Is life Hell for a reason?

Is LIFE HELL for a reason? 🤔 Hmmm, I had to think about this for a reason…and answer YES!

Why suffering can promote strength and health….true, but how much can we suffer before it can become unhealthy and affects your health in a negative way?

I guess there’s no definitive answer. It pretty much depends on the person who’s suffering right?

Suffering definitely makes us stronger, more resolved. Dig our heels in the ground as it were.
@no way

You’re right…suffering can and has made me stronger, more resolved in times past. But sometimes LIFE can take some unexpected turns so as a result you hurt deeply and feel worthless.

I ask; why do people you care about and thought they cared about you want to hurt you? Even when everything seems to be fine?

I really would like to know.

It's all how we respond to the good and bad in our lives that defines us. Since giving my life to Jehovah, I blame all the bad on Satan, and give Jehovah credit for the good. I know there's always Ecclesiastes 9:11 to consider "...unexpected events..." So Satan's probably like, "Dude, I didn't do ... to you! It was just an unexpected event." To that I reply, "We wouldn't have unexpected events if you hadn't crossed Jehovah in the first place! So everything bad in the world leads directly back to you!"

Thanks Solla, I needed that video at this point of my life.

It explains lots of what we see around us, doesn't it? People today really are trying to escape their suffering through drugs, alcohol and prescription drugs. They believe they shouldn't ever suffer and they become stunted "relief" addicts. They won't actually look into the Bible to see why things have gone so wrong. That's the "opiate of the people", they say, while on opiates. How Ironic. They won't turn to Jah to see that he will provide a solution and their suffering won't last forever. TBH though, when you're in pain you tend to lash out...and many lash out at God and then refuse to believe in him. I speak from experience.

There is an interesting side point to this. I've always wondered why, after 1000 years of paradise, anyone would turn against God and his kingdom. (Rev 20:7,8) Many will be born during those years and won't know the refining fire of suffering at all. As the video points out, they will skip the benefits of suffering. Will this cause them to be soft, cry babies and more susceptible to Satan's wiles? Will they adopt "the religion of smug ease"?

I believe this will occur because people will go from not having any sinful urges to suddenly being tempted. I'll use my dad as an example. His sin was fornication... he loved women. In Paradise I'll work with him to learn the Truth, and it will hopefully be easy since he won't be tempted to be with women who aren't his wife. But once Satan is allowed to tempt him, he could all of a sudden look at all the beautiful women and be tempted to sleep with them. Maybe after 1,000 year of being with the same woman, if he is allowed to marry at all, Satan will trick him via long dormant intrusive thoughts, and he'll give in to the urge to sleep around? Only those who are girded in the Truth will be able to overcome this temptation.

Good retort Carl and it makes more sense than my speculation.
