How much do you love the Christ?

Well, I do hope enough, more than life itself. But I'm always full of self doubt when it comes to faith. I guess I'll have to wait and see if I'm worthy.
Doubts can prevent or limit our faith. It shapes our mindset to not do things we can do! I have been there also Sunshower. It’s one of the reasons that hold me to be baptized back then. There are many “what ifs”. But I hope just like me, that you may have a more positive outlook. Because Satan can use our negative thoughts to weaken our faith. Peace be to you.

I am a glass half full type of gall, but you never know what will happen. I do want to stay realistic but I am sincere when I say I do love Christ.

Thank you for your pep talk, it's always good to get one 😊

Remember @ Sunshower, no one is worthy. It is by grace, a gift from God, by reason of our faith in Jesus' sacrifice, that we are saved. Imo, from what I glean from scripture, recognizing this fact makes us love Jesus and Jehovah and that, in turn, causes us to want to do the things that are pleasing to them. Praying for your peace sister.

As I’ve read the gospels about Jesus through the years I wanted him to become real to me otherwise how could you really build your faith in him. I just didn’t want to say I believe…I wanted to have real, true faith.

To tell you the truth,I would’ve loved to have met Jesus face to face back then when he was on earth. But even now we can put ourselves back to that period of time by meditating on the events taking place then….I imagine I would’ve been very much like Mary, Martha’s sister, who sat down at Jesus’ feet and kept listening to what he was saying. Just reading how Jesus interacted with all sorts of people, I knew that I would’ve followed him back then just as I want to continue to do today.

At Jesus’ baptism “a voice from the heavens said: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved.”
So, my hope is to continue to listen to Jesus, who speaks what Jehovah directs him to say.

Also, I began to realize that more and more as time went on.…There’s nothing in the scriptures that say we‘re to follow men (even if they make the claim that they represent Jehovah) We continue to follow the example Jesus set out for us in the scriptures and “hear” and “listen“ to his words about how the prophecies he uttered would be fulfilled as well as his command to us to preach the good news.

As time went on it became more evident to me that what Jesus was saying and what we were learning from WT was becoming more different.…especially did I take note after the pandemic started. I would keep reading Jesus words in Matthew and Luke about the last days and it occurred to me that his words meant much more than what I remembered being taught.

I could really see for the first time the truthfulness of Jesus words about concerning the end of this system of things…who would be the real betrayers, and the ones being stumbled. I tried to share these things with my believing family about what Jesus said and relate it to what was happening around us but it seemed to go over their head…to them, his words were irrelevant, and they said Jehovah would never allow the GB to become unfaithful so close to the end. Unbelievable! I wanted to cry!

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean for this to be so long but I just wanted to say all of this to say that I know without a doubt if Jesus were here today the organization would probably have him arrested. They would also probably be the foremost persecutors of him. So we definitely know what we are to expect as we get closer to the end especially from jw family and friends.

Jesus, the Christ is more real to me now than ever. How much do I love the Christ?
It’s an indescribable amount of love. I guess it’s just as someone else said earlier, I love the Christ more than life itself!
Jesus taught me about what real love is.

And as I join you in your remarks dear sister. Yes, you have placed importance on a feeling that we must always have with the energy of Faith (and therefore the vibrations that go with it!) Especially towards our Savior who will certainly come. We can also see that things are moving a lot through the news and that the wickedness is increasing ... this is my opinion and I am also satisfied to have reliable information from dissident sites), at least on which we can rely to know what is happening on the other side of the world. AND what touched me in your feelings is the end which is so beautiful; yes I join you towards Jesus and His Father; with love !!!

"And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms on account of My name, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life."
Matthew 19:29

“Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and whoever does not take up his cross and follow after me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. Rewards. “Whoever receives you receives me, and whoever receives me receives the one who sent me."
Matthew 10:37‭-‬40

"Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and will then repay every person according to his deeds."
Matthew 16:24‭-‬27

"The one who has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will reveal Myself to him.” Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will follow My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our dwelling with him. The one who does not love Me does not follow My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine, but the Father’s who sent Me."
John 14:21‭, ‬23‭-‬24

"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."
Galatians 2:20

What Bible translation do you use, if you don’t mind me asking? Cause “cross“ and “crucified“ is not mentioned in the one I use.
