You misunderstood what I meant. Of course a name is only a name unless you understood the reason or the person behind it. That’s what the text means.The power behind God's name is what it represents. Not the sounds used to carry it. When we pray in Jesus name, for example, there is nothing magical about the name Jesus. Praying in Jesus name speaks to what that name represents. It calls back to Christ, what he did, and how it made salvation for us possible. It's much more than just the name. It's a lot like saying "stop in the name of the law." We know there is nothing in the word "law" that has the power but is in what the law represents.
We are told not to touch unclean things and why is that? Will let you answer that.
As much as I could, I avoid places that are tainted in spiritism, demonism or occultism. But unless Jehovah wants or wills you there to preach, then you have His protection just like when Paul preaches to the nations to the people who dabble in idolatry, in spiritism etc.
The fact you do not understood what the text means you do not know how God reacts when His Name is called.
