@no waySuffering definitely makes us stronger, more resolved. Dig our heels in the ground as it were.
It's all how we respond to the good and bad in our lives that defines us. Since giving my life to Jehovah, I blame all the bad on Satan, and give Jehovah credit for the good. I know there's always Ecclesiastes 9:11 to consider "...unexpected events..." So Satan's probably like, "Dude, I didn't do ... to you! It was just an unexpected event." To that I reply, "We wouldn't have unexpected events if you hadn't crossed Jehovah in the first place! So everything bad in the world leads directly back to you!"Suffering definitely makes us stronger, more resolved. Dig our heels in the ground as it were.
@PJ54It's part of the reason why Jesus said stumbling is inevitable. Needless to say, woe to those that cause it.
Towards both. Though it leans more into your question.
