That's why I've always avoided management positions in life. I'd rather just be an Indian, less responsibility.
I missed your comment before... I have held supervisory positions for over 30 years, and it gets difficult to continue when you are responsible for others. I like to think I did right by the people who were working under me, I always endeavored to be fair. Invariably there would come a time when the people above me would be unreasonable and unfair and I had to move on to the next job. Now, "I'd rather just be an Indian" because I have seen under the hood of the entities wielding power.

Everything I have done in life leads me to the conclusion: Fear the true god and keep his commandments, for that is the whole obligation of man. I hold the hope that Christ will cover my transgressions.

I want to just go and study and associate because I love Jehovah. The problem is I have a low tolerance for BS, especially from those who have a position of authority.
This sounds so much like myself. Thank you for the introduction, I loved reading your experience. It sounds like you have a lot in common with many of us here. I'm so glad you found the forum and I really look forward to the mutual encouragement, and hopefully very little BS. 😉

Thank you MuleJule. Watchman's writing and the comments throughout have been a gift of clarity. I can't tell you how many questions I had, (and continue to have) that I have been able to answer after reading his book. I finished the book and immediately started reading it again. :)
