Made it to my new home

Finally made it to Vermont. Took me almost 2 years to get here. It's past midnight. I'm gonna have a nice glass of cheap wine that somebody left in the fridge. Thank you, mystery person. I'm on my way, everybody. Probably gonna get a temp job for a bit until I decide what I want to do. Thinking about using my CDL for the first time in over a decade. Might need a refresher course, though. Unfortunately I can't do that for at least another couple months. No money for that right now. But at least I'm on my own again. It feels good. Thank you, Jehovah for getting me this far.

i LOVE the way your kitchen is. I did the same thing in one of my homes. total exposure, ripped out all the original cabinets, put shelving up. Non cluttered with clear glass plates, cups and bowls look terrific as well as masonry jars with coffee, flour etc etc. a real genuine homey look.

Te deseamos lo mejor!! Mi familia llevamos años con mudanzas por trabajo. Nunca sabemos si será la última. Pero nos encantan los inicios!!!! Un gusto saludarte!!!

Thanks, everybody. New starts are always rough. But Jehovah got me this far I know he ain't about to leave me now.
Howdy JR. As someone who has led a Gypsy lifestyle one of the things I've had to learn is not to make any definite evaluation on the the suitability of your new Digs until at very least 6 months or 12 months if possible.

This is advice I have received from JW missionaries as well. Even if the place is ideal for you it can take at least 6 months to feel at home as we as humans have a natural acclimatization period.

My nephew married a Yankee chic and moved her back to Sydney. She cried her eyes for the first 12 months and wanted to go home. She eventually grew to like it but it was a process.

King Solomon's advice is very Sage in this situation. Keep looking forward and celebrate the things in front of you rather than long for the things behind.

Ecc 7:10 Say not, “Why were the former days better than these?” For it is not from wisdom that you ask this.

Ecc 6:9 Better is the seeing of the eyes than the wandering of the desire; this also is vanity and a striving after wind.

All the best mate. Hope it all goes well.

PS....you started with the Cheap Wine first? As a seasoned veteran I have to caution you on this approach.

Good wine first......paint stripper second. 👍😊

Joh 2:10 And said to him, Every man first puts out his best wine and when all have had enough he puts out what is not so good; but you have kept the good wine till now.
