I was listening to Galatians this morning, and on the 3rd listen a question came to my mind. Paul was inspired to say we don't need to circumcise our sons or ourselves to be right with Jehovah. So, I wondered... when did the practice start in Christendom, and who started it? Is it considered Judaizing?

Google says the practice started in the late 19th century, so it wasn't about preventing cervical cancer... so again, who started it and why?

I'm always looking for a "conspiracy," even when none are to be found. Looks like this was purely a medical decision:

"The first medical doctor to advocate for the adoption of circumcision was the eminent English physician, Jonathan Hutchinson. In 1855, he published a study in which he compared the rate of contraction of venereal disease amongst the gentile and Jewish population of London."

Hello brother! This topic is very interesting. I recently researched and wrote an article about circumcision that I take the opportunity to share. I translated it with GOOGLE, please excuse the mistakes. I hope it is useful. I do not wish to debate... Greetings and blessings!

Great article! It really is an eye opener. Excellent use of the Bible to prove your point.

Excuse me if I’m being naive but only boys get circumcised. How could it prevent them from getting cervical cancer? Men don’t have a cervix. Google is stupid and probably a bunch of woke people posting that.

Didn't you hear that men can get pregnant now? 😂🤣😂🤣

Actually, there is a link between genital warts and cervix cancer... and circumcision reduces the risk for genital warts.

It's kind of a weird tradition to be honest. I've heard countless BS reasons for it. It's cleaner! Oh yeah, they have this new thing called bathing. Works like a charm. God just wanted to separate his people at the time. It doesn't really mean anything. Not anymore.

There’s a difference between genital warts and a cervix Carl. I know you must know that.
In answer to your question, NO! I haven’t heard that men can get pregnant now…I try not to listen to or hear lies.

I’m going to have to get Barnaby to have a long talk with you about the birds and the bees. 😂🤣😂

I thought that genital warts were caused by HPV ( which supposedly does increase the chances of cervical cancer) which is an STD. I never heard that circumcision reduced the risk of giving it to the female partner.

It doesn't. The best way to prevent genital warts is to avoid sleeping with the homeless women of Vermont under bridges.

Oohhh! So Carl meant that if the man isn’t circumcised and has genital warts and has sex with a female can give her cervical cancer. Why didn’t you explain that important detail @Carl?
Some of us, like myself, are a little slow when it comes to understanding those important details.

The chances of getting warts is decreased if you’re circumcised.

I think it's a personal decision for health issues or whatever. But it should not be imposed. The current jews do very disturbing things when they practice this. 💀On the other hand, Christendom has done a lot of stupid and nonsensical stuff, starting by adopting the Trinity. 🤦🏻‍♂️
Not to mention the cruelty of crushing the testis of many children in the past. :(
