For just acknowledging the love of Christ and Jehovah I am/we are not deserving of the love returned by them both! Who are we to be gathered here in reciept of such information? May we have the undeserved privilege of returning the love given!
I think the answer to that question is that we are gathered together for what we may become, not what we are. All we have to offer is our intent, is it not? AKA - Faith.

We must continue to refuse to give up. As Jesus despised the shame that the religious leaders tried to heap on him, we must do the same to the best of our ability. We are not better and we err as much as the next person, but to continue to get up again and whole heartedly do our individual best to continue to grow in our knowledge of Jehovah and his son, to mature in our spirituality, to sharpen our christian conscience and to demonstrate courage is faith in action and shows appreciation for Jesus’ sacrifice. We should remember that we have been taught to APPLY what we learn and not make it just head knowledge. What we will become in the new system, will not happen due to our efforts but it is the reward we can accept for continuing in the christian course even if we are limping along.

The scriptures are so faith strengthening in telling us the candid failings of people of faith, such as the “sons of thunder” and Peter. Who cannot recognize something they did or said that we also might have said and done? The scriptures themselves talk about those who were secret followers of JESUS because they did not want to be expelled from the synagogue. They weren’t berated for it but it also was not showing courage. This is not the time to succumb to fear or apathy or anything that will hinder us from staying close to Jehovah and his son, while staying true to the beautiful principles they teach and demonstrate.

I think it was you Dawg who said a few weeks back "I hope God judges me on who I want to be not who I presently am" ... something like that. Your post here reminded me of that one.
