Preaching is a strong word, though. I passed by them in my truck and turned around to park just to be sure I saw what I thought I saw. They were on the side of the road in the city downtown. I found a parking space in the plaza. Then I made my way back down the street to greet them. There were 4 older ladies standing in front of a sign talking amongst themselves. It looked like they were in their own little world.
But I walked up on them anyway and said "Hey!" They looked more confused than pleased someone was talking to them. It was kinda weird. I think they said, "Hey," back to me, then they mentioned something about covid because I made the comment that I hadn't seen the JWs in years. They explained covid then one of them handed me a flyer for an online convention. There was no witnessing involved, really. They just kinda handed me a piece of paper and told me to go there. But to be fair I did tell them I was in a hurry to get back to work. I was on my lunch. So maybe if I had been more free they would have said more than 5 or 6 words.
