It’s normal for Iceland. The magma is so near the surface that it bubbles through often in what they call an eruption, but compared with that of Vesuvius is more like squeezing a pimple. Essentially, the island floats on the stuff so it’s no more indicative of earthquake problems than the creaking of a sail boat is, that it’s about to fall to pieces. It’s much the same principle as Yellowstone. The problem geographically is that whereas the ”ring of fire” of the tectonic plates are crushing together creating enormous pressure, and thus the violence of the eruptions, and earthquakes - Iceland is essentially being pulled apart at the other end of the plates. The island is actually growing. If you look to the “other end” of the plates, you can see far more evidence of substantial and meaningful quakes such as is happening now in Afghanistan and the Banda sea.There have been well over 70 - 100 odd quakes this year between 3-7 magnitude, but not very many of them in significant populated areas - China, Nepal and Afghanistan being the exception.

Found it interesting. Especially after a guy on the net showed by stats that earthquakes have not been increasing since 1914. It was another nail in coffin of the 1914 stuff.

That doesn't mean there won't be earthquakes during the ACTUAL coming of Christ, not that fake one the WBTS promotes.

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center initially said that based on the magnitude and location, it expected tsunami waves to hit the southern Philippines and parts of Indonesia, Palau and Malaysia. But the center later dropped its tsunami warning.

In Japan, authorities issued evacuation orders in various parts of Okinawa Prefecture, including for the entire coastal area, affecting thousands of people.

There have been 50 + aftershocks in the last five hrs all in the high 4s to mid 6s in the Philippines

BREAKING: The FAA has just issued ground stops at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City due to the 4.8 earthquake.

This is the third strongest earthquake to strike on record for the state in 280 years.
