Going beyond what is written...beards!

That's me! Totally burned out with life. Not interested in doing anything. Just tired
Goldie I totally understand. I am feeling the same totally tired out and it is not all because of the shoots I took or my heart issues.

I have reached my bottom line so to speak regarding nonsense. I can't handle crazy anymore and I don't have to so I WONT. Hubby is gone and I have NO JW relatives alive. I am SO grateful for Robert's site.

It is just me now. Thank goodness I have had good relationship with non jw family and friends I have had since childhood.

I zoom into meetings if I feel like it, and when they say something totally off the rails I click off. My nerves are totally shot. So I am stepping away to protect the sanity I have left 😂. Stepping away meaning I do what I can when I can. I am protecting my remaining good sense.

I Often read :

ISA 40:29-31 and can't wait for these times.

He gives power to the tired one and full might to those lacking strength.

Boys will tire out and grow weary and young men will stumble and fall,

But those hoping in Jehovah will regain power. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary; They will walk and not tire out.

Galatians 6:9

So let us not give up in doing what is fine, for in due time we will reap if we do not tire out.

So Goldie we will keep holding on to Jehovah and his son even when we feel like we are dragging our whole body while crawling our knees.

Much love 😍 to you and yours Goldie

My brother and I had a quick word about beards today and we both agreed that if you still have one of those middle of puberty looking beards in your 20s or 30s that you should probably just shave. I know that might sound cold but those sparse beards that never fill in make me feel ill to see. My brother had full red facial hair at 15. My brother grew a thicker beard than most 30 year olds. Mine took a few years longer but by the time I was in boot camp I was told to shave twice a day.

What?! Watchtower have had “new light” on beard growth?! Jehovah leaves no stone unturned when it comes to detail. We can put our trust in his channel of our governing body.
I have to tell you, I have not heard of this new light about beard's. In any Cong I've been in (4) it has always been known beard's were not acceptable.

I dont like facial hair on a man, blahh but I agree. If a man is going to grow a beard make sure it's a full beard not this patchy grossness on your face 👀

There, I said it 🤷🏼‍♀️

Here is a picture of me when I was in the congregation with a full beard.

By the way, I don't mean to offend. I was just having some fun at your expense. Those of you who were blessed with less hair than the rest of us who wish we were less hairy. My toes cry out from a jungle of hirsuteness and confusion. Seriously, who needed hair on their toes? God loves hair so he made it. Ladies, think twice before grabbing that razor. Not to be indecent but maybe, God knows what he's doing. If in fact Jehovah creates something, doesn't it feel odd to be contrary to that? I won't say any more but we live in a world that has been twisted away from what our Creator had designed. Doesn't that make you even more angry against Satan? We live in a world in which Jehovah has accepted some losses. At which point do we pull the chord and stop the merry go round? Are we not responsible for the evil that happens on Earth? It's a turning point where we realize that only God can save us but at the least, we had ought to be displaying or complaining about the wickedness on Earth and showing ourselves to be disrupted by such ways.
Tomorrow I will preach to those more wicked than myself and I will do so thankfully. I say thanks that there is someone left that I can preach to.
Once the preaching work is done, I suppose I will have to find something else to do with my time.
Those who hear my preaching now, wish that I would find a hobby that much sooner. Let them wrestle with their souls. You who are reading this are preachers and I say that because you took the time to read to the end. You preach out of love and conscience. Don't stop me now.
Someone in your day needs to hear the words of God. There is no greater task than bearing the word of God. Walk with it resting on your shoulders. You can't even feel it, yet there it is. If I have worked a day I haven't felt a load from our God which compared to that which I have paid for with my arthritis from the world. Oddly enough, when I preach ad hoc, I feel no pain. It's almost as if God administers pain reliever whilst I give my time to him. That sounds a bit nutty until you've experienced it.
When they come for us, they will come with swords. Sure, let them come. They don't know God.

You look great. Love the color. 😂
My wife does my hair styling. We converted a second hand jumbo-jet engine into a hair dryer. It’s a bit pricey on the electric but gives an excellent blow-dry. She did my face-lift too and it only cost me $9.50c. (She’s a veterinary technician).

It amazes me how when people mass together how they copy each other. At work they are all influenced having tattoos. Nothing against them, but they seem to follow each others pattern of behaviour, instead of thinking what it would look like when they get older. The majority of them now roll their own cigarettes. Follow the trend. I'm glad I'm getting older and more comfortable in what I wear and my beliefs. Just dont like that my body is starting to ache. You can understand why they want Unity at the Kingdom Hall, it's easy to keep them in check.

Just so I've said it, I was just having a laugh about other guy's facial hair. I really don't care. I work with a dude who really needs to stop pretending and just shave it off but it's his face not mine. I think he had too many acne scars and it prevents him from growing a full beard. As for me, I could use less hair, not more. When I lived in Korea, they called me wunzungi man. It means monkey. I didn't mind. I am a redhead from my father's side (when I had hair on my head). I am thankful that his genes were dominant. My brother was not as fortunate. He is bigger than I am but inherited our mother's side of the family. British/German. It is like night and day with us. If I walk into a bar, guys start telling Irish jokes. Most of them don't know that I wrote the punch line. I have been speaking a lot about preaching for the last few weeks. Expect it to spill over into every thread and topic. Our time is short and I am having some fun, which for me means chatting with all of you. You are my people and I yours.

Bueno, Lady Blue, si todos me vieran, dirían ¡QUÉ! ¡ESPERAR! Llevo un estilo de pelo corto muy muy muy corto. SOLO UNAS POCAS hermanas hacen comentarios y yo digo
POR QUÉ ESTÁS EN MI NEGOCIO. En serio
.
Not one elder etc. has said one single word about my almost bald head long dresses, boots or flat shoes and earrings. But I betcha they are like
Lord have mercy! No problems when I went door to door EVER.

😂 I don't like hair. I go to barber every two or three weeks

Forgot to say when husband was alive he had no problem with my appearance. He dressed up. I dressed down whateva 😂

Oh well.
I am from Argentina, and my problem with the organization begins precisely with this issue. I started studying in 2013, I was baptized in 2014, and in 2016 I started wearing a beard. They immediately took away functions of the service such as passing microphones, public reading, giving speeches, no longer conducting the exits to the territory, etc. It was like a strong censorship. But what finally convinced me of his authoritarianism was in a meeting we had for this reason. 3 elders appeared in front of me with Bibles and watchtowers, for my part I presented myself with my Bible. They cited the example of Paul and consciences and did their monologue, and when I had my turn, I refuted such a monologue because there is nothing in the scriptures that prohibits a neat grooming with a beard except that it can for a specific cause of someone weak stumbling. which in this case was not such, there is also a yearbook from the 40's where shaving began on a whim of Rutherford when a friend of Russell's surname "Balzereit" asked Rutherford to buy a certain object to preach the good news and Rutherford accepted this suggestion/request but with one condition: That they shave their beards for fear that they would imitate Russell, the reason was valid and coherent, but at this time it is no longer necessary because nobody wears a beard to imitate Russell. After this they limited themselves to responding: "Look, we are not interested in what you say, we make the decisions here whether you like it or not", and they did so with many more cases in other situations, they have even told another brother: "Yes You don't like the decision, there you have the exit door" and from that day that brother did not attend anymore, and neither did part of his family.

These situations, and also the same dictatorial spirit in that they recommend having a good personal study, but when you discover contradictions and want to talk about them they won't let you, led me to conclude not to attend anymore, and since I found out about this site Robert back in 2019 I found a refined truth and got an answer to many things that came to my mind and made me anxious to know them, and the monotonous and boring watchtowers could not satisfy or answer. Today I may be at fault for not regularly attending meetings or preaching from house to house, but I am convinced by various sensations that I have had in recent times, that Jehovah is preparing us for something stronger, to endure more complicated situations to come. I will return when the terror of the system opens the eyes of any remnant who wants to listen, now it is a waste of time and energy.

You are correct Paul - The Watchtower is a very authoritarian high control group , the same thing has happened to many men over the years when wearing even the shortest & neatest beard, it happened to me as well . ( It's really hard to believe that this still goes on after all these years).

But it only goes to prove that they don't operate as a true Christian congregation , I really don't believe they understand Christianity at all, if they did some men- whether elders , ministerial servants, even governing body members would be able to wear a neat beard if they liked . But sadly- instead , they think Unity means Uniformity with the same dictatorial spirit much more like a Cult or North Korea instead of true Christianity . And that is why many will continue to leave the Watchtower, Because nobody wants to live in North Korea or be in a Cult .
