e-watchman makes convention video debut

Robert, have you ever communicated with "Wally" on the JW Thoughts channel? I have tried once to make contact because I wanted to introduce your website and book to him. I have a soft spot for him because hes quite an intellectual chap with a hilarious sense of humor whose been through the ringer a bit. Do you know if he knows about you? I believe he once served as an elder for awhile.

Not TWO satans on watchman!! Something must be going on here. I have recently been battling a Nero-type urge to go and set fire to Rome and take up playing the violin and the odd thing is……the new pope could be my twin….I thought something strange was going on when I lit a barbecue in my garden and it gave off plumes of white smoke from the chimney!! I may have been been anointed…. But to what??!!👿👿👿👿

It's true what you say, we need to stay diligent. To that end I would like to draw to your attention the term channel (which is not mentioned in the Bible). It may be worth your time investigating the origin of "Channeling", I think you may find that term of interest.

Soul Sage I don't have an issue with any particular word, I was just trying to point out what channeling really means and why the GB places emphasis on them being the "channel" that's all. Just something to consider.

You’re right. It’s part of a greater mind-set, like a piece in a jigsaw puzzle. The meaning of the word ‘channel’ has morphed in meaning over the years from its beginning when it was described as the gb’s role in ‘dispensing’ the word through printing and preaching. They saw themselves at headquarters as part of the machine in witnessing, equal in task to those who took the word to the public. No longer.

I think it is unfair in some ways to describe the watchtower as a printing company. Printing was at one time the only means to reach others with a standardized message of truth that was radically different in meaning. Printing was the means by which everyone spoke the same message without distortion. One can see that without conformity in understanding, the Bible - another world wide achievement in preaching/printing since the late 1500s can be distorted - trinity but one example.

My mother-in-law was born in Brazil, and it seemed she always had some bible study from Central or South America. One time she had a study and the woman was trying to get a divorce and I think the MIL was helping translate or something. I didn't like my MIL, so I always had some little comment to make. One time when they were at the court house, my MIL caught the Bible student;s husband putting a curse on my MIL car. I told my wife, "don't worry her demon is stronger than his demon!" Her Mom was fine and zealous, I didn't really think anything like that about her, but I never missed the opportunity to make some kind of snide remark, and she earned it. Although, I never said anything to her face, I'm not that disrespectful, except for once or twice when I lost it! HAHA.

Yeh but Nomex, in this "modern" world, that word no longer has any religious connections, therefore we are all free to channel as often as we like, well, not in ALL situations obviously, but I shan't be informing you of those situations where you can NOT channel, you've got to use your Bible trained conscience to work it out yourself 👍😜 Eversince Lett's talk on Friday I've been thinking about all the things that are losing their religious connections in today's modern world and can't waaiiitt to start doing them myself as soon as we get the ok from the GB..

Wow, Nomex! A Brazilian mother in law!!!😵‍💫 And there was me thinking I had it rough. That’s only one step up from an Italian mother in law - the world’s most feared mother in law. One of those could even straighten out watchtower gb!!

She was a mixed bag. She was Lithuanian, both her parents moved to Brazil after WWI from Lithuania, and you are closer than you think. We found out before she died, for what ever reason there were a lot of Italian's so her first language was Italian. She spoke several languages. It's funny too, because my wife speaks Portuguese, and Spanish, but nobody ever expects it, because she looks 100% European. Of course that because she is. LOL.

This is an interesting concept . During covid after the faithful in Bethel were given permission to stay with friends on the outside a CO called me and asked to stay.
I said his rules would not permit that as we were unvaxed.
His reply was "Pray about it. I did and got the shot the next day. My wife was reluctant so I told her to pray too and she got the same answer and received the shot"
Naturally this terrified me, the thought of praying and getting a death sentence which led me to thinking well who then are they praying to to receive such answers???
This has bothered me since and opens a huge can of worms.

Wow, just wow! I would have had to ask, "what do you mean, she got an answer??!!" Although, it very well could mean exactly nothing, because her "answer" could just be the fact she "prayed about it", and while she was praying her GB enticed guilt kicked in, and her guilt over not obeying her gods, was too much for her.

Keep in mind this is something I have been trying to point out for a while now, the GB say the same crap, like their newest "update", "so the Governing Body has decided, after much prayer"...yet they admit it's a one way communication. This is more a guilt trip technique than anything else. A manipulation, mind control effort. What he's really saying to you, is this, "We prayed about it, and concluded after prayer to get the shot. So now that I have told you that, now you know what you SHOULD DO, because I am your 'prince' ruling over you, so why should you doubt me? You little serf! Who do you think you are thinking for yourself?"

On the other hand. I would still ask first, "what do you mean she got an answer?" LOL. Because if it's not the above, that's a whole new ball game!
 
I meant to mention this too, like the true snakes that they are, they are always trying to cover all the bases. They admit they are not "inspired or infallible" sp what is it that they are saying when they say things like..."the GB prayed about it"...they want us to subconsciously believe Jehovah is communicating with them, but if you come right out and asked, "How does Jehovah communicate with you?" I can guarantee they will give you the right answer because they know what it really is, which is the Bible! But it truly illustrates how dishonest they really are! Oh, and why? To control the rank & file, that is power! It makes me think of I think someone said once, "those who seek power should never have it." Or something like that, but it's completely true. It's another take on "power corrupts absolute power corrupts absolutely." But power is intoxicating as well, why do you think Jehovah uses all those drunkard comparisons? Mankind's tendency as imperfect humans, is to be corrupted by power, and the GB are NO exception!
