Oh, a computer that learns eh? Whutcha gonna do with that? These people are desperate to prove that they can duplicate intelligent life. This is what God meant when he said "in our image". I am not against inventing something new and useful. It's one of the reasons Jehovah gave us the capabilities which we have.
Try as they will, they will never make a computer brain that can compete with the human mind. Oh but someone will say what about Deep Blue or whatever it's called. Supercomputer. It's not a brain. Not even close. I am quite certain it can perform Chinese Algebra thirty time faster than I ever will but it's still chained to programming. We've got AI! Yeah that's great. Turn off the software and how smart is it then?
Our brains are not software or programming based. We can learn by mere observation. We can also learn how to learn more. That isn't actually what AI does. The capability to store more has to be given it and, you need storage space for that.
How much can the human brain hold? Is there a limit? I say nay.
I am not trying to trash the higher learning that people have invested in learning how the human mind works but, they still don't really understand how it works. Prove me wrong.

Just remember GIGO: Garbage in, garbage out. That applies to computers as to everything else, including AI.

Quantum computers aren't good enough yet. I doubt this world will ever see practical QC. Maybe in the new world, assuming we even continue to develop that kind of tech. I don't see it as inherently evil in and of itself, but if this world creates QCs how could it not be evil? Speaking of AI art, though, I recently saw a guy putting in bible verses to see what it would generate. Pretty interesting stuff.

My mother in law was an expert at artificial intelligence. She had absolutely no genuine intelligence at all so there was very little choice for her other than the artificial kind, based mainly on television advertisements and what elders told her at the hall.
