Jehovah's Witnesses have no choice but to ignore "spiritual truths." Ignoring spiritual truths is a doctrinal cornerstone of the Watchtower. Of course, I am referring to the truth concerning the second coming of Jesus Christ, which the Watchtower has turned into a non-event. Hasn't Jesus already returned? Supposedly, Jesus arrived in 1914, but he is coming again. Anyone who dares to question the untenable doctrine of an ongoing invisible parousia is subject to judicial censure and punishment. The teaching that Jesus became King in 1914 is considered sacrosanct. This is the work of God, that you exercise faith in the one whom he sent.—John 6:29.
Exercising faith in Jesus is needed in order to “have everlasting life.” (John 3:16-18, 36; 17:3) Many Jews did not accept Jesus’ teaching about a new “work of God.” They asked him: “What are you performing as a sign, so that we may see it and believe you?” (John 6:30) They mentioned that their ancestors in Moses’ day had received manna, which could be likened to bread. (Neh. 9:15; Ps. 78:24, 25) Clearly, their minds were still centered on being satisfied with literal bread. They even failed to press Jesus for clarification when he next spoke of “the true bread from heaven,” which was like life-giving manna from heaven. (John 6:32) They were so focused on their physical needs that they ignored the spiritual truths that Jesus was trying to share with them. w24.12 5-6 ¶10-11
The work of God is that we exercise faith in the one whom he sent, and that applies especially to Jesus' second coming. Think about it, those Jews who ignored spiritual truths and looked to Jesus simply for the food he miraculously provided lost out on the opportunity to be part of the heavenly Kingdom. They could have been anointed when the holy spirit was poured out. They will, however, receive an earthly resurrection. That is not the case with those who do not put faith in Christ the second time he appears. Mankind will then be judged, and the majority of people will be condemned.
In keeping with the 1914 phantasm, the Watchtower makes the nonsensical claim that mankind was put under compulsion to obey the League of Nations, and somehow—no one knows how or can offer any sensible explanation—hundreds of millions of people have already been condemned to permanent death since 1922 for having thought the League was a good idea. Those who claim to speak for Jehovah cannot explain why God's righteous judgment is so arbitrary. No one ever asks such questions. No one has ever even asked for evidence of how the League of Nations or the United Nations has coerced mankind into worshipping the image of the beast, or how the image has come alive and spoken, and has prevented those who refuse the mark from buying or selling. Apparently, it is a mystery. In reality, it is a myth.
This summer, I am undertaking a campaign to distribute the 2026 Update of Jehovah Has Become King along with the Second Coming brochure. I am delivering 100 copies per month (five per day on weekdays) for the next three months. If you would like to help me, please purchase a copy and gift it to your local Kingdom Hall. If you know or can inquire and find the mailing address of a circuit overseer, please send it to me via private message or email: watchmanspost@gmail.com
