I have had deep brotherly affection for @Watchman ever since we met online over a decade ago. He has proven himself to me and many others to be a genuine lover of our Creator and lover for truth and righteousness. Never has Robert striven to acquire a following. Rather, we are all here accompanying him for one reason...because we love truth. The theme of what is expressed and taught on e-watchman very simply, "just makes sense". It's like understanding a language. When you know, you know. I know Robert you get tired here and there buddy, but always reflect that you're no different then Paul when he said "Miserable man I am". Except you have been spared the shipwreck and 80 lashes! You truly are a slave for the Lord. I left out the "good for nothing" vernacular because to all of us here you are definitely special and worthy of much Godly love. Im certain TJC hasn't made much impact on your life except for a nuisance of a zillion questions, but your existence has truly had an impact on me, my faith, my confidence and my life. And for that, I thank God above for your existence and use of your talents. The Master shall likely find you have multipled your coins a fair share upon his return. :) Thank you again for fulfilling your duty and carrying your torture stake in tow with the Christ. I love you Brother!

Btw, I had to crack a smile when my YT feed showed this video below you made 13 years ago on the trinity "Nonsense". The comments are a great crack up. Tho you look like a more cheeky, lively, youthful Robert in this video, one thing still consistently remains with you in your videos today... that characteristic voice and "I crack myself up" chuckle we are all fond of. Keep at it Brethren, you give me something to look forward to every Sunday. :)

Thanks, Jehu. I appreciate your kind words of support. And yeah, I was more "cheeky" back then. I am trying to come to terms with the fact that I am an old man now. I don't know how that even happened. 😦

Have you ever heard of a man named Noah? You're just a youngling compared to him. So keep barking ye' ole Dog! Woof!!!! 😀

Love this. There's a guy who made his own operating system for computers who became a Christian though he was an atheist. He was schizophrenic & controversial yet very intelligent about things. This quote sums up the true truth:
“An idiot admires complexity, while a genius admires simplicity.”-Terry A. Davis

@Watchman in your talk, Do You Believe in Nonsense? I don’t see how you could give it with a straight face, although I noticed you almost laughed a few times. That’s how ridiculous and laughable the Trinity teaching is.
But you brought out some outstanding points to disprove this nonsensical teaching. I admit I had to laugh a few times myself. Nevertheless, a wonderful Bible discussion to a simple truth.

Around the 7:45 mark you're talking about when Satan offered Jesus all the Kingdoms, if he did an act of worship to him. I mentioned this a few years back to a devout Catholic, and his answer, "maybe Satan didn't know who Jesus was." Talk about nonsense. I didn't tell him, "you're the one who doesn't know who Jesus is, Satan knows exactly who he is." But it just reinforces what I have been saying, like you mentioned at the beginning, people are born into these religions, and what they do is try to find in the scriptures validation for what they already believe rather than search out the scriptures to find out what the Bible actually teaches. WT does the exact same thing regarding 1914 and their interpretation of prophecy. I guess it's part of our imperfect human nature.

I was a blank slate with some ideas I inherited from people who did not read the bible as well as others without a wealth of knowledge. It makes it easier in some ways to weave through untruths when you have no innate loyalty to any one group or organization. In another denomination I encountered, a man got defensive and angry with me for questioning their teachings. I reminded him that if I found something I disagreed with I would be right back out the door and so I was. That church is defunct some 30 now.

Me too. I was raised Deist by a Freemason father and became a JW as a young adult.

BTW, that talk was excellent. Pretty much covered every aspect of why the trinity is nonsense. But somehow I don't think any trinitarian would make past the first couple of points that completely dismantle that demonic doctrine and exposure that it is indeed "nonsense!"

As for the devout Catholic you spoke to, the fact that he made that ridiculous comment about Satan not knowing who Jesus was tells you he never read the account when Jesus was tempted by the devil in the wilderness. Ugh, for one thing, Satan said to Jesus in one of the temptations “if you are a Son of God” Who does he think Jesus is? Certainly they underestimate the devil and besides, Catholics don’t study or read the Bible enough to know the truth on these matters.

I remember my mom, who was Catholic, told me years ago that they believed that Satan would be forgiven. 😳
I couldn’t believe that she believed that nonsense! They have no real knowledge about the Father, the son or their own enemy, Satan the devil.

As the saying goes, “keep your friends close and your enemies closer.”

What father would forgive some psycho killer who murdered his son?

That's actually a Talmud teaching that seeped into the CC via Jewish converts who will more than likely only there to sow division... just like today's false Jewish converts in the Messianic movement.

You know Carl, I never knew that! After I became a witness I tried witnessing to my mom on a few occasions and in one of our conversations she told me this about Satan being forgiven.
When I was younger I went to catechism, made my communion and later, confirmation. Never did we learn this teaching.

I guess this was another one of those things that religious leaders take liberties to “add to” the scriptures.

Speaking of Jewish converts, years ago the organization published a book called, Mankind’s Search for God, do you remember that book?
When reading about the Jewish faith, many of the customs and practices were similar to Catholicism. I was so surprised.

Now we’re seeing something similar with the witnesses, for example, what’s the difference between confessing our sis to a priest and going to the elders to confess? It may be some differences but overall it’s still the same.
However, the elders are much more harsh than the priests are. The elders are more like the priests were in times past during the Holy Roman Empire.

My Catholic auntie who said to me who is this Jehovah? I said 'Do you even have a bible?' "Yes I have my mother in laws" She said....being Catholic no one was allowed a bible but she got her Anglican husband to convert and it was his family bible she possessed; She got the bible and I turned to Ps83:18; The divine name was inch high in embossed colors "JEHOVAH!" Soon as she seen it she closed the bible shut!

That reminds me of an experience someone had in service when they showed the householder Jehovah’s name in Ps. 83:18. They saw it, then ripped the page out and said “it’s not there no more!”
Crazy, she didn’t know it was in 3 more places in her KJV.

The power we have undeservedly been blessed with; The receipt of the Divine Name! We truly are 'Jehovah's Witnesses.'
