Charlie Kirk's Assassination

I also thought "Why would I want to make Satan's world a better place?" Though, some would consider that an accelerationist ideology and it might come off as tone deaf to parents who want the best for their children's future. So I reconsidered what I previously thought and perceived it in a different way, on a smaller scale. Ask yourself "Why would I want to make my home a better place?" It's really owned by the banking system and is not truly mine. This came to mind because I remember Charlie making a similar argument against someone that said "why would I care about America?" The context was allowing an accelerationist mindset by allowing open borders. With open borders it's like allowing strangers to get into your home.

Jehovah put government authorities in place so that his worshippers won't live in anarchy. Some people might welcome living in anarchy but if you're a family man and you see that your family is in danger. You want some safeguards in place.
The motivations of some politicians is they want to protect themselves and their families and their community. The motivating factor is quality of life and safety, which I can understand. For the time being we have to live in this wicked world under Satan's influence but we shouldn't allow evil to take over. The government authorities have their place to protect their citizens and we have a similar responsibility in protecting our homes and family.

We want to endure these system of things. We don't want to give up. Endurance or giving up is the most concise way I can sum this up.

To refer to brother Carl or anyone on the forum as a dipstick ,regardless of their views, is beyond the pale brother.
Good decorum should be the order of the day.
I swear some people only learn the bible inside and out just so they can flex spiritual muscles against people. With great knowledge comes great responsibility.

Yeah but a "ressurection to judgement" means, you didn't quite pay all " the wages." " and those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgement and incarceration for a thousand years, then maybe, just maybe, you'll be let out into Paradise. But, like Moses, we'll give you a nice view of Paradise from your cell while you ponder the things you did in your first life."

It's a kind of Purgatory for all the non-JW's and Jews who are ressurected. "No Paradise for YOU." We will have "Paradise Nazi's" like the Seinfeld "Soup Nazi" episode.
Haha! Thankyou for starting my day off with a laugh Nomex 😂 All that put some great pictures in my head, especially the bit about pondering on the things we did in our first life while looking at paradise from our cell 🤣

You’re right. I wasn’t referring to his “new light,” but rather the confidence in which he said it. I also felt it’s insulting to Charlie Kirk to say he didn’t have faith in Jesus… like REALLY?

I’ve been around people from most religions… JWs are the most judgmental, self righteous of them all by far. I blame the top-down, fear based WT indoctrination, not the individual. Some here still suffer from it a little bit.
Carl - I have to agree with you 100% , it's sadly true , JW'S are the most judgmental, self righteous people around Religion, based on WT indoctrination.
Knowledge, especially biblical knowledge has the same effect as wine when it goes to your head . You become dizzily exalted.
The Pharisees Bible knowledge became a source of pride rather than humility. Such Knowledge results in arrogance, which leads to an intolerant spirit, an exclusive mindset. Intolerant of everyone else.
The Pharisees claimed to know the Holy Scriptures better than anyone else. If you were not in their specific sect of Judaism, you were not a true worshipper of God, and they looked down their noses on anyone else who thought they were .
They had disdain for any other Jewish sect.
That's why Jesus said ; "What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you cross land and sea to make one convert , and then you turn that person into twice the child of hell ( Gehenna) as you are."
( Matthew 23 :15 )
Being the best at proselytizing, and thinking you have all the correct Biblical Knowledge means nothing to Jehovah , when you are proud, judgmental and self- righteous toward others not in your specific Religious sect .
And quoting Jesus words ; I never knew you ; depart from me, you who practice lawlessness " ( Matthew 7: 23 ) and applying it to other Christians , is well - seating yourself in the Judgment seat of Christ.
And that is the epitome of the very same smug self-righteous spirit of the Pharisees !

a world without Satan's influence is paradise in my book.

Paradise comes after the 1000yrs have ended and after Satan has been loosed for a little while before being hurled into the lake of fire prehaps. Curious to know whats in in your book but.

You like Carl?, I don't. I call out what looks to me like bullshit, sorry if that conflicts with your décor. Appreciate your thoughts but.

Charlie and others, didn't get the memo that Satan is the ruler of the world prehaps.

I guess what I meant by good decorum was that we wouldn’t want to give the expression “spiritual paradise” a bad name like the WT org does.
If it doesn’t exist here, let’s eat and drink for tomorrow we are to die.

Some people don't want a spiritual paradise to exist ANYWHERE Ken.. I believe this forum is our next level training. We got through the hardest test, stage one, the Watchtower org, which in all probability should make our endurance in this forum a lot easier. 😀👍
"Instead of the copper I will bring in gold, And instead of the iron I will bring in silver, Instead of the wood, copper, And instead of the stones, iron; And I will appoint peace as your overseers And righteousness as your task assigners"

So, Jesus was lying to the thief next to him?

Luke 23:43 "And he said to him: “Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise.”
No, Jesus wasn’t lying. He was telling the thief next to him about the paradise to come….Jesus was telling him that very day that in the future he would be with him ( and others no doubt) in paradise.
It would not have been that very day obviously.

Indeed Proverbs, a relative spiritual paradise.

It’s not that you didn’t quite pay all the wages. A resurrection to judgement is when those resurrected will go through the process of being judged for what they do during the thousand years. Remember, these are the unrighteous ones who come back who need to be taught about Jehovah and the son of God.

Uhhhh, we need to remember that Charlie Kirk was not a servant of Jehovah. He’s no different from someone we would’ve met in door to door or in public that we would witness to about Jesus and God’s kingdom.
So I think it’s unfair to look at him as not being a Christian…he’s one of those who had a zeal for God but not according to accurate knowledge.
Let’s be fair and not bring judgment on him or anyone who doesn’t or didn’t know about the kingdom.

I found it interesting that in all the clips of him speaking and all the people who spoke about him after he died theres nothing that explains his view on Jehovahs name or Gods Kingdom. Two basic teachings of Jesus and the Bible. Had he lived longer and learned of Jehovahs Kingdom would he have had the same zeal in speaking of both as he did in promoting America and the MAGA movement. He's considered to be a smart man and should have been able to grasp the truth, but we know intelligence has nothing to do with accepting the truth of God's word.

Political activism is 180 degrees from what Jesus was teaching namely his kingdom is not part of this world.
It’s so clear it’s inexcusable just as their believing the people of modern day Israel are Gods chosen and can do no wrong.

I was hoping Robert would chime in on the obviously false teaching about Paradise, as well as the rudeness and unChristian attitude of Seventy6. Sadly, he's been allowed to display a hostile attitude from the beginning of this CHRISTIAN forum... swearing and name calling unchallenged, while others have been booted for less.

He's teaching a false doctrine, so I simply asked if he was accusing Jesus of lying to the thief when he said he would be with him in Paradise. Instead of correcting himself, he doubled down on his hateful attitude and also kept pushing an obviously false teaching. He's saying that Paradise isn't until the end of the 1,000 years... is this true? If so, then how does the thief get to skip the Resurrection? He's implying the thief is either anointed and sealed at death, thus skipping the 2nd death, or that anyone who places their faith in Jesus skips the Resurrection and passes right into Paradise, thus skipping the 2nd death. Am I the only one seeing this???

Remember, these are the unrighteous ones who come back who need to be taught about Jehovah and the son of God.
Abraham was counted as righteous due to his faith in Jehovah. Charlie Kirk will probably be resurrected into the unrighteous camp for not having faith in Jehovah. His faith in Jesus counts the same as the thief though. Same for the GC, who place their faith in Jesus.

Don't bother Carl, it's really not worth expending your precious time and energy, that was one of the positive things about the door to door work, really helped us learn to keep our mouths shut when people said idiotic or rotten things to us, I miss that!!

@Carl, you already know how we feel. We thoroughly enjoy your comments and very much appreciate your contribution to the forum. You are a deep thinker; thus your comments sometimes lead us in a direction we may not have not even considered previously. You may not always be right, but you are quick to display humility by making any needed corrections if that, sometimes, proves to be the case.

Agree totally with open debate on complex subjects. That's how we grow in our understanding.
And, as you expressed, a differing perspective does not need to be perceived as a "challenge" if presented and answered respectfully.

True, true, and well, no. That many believe the Jewish people are God's chosen is true but I've never heard anybody say that they can do no wrong. In fact I've heard some say that " just because they are God's chosen doesn't mean we have to agree with everything they do". Now, I don't believe that the Jewish people are God's chosen anymore than you do. I'm just listening to what some of these talking head are saying, they mostly say that we are supposed to pray for the peace of Israel and that the covenant is an everlasting covenant. But modern Israel is more than Jewish( not gonna argue genetics) but there are Arabs and others that are Muslims as well as Christians living there so I don't even know how anyone can think today's Israel is anywhere close to the Israel of the Bible. I think people believe that it's an everlasting covenant because of how many time they sinned against God and then when they repented Jehovah forgave them. I suppose they think there is no limit on God's forgiveness. Anyway,
Political activism is much more obviously un-Christian, to me anyway. But what do you think about some of the topics that people have made political, ex. abortion, LGBT, etc? I find these to be biblical issues, not political. I'm still not gonna stand outside an abortion clinic and pray but when someone brings up the topic, I'll be happy to argue a biblical point of view. My thoughts 💭

That’s what I explained in the comment I posted to Nomex. Did you not get that?
