This new Morning Worship video on JW website by Jonathan Smith made me feel really sick as I was listening to it. Am I being rebellious or is what he's saying, wrong on so many levels? I do want to listen to Jehovah, so how come I don't want to do what this brother is telling us to do?
I don't want to put the link to it here because of all the "heavy" legal stuff the Watchtower has implemented now, including fines for doing such. If you type into Google "what's new jw.org" it'll take you to a link to that page. I keep it bookmarked then I get to see everything they put on on a daily/weekly basis.

I had the same sick feeling. The speaker is quoting Watchtower literature, NOT God’s word, and emphasizing the importance of being obedient to THEM. They’re saying listening to them means our survival — something that IS NOT FOUND in scripture. They’ve replaced Jehovah and Jesus’s role as our Savior with themselves, making survival contingent on being obedient to them. Truly sickening!

It is, he's moreorless saying that covid and the lockdown was a "practice run" Isn't that EXACTLY what the so called "conspiracy theorists" in the world say?? This video absolutely cements my idea that I've had for a long time now about the org and the authorities being in cahoots with eachother, why else would courts access the "Shepherd the Flock of God" book and NOT be up in arms about the chapter about CSA and how the org does NOT regard watching CSA as actual CSA? Or how the org says depending on how often you watch it then you might need to be "strongly counselled" Honestly, that paragraph truly messed with my head when I first saw it. CSA is not just being allowed by the org it's being allowed by all and sundry. The Watchtower is leading the brothers and sisters down the road to the mark of the beast, and with speech like this video, they're going to be taking that mark believing that even though their conscience is telling them it's wrong, Jehovah will want them to go along with it.

The machinations of the Devil..

It is incredible that they are touting their COVID protocol as coming from Jehovah. It was the exact carbon copy of what came down from the WHO and the CDC. It is now a matter of public record that Anthony Fauci oversaw the development and deployment of the virus. He may qualify as the world's most prolific mass murderer. And of course, the pharmaceutical companies already had the mRNA vaccine before the pandemic began. And now the Watchtower is mentally conditioning JWs to prepare to receive more of the same instructions? What credibility do they have? My calculations put it close to zero.

I think they're being conditioned to receive WORSE than the "covid" instructions. Why can't they see that Satan is perfectly in control of the org now? Honestly, it sickens me to the stomach because of having met such lovely brothers and sisters along my way 😭

I agree. And youre 100% correct- They're grooming the rank and file to take the mark of the beast. Bottom line 👇

And there was us thinking it's going to be the worldly authorities pushing it on us. The plot thickens. I thank Jehovah everyday for leading me to this site, it helps to reassure me that I'm not CRAZY, or as the GB would say, it gives me "confirmation bias" 🙄🙄🙄

Jonathan Smith has only quoted the Watchtower and not the scriptures. He gives a nod to the scriptures with regard to Moses and obeying Moses. So, he is using Moses as a parallel to the GB. That is proof of something. In my view it is proof of their idolatry but in many other people’s mind the comparison seems correct. Think about it. There were no scriptures in the time of Moses, as he is credited with being the first bible writer. So, Jehovah always provides proof of his blessing on those he puts in charge of delivering his message. With Moses, he had miracles. Everything he spoke in the name of Jehovah came true. So, for honest people who logically look at the GB, they are the antithesis of Moses with the exception of the waters of Meribah, which is an example to not follow.

The speaker proudly states that all of us are now better prepared to obey any instructions we may receive during the GT. In other words, you have been properly and adequately "conditioned" to obey (Covid, etc.) even if the instructions appear to be strange, impractical, illogical and now even it the instructions appear "dangerous".
Conditioning: one baby step at a time. "Here a little, there a little".......Mission accomplished.

Of course, the GB, again, puts themselves in the "Seat of Moses", thereby, assuming and claiming to be on an equal footing with Moses. The Israelites followed the instructions, even though it appeared "dangerous". As we know they found themselves trapped at the Red Sea with what appeared to be no escape route. Of course, Jehovah intervened and provided the means for their escape through the divided waters of the Red Sea.

Big difference. Moses actually did receive instructions from Jehovah.
The GB, at least, for the pubic record, state they are not inspired.

Well scary video.. if I was "starting out" on my journey to learn about the Bible and Jehovah and I watched this, I would run a mile 🥴 Surely, ANY one would, wouldn't they? 🤔🤔🤔

Of course the speaker (and everyone else who touts this wicked thought process) neglects to bring up that the Israelites did not fair so well when they followed the direction of Jehovah's channel at the time by celebrating the rebranding of Jehovah by Aaron when he made for them a golden calf, a visible representation of Jehovah for the faithless people to see and touch. 3000 were quickly eliminated but the fall out proved to last into the future with Jehovah declaring that many will die in the wilderness and not see the promised land as a result of them following "the direction" of the "channel". Never any mention of that from those who insert themselves as the false leaders that they are. Despicable! Can anyone say "man of lawlessness"?

And just to embellish on your thought, Brooks, the Israelites had the audacity to proclaim their idolatrous "calf worship" to be a "Festival to Jehovah". o_O

They directly violated a command that they had agreed to obey just a few weeks earlier.
(Exodus 20:4) . . .“You must not make for yourself a carved image. . ."

The Israelites fell into a trap by attempting to intermingle the worship of Jehovah with idolatry.
Have some of the R&F fell into a similar trap by means of their "idolization" of the GB?

2 Corinthians 6:16a...."What agreement can exist between the temple of God and idols?” (BSB)

"Celebrity Pastor Culture"
When congregation members shift their faith from the core teachings of their religion to the specific group/person delivering them, it creates a dangerous dynamic for both the followers and the leaders. [1, 2, 3]

The Dynamics of the Trap:
When churchgoers idolize a religious leader, they often fall into a predictable psychological and spiritual cycle:
  • Blind Trust: Followers overlook obvious character flaws or teaching errors because they believe the leader possesses superior spiritual insights.
  • The "Touch Not My Anointed" Weapon: Leaders or protective inner circles often misuse scripture to insulate the leader from any form of criticism or accountability.
  • Enabling Misbehavior: When bad or toxic behavior is recognized, it is often excused by the congregation because "the church is growing" or "lives are being changed".
  • Vicarious Identity: Churchgoers tie their own spiritual worth, social status, and security directly to their association with the high-profile leader.

His whole talk was just one long winded, "the GB are the faithful slave just ask them." ExJWanalyzer did a really good break down of the video, I don't normally watch much if that stuff, but this one is really making the rounds at ExJW land. But there are a couple of things he pointed out, which we are all aware of, but I wanted to point out a couple of things. The whole point of me saying in the first place "they are the faithful slave just ask them", is when you actually analyze what they say and what they teach regarding them being "Jehovah's channel" and if you ever allow yourselves to ask yourself, "well what does that mean , given the fact they themselves admit they are neither "inspired or infallible." So they admit they are not inspired. Well, what does "inspired" actually mean? Well, we knbow what they are referring to in this sense, but think about what the word actually means.

Inspired:
Core Definitions
  • Stimulated to Action: Being moved by an external influence (like an amazing piece of art, a courageous person, or an idea) to accomplish or create something.

So, which is it, they are inspired or not? Because when Combover McSplain, said, "Some may ask what do they know? Wrong question, what does Jehovah know?" Clearly indicating they are getting direction from Jehovah, which indeed would mean they ARE INSPIRED!!! Calling themselves "Jehovah's Channel" clearly indicating that Jehovah communicated with them, so again I ask, which is it are they inspired or not? Because if they are NOT inspired then we do NOT owe them allegiance let alone obedience. Obedience BTW, that we ONLY owe to Jehovah!

But here's the part that has me a little worried, in particular for my brothers who are still in, not to mention all the brothers and sisters, I think what has happened, and this is regarding the "law of free will" which Alice Bailey talked about the well known occultist, (or little know, depending on your level of understanding), but I think they are telling everyone "with ears to listen" who they really are! They cannot be un-inspired" and yet at the same time be "Jehovah's Channel" because it would then be a one way channel, in other words, the exact same thing we all have, God's word the Bible! And in even more "other words", no different than everyone else who has the exact same one way communication!!!!!

It also underscores the point of why we need to "test out if the words are inspired." Which is funny because I just a little while ago listened again to RK's podcast on the Mark of the Beast, one of the more recent ones on the subject, and he brings out that very point!!! It was the perfect counter to all this BTW, if anyone wants to listen to it. it was one of those I felt Jehovah had directed me to listen to, it was just what i needed to hear! I had just talked to Melinda earlier in the day about some of the exact same things covered in that talk.

Oh and Robert, seemed to me the cat wanted to hear the message too! ;) It was a nice moment, and I am glad he chimed in...LOL! "Jones" was it? haha...Animals, one of the best evidences that we have a creator! Especially our pets!

But I think this is just another demonstration that Jehovah is forcing them to reveal who they really are! Why would anyone listen to them, when they themselves admit they are NOT inspired therefore Jehovah is NOT communicating with them. "Feelings" do NOT count! Unless of course that is the source of your "inspiration." Which brings me to another point. When they discuss organizational matters with decisions in mind, they discuss it, then pray about it, then make their decision. So think about what they are really telling us. Either, what ever they decide is indeed nothing more than the whims of men, or the "inspiration" is indeed coming from somewhere, and if they admit, even deny it comes from Jehovah, then who prey tell, is "inspiring" them????

Finally think about this, nothing in this discussion is permitted among JW's! In other words do NOT take the Bible's advice and "make sure of all things", rather simply take them at their word, that they are from Jehovah and obey them...and I am pretty sure we have the context at least for many, for the verse about "didn't we perform many powerful works in your name, and expel demons in your name"...are they NOT already doing this very thing with their claims that their WHO, UN inspired, (oh I think we are getting closer and closer to they source for inspiration), their UN inspired "instructions" were instructions from Jehovah??!!

History is repeating, these GB are nothing more than the Pharisees reincarnated, would the Pharisees have acted any different? Well, I think it's safe to say the advice the Pharisees gave would have seemed dangerous to Jesus disciples, to remain in Jerusalem after the Roman's withdrew! That's the kind of "advice" you can expect from WT and the GB!

Neither the ex JW crowd nor the JWs get it. Although Jesus spoke plainly about it, no one seems to grasp that Christ's coming as a thief in the night has one objective, and that is to call his slaves to account. I don't know why that is so difficult to understand. Maybe it is because the Watchtower has never clearly spelled it out.

This comment reminds me of the saying something to the effect "the plain truth" or "the simple truth." The truth is simple, it is not complicated. It is the lie that is complicated. Jesus told us to stay awake to stay "on the watch"...OK the "watch" for what? Well Christ return. Pretty simple huh? Wait, not so fast. in WT land it's not quite as simple as that. But of course they can "answer that."

Well, if Jesus returned in 1914 what exactly are we keeping on the watch for?" Well. "Christ only began reigning in heaven." I thought he begins reigning in the "midst of his enemies", how could that be possible if Satan and the demons have been cast out?" Well, he's reigning in heaven but he's "reigning" over WT, he's the "head of the Christian congregation"...

So we are staying on the watch for what exactly? (BTW, this is the answer to why a lot of JW's don't know the difference between the GT and Armageddon, they have no idea what they are "keeping on the watch for.") For that matter neither does any one else, have any idea what they are keeping on the watch for....oh wait I know one thing they're keeping on the watch for...their fantasy that the next shoe to drop is the destruction of religion. But I'm sure with their
strange, impractical, illogical and now even it the instructions appear "dangerous".
WT will make sure the R&F stay in the dark as long as possible!

I checked out the video Verbs and to paraphrase it is saying "Will we follow the Slave's direction even if it is not supported by scripture and appears to be going beyond it? Do we trust the Slave's words as if they are God's?"

Would Jehovah allow the Governing Body and Bethel family to take a vaccine if it was harmful? We need to stay in the land of the living!!!! If you don't follow our advice on Covid you could die.

Last time I checked I am still living although I'm starting to look a little bit crusty as the failed "This (1914)generation that will not pass away" passes the 112 year old mark. I raced out of High School at 15 with the Brothers telling me it barely has 5 years to go...10 years at most.

I'm not against having an Organized structure to achieve a purpose. I am happy to yield to leadership to get the job done. I'm just not happy when mere man makes proclamations not found in the Word of Jehovah and passes those words off as Divine. Get back in your lane lads and grow up.

Heb 5:14 "But solid food is for mature people, whose minds are trained by practice to distinguish good from evil."

Gal 2:5 "But we did not give in to them for a moment, so that the truth of the gospel might always remain with you. "

1Jn 2:21 "I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because lies don't come from truth"

1Jn 4:1 "Dear friends, stop believing every spirit. Instead, test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. "

1Co 4:6 "Brothers, I have applied all this to Apollos and myself for your benefit, so that you may learn from us not to go beyond what the Scriptures say"

Edit....wonky line spacing by the program.

I don't know why that is so difficult to understand. Maybe it is because the Watchtower has never clearly spelled it out.
I was thinking about an aspect of this just the other day. Why did Jesus warn us to "stay awake" when Jehovah could see into the future and knew that JW's would be expecting 1914? Which led me to thinking about the night of Jesus arrest when his disciples kept falling asleep. In the case of the apostles however, as Jesus said "the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak", so they did not have bad intentions, but I think I know exactly why they were asleep and it's the exact same reason the R&F are asleep. Could it be because of this..."be kind to yourself Lord, this will not be your fate at all."

And I was thinking, it was NOT just Peter who felt that way, and I can imagine them off talking to one another privately and saying to one another, "what is he talking about, 'he's not gonna be with us'. He's the promised Messiah, Jehovah wouldn't allow him to die!" "Jehovah wouldn't allow it." Where have we heard that one? And why is Jesus "coming exactly as a thief" well, because "the Master is delaying" in other words, "Jehovah wouldn't allow his Organization to be in the dark they couldn't possibly be wrong, (or lying) about 1914!"

But I imagine that's why they were asleep, nothing to worry about, "Jehovah wouldn't allow it." They already "knew" what was going on. And perhaps it was exactly why they needed to be corrected, "beaten with few strokes", why "Peter denied Christ before a cock crowed", but Peter was truly repentant beginning with weeping bitterly, after his betrayal. They needed that "fire" to be truly refined for what they were going to have to face themselves in their futures.

"didn't we perform many powerful works in your name, and expel demons in your name"...are they NOT already doing this very thing with their claims that their WHO, UN inspired, (oh I think we are getting closer and closer to they source for inspiration), their UN inspired "instructions" were instructions from Jehovah??!!
I was kind of eluding to this with this comment, but can you imagine what they would tell Jesus if confronted about Covid, "But Jesus, did we not warn the brothers about the dangers of Covid in your name?" And Jesus says, "You didn't get that from us! In fact the truth is, the brothers were asking the right question, 'what do you know?'"

Addressing the video with a witness by telephone.
This is Christine she phones witnesses and questions the witnesses/ elders on many of the topics we discuss here. We have spoken on the phone many times...very knowledgeable. I do like her videos although I do not agree with her on some doctrines.. But definitely an interesting conversation.

What a lovely brother hope he sticks close to Jehovah in the upcoming tribulation and not rely on Bethel.
