Today’s latest Governing body update Just announced by Geoffrey Jackson ,says members can now accept the four major components of blood the ban has been lifted and placed on the individual, also to donate is a conscious matter.

The ex-JW crowd is going to have a "FIELD DAY" with this update.

"The Governing Body has decided this....The Governing Body has decided that."
Starting to sound more and more "pharisaical" with every update and broadcast.

(2 Thess 2:4) . . .He stands in opposition and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he sits down in the temple of God, publicly showing himself to be a god."

Therefore, once you are "a god", I guess it gives one the authority "to decide" if it's up to an individual's conscience "to decide 'what's right and what's wrong'".

Geoffrey Jackson reasoned that one blood component may comprise a "large" percentage of the blood while another component may comprise only a "small" percentage inferring that could make a difference in what our conscience allows us to do. So, now it appears the decision is down to percentages.

Reminds us of the following scripture:
(Luke 11:42) . . .But woe to YOU Pharisees, because YOU give the tenth of the mint and the rue and of every [other] vegetable, but YOU pass by the justice and the love of God! These things YOU were under obligation to do, but those other things not to omit. . .

Sounds as if they are making legal maneuvers to insulate themselves from possible litigation by leaving it to one's conscience.

I think the Governing Body just shot themselves in the foot, especially if they think this protects the organization from any future lawsuits, but more so where Jehovahs judgement is concerned. Acts 15: 28,29

I still maintain they completely missed the point regarding blood, which was introduced the same time Jehovah gave man animals for food. I think if you mediate on it it is obvious, Jehovah was saying, "I'll give you animal meat to sustain your life, but that life is sacred and to eat meat you must take a life and the life is represented by the blood of the animal, therefore you cannot HAVE the blood, it belongs to me." The prohibition was and is directly related to the life that is taken to sustain our lives. Blood transfusions should have ALWAYS been a conscience matter since no life is taken to provide blood. Jehovah's laws have NEVER been a burden and never put our lives in jeopardy. Just like it states, Jehovah does not test someone with evil things. In every case blood is mentioned it is in regards to "eating blood." And Jehovah gave the instructions for slaughtering the animals the blood should be poured out on the ground, the same time he gave Noah animals for food. In fact I think Jesus was eluding to this when he said, "drink my blood."

And that was one of the reasons they were so offended. They knew it pertained to the loss of life. And in this case it was even more offensive, because it was the loss of a human life that it represented, and clearly that is what Jesus was referring to. He was going to give up his life, and his blood "poured out in our behalf", was a perfect reflection, of that and they would have understood what he meant. But in this instance they were told to "drink his blood."

Any way, unless we are talking about literally eating blood, blood transfusions should have always been a conscience matter because it had to do with animal's as food. Also, the priests ate the animal sacrifices but they were likewise instructed to "pour the blood on the ground." The sacrifice was in the blood, which represented the lost life, or the actual sacrifice.

The GB are on a power roll now. Just wondering what is next on the agenda. Maybe the upcoming Annual Meeting will be the forum for some more drastic changes on this roller coaster ride. Brace yourselves! ( Mr Bean quotation just FYI )

I think comparing Mr. Bean with the gb has its merits. They play around congratulating their performance as in a mirror without the slightest insight into who is watching them.

It cannot be just conscience, because Jehovah's laws are also to keep us pure and protected. Blood transfusions come with significant issues, transmission of diseases, incompatibility between blood types, general taint.

It was relatively recent in their articles about(less than 25 years) about how man could survive with 1/3rd of the blood as originally thought, and how medical advances keep increasing the survival rate. Note that exemption of blood transfusions are what likely also inspired/pushed doctors to do things otherwise - do away with blood transfusions except when is absolutely necessary. His laws by coincidence or not also seems to better humanity as well. Advances often come with constraint, not with abundance. Abundance with imperfect humans often create degeneration.

Yes, it's definitely to do with what's happening in Japan 👍

Satan and his human minions love messing around with human blood, drinking it, eating it, scaring kids then removing their blood and injecting into themselves cos they think they're gonna live longer etc etc Sorry, I could never, ever have a blood transfusion or allow my kids when they were little to have one.
Besides, the alternatives are waaaay better so there's no need anyway. Satan does his utmost to hide the alternative solutions. Why?

They couldn't care less if they've shot themselves in the foot, as long as they keep on shooting the brothers and sisters too..

Apostasy
1: The abandonment or renunciation of a religious or political belief or principle

Jackson partially quoted Genesis, where God prohibited eating the blood of animals. But Jehovah also stated: "Besides that, I will demand an accounting for your lifeblood." (9:5) God will require an accounting because life is sacred, and blood represents the life of the soul and God owns every life. This is not new light for Jehovah's Witnesses.

Since blood is sacred and God will require an accounting, how can anyone "donate" something that does not belong to them without being held accountable? As Mick said, this is apostasy. Obviously, the GB and their Watchtower board of directors and lawyers do not regard God's possessions as sacred. That is why they flip Kingdom Halls dedicated to God as if they were common real estate.

If ever there was an abdication of the truth this is it. I did not think that watchtower could appall me any more than they already have but this statement really takes the biscuit.

I must have missed something. What is happening in Japan that would have caused the GB to make this change regarding blood transfusions?
Japan recently made it law that minors requiring a blood transfusion would be given it without regard to parental beliefs. Watchtower have apposed this. I can’t think why given their latest about turn. Hypocrites that they are.

The Japanese authorities have been coming down on the Watchtower for not allowing kids to have blood. There's an actual court case going on at the moment. It started at least a year ago. I don't bother keeping the information on most things anymore cos there's far too much! If I want reminders on things, I go to Reddit and type something into the search option and always find again what I'm looking for.. 👍

I know. I am still trying to mentally process this.

Again, before I go off half-cocked with a Kingdom Bulletin, can someone with medical technology knowledge tell me whether a person can donate blood fractions without donating whole blood? Around the 13-minute mark, Jackson said Jehovah's Witnesses do not donate whole blood; then he says it is a conscience matter if a JW donates blood components. How can a person donate blood components without donating whole blood? I asked AI. It doesn't know. Maybe I didn't ask the right question. I don't know. But it sure sounds like some double talk to me.

What Geoffrey said was just to tickle the ears of the zombified brothers and sisters Robert. Just sounds good, but don't think too deeply, or you'll become an apostate 😁

I asked AI a more specific question, and apparently there is a device, a centrifuge, that can draw blood out, separate the components, and put whatever is left back into the person. So, apparently, the GB views this procedure as an extension of the person's circulatory system. It seems to me that Satan has devised a way to take what belongs to Jehovah without taking the whole thing. Just stealing a fraction. Sort of like Adam and Eve probably didn't eat the whole fruit, just a bite.

I had a quick read through of this on the who website and it seems everything is processed AFTER you've donated your whole blood 🤔

The information you found out sounds like the cell salvage machine which is great as it is like a continuation of your system. Most hospitals have them, here in the UK for sure, most congregations bought one for their local hospital 20yrs ago, cost £100,000, sometimes the hospital charity contributed too. They're for ANYONE to use, but you have to know of it's existence and then insist on the surgeon using it, because they just leave them in a corner collecting dust 🙄
