this does!

Nomex, this sounds really good. So if you happen to use this with your family or friends, let us know what their response is. I’d be curious to know. 😊

Yes, I was thinking along the same lines as Driven, that questions are an excellent way to get people to think logically. That way they come to their own conclusion. Hopefully it’ll be the right one though. The point is to get them to THINK. 😉

The brother who is our "new" "group overseer" keeps bugging me about "meeting with another brother in person or over Zoom", and he's a really nice brother whom I really like. I don't think I would want to meet with "two" brothers, I know better, but I'm not sure how long I'm going to be able to continue to ignore him. But this I think will be the approach I use if I do talk to him. The issue is, the way my personality is it goes against my nature to just keep quiet, so I have been trying to think of a way to approach the situation in a simple way, but in a way that cannot be argued with (not honestly), so they'll leave me alone.

I think it's important to keep in mind, that who they label "apostates" are people who, once they find out all the lies, they don't just leave WT, they are so disgruntled they leave the truth all together, and that gives the WT their defense against these so-called "apostates". I think they don't know what to do with us, and I am sure they know all too well about us!

Any way, it's not just my decision about talking to them, I have to consider my wife's feelings on the matter as well. And that's not something I'm at liberty to talk about right now.

That’s what Meditator and I decided to just not meet with them any longer. I’m pretty sure they would have DF’d us because it was on the table. I think that is a good choice.
