Hi Kimmy,
I agree because I am involved in the driving industry as a driving auto teacher i am registered with Department for Transport in GB . My respect for law enforcement was high but a few experences not connected with driving has lowed my estimation of The police. So your advice to not to talk is generally a good idea. The laws I am referring too in Caesars domain are all his laws most especially criminal laws. Such as theft, violent acts and abuse to children most especially sexual child abuse.
My issue with the society s policy of involvement with laws that are within Caesars domain they have encouraged elders to listen to matters relating to child abuse. If a young woman or child says ‘I’ve been abused’ the elders will get involved. Ask questions apply the 2 witness rule and nothing is done. My point is that most civil authorities have extensive experience. In U.K. we have specific police officers and social workers to care for and protect minors. The congregation elders should only care for pastoral matters , this is where elders should not get involved in any way. The minor should be seen by the appropriate authorities for their protection. Thousands of cases are before the courts all because the gb in the secret elders book have become involved With matters that are in Caesars domain. This course of action has caused major problems for elders and millions $ in payments. Jesus said ‘give Caesars things to Caesar” this interference breaches Christs command.
I am not suggesting that say a brother steals or owes $100 to another brother they go to Caesars court, they can approach the elders but they should not get involved in any way this if it did go to court would be a breach of Caesars law. If asked the elder should get them together to resolve their issue . It’s up to them to make peace the elder could offer pastoral advice on peaceful relations. Shunning is clearly covered on my website in JwQ section http://christ2coming.org
As you see this is an important issue for me .Christian regards P.
I agree with what you say but I don't see how that has to do with shunning being against Caesar's laws. But I'll check out your Web site.
