Mastercard and Visa aim to implement biometric payment systems, requiring only a hand or face, by 2030. Could this align with Revelation 13?

This below article states,

"Ultimately, the removal of card numbers might pale against the removal of cards altogether. The Mastercard Biometric Checkout Program removes the need for retail customers to bring a physical card altogether, rely on biometrics more fully, with consumers paying for things just with their face, or palm payments, for example."

Essentially, the article is suggesting that the elimination of traditional card numbers may be a precursor to the complete phasing out of physical payment cards. The Mastercard Biometric Checkout Program exemplifies this shift by allowing consumers to rely solely on biometric authentication, such as facial recognition or palm scans for transactions, eliminating the need for physical cards altogether.

This however, raises an important question:

Could the growing adoption of biometric payment systems by companies like Mastercard and Visa be linked to the passage in Revelation 13:16-17, which describes a mark on the right hand or forehead as a prerequisite for economic participation?
"It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name." -Revelation 13:16-17

Given these developments, no doubt, the increasing reliance on biometric verification aligns with broader global initiatives, such as the UN's 2030 Agenda and its recent "Pact for the Future," particularly the Global Digital Compact.

It should also now, of course, be public knowledge that the United Nations is currently actively promoting a digital ID system integrated with banking and mobile payment platforms to facilitate financial access and participation in the global economy. Additionally, the UN's efforts resembles that of the World Economic Forum, which has championed the use of biometrics(such as fingerprints and facial recognition) for secure identification.

One article, states:

"The United Nations is advocating for the implementation of a digital ID system with banking and mobile payment platforms to enhance access to financial services and government services globally. This system aims to provide convenient access to a wide range of financial services, including bank accounts, payments, and remittances, irrespective of location, while promoting participation in the global economy.

The UN’s proposal promotes global digital cooperation and sustainable development goals. By connecting digital IDs with bank or mobile money accounts, social protection coverage can be effectively delivered to eligible beneficiaries.

The proposal also aligns with the World Economic Forum’s efforts in biometrics, such as fingerprints or facial features, for accurate and secure identification.

Despite technological advancements, the UN acknowledges the importance of addressing wealth inequality and ensuring equal access to the digital revolution. The UN aims to enhance financial inclusion and promote digital transactions by facilitating access."

Nevertheless, all of this should raise questions and concerns about privacy, control, and potential restrictions on economic freedom. Question is, however. . .

Could this indeed be paving the way for the Wild Beast's globalized system, described in Revelation 13? And will their system be set up, before 2030?

No doubt about it; everything is going digital. We are already there. But the system must collapse first to get to where Revelation foretells. Then, when humanity is sufficiently terrorized, the beast will arise from the abyss as the savior.

A lot of people say that 2030 will be very important for the elite. So, yes, that can be a possibility.

Adding to your comment Robert is that when the collapse occurs, mankind sees the sign of the son of man in the heavens and all will know that Gods judgement is at hand.
You'd think a normal person would conclude after a near extinction level event, which the great tribulation will be, that something of divine origin is unfolding. Is arriving at that mental conclusion in itself the sign of the son of man appearing in heaven?
That would probably be the case for many right hearted persons but for harder hearts (think pharaoh) perhaps some supernatural celestial event/s would have to occur to provide evidence. The window for salvation would be nearing its closure and this sign would hopefully get good hearted ones onboard before its closure.
Predictably many, rather than submit to that Divine authority will cry out to the mountains “hide us from the one seated on the throne” and they will double down on their mistaken claim of ownership of earth and all that’s in it to the extent of forcing everyone still alive to acknowledge their illegitimate claim of earth ownership probably through a sworn oath of allegiance to the new world government which could be easily implemented and enforced into whatever instrument for participating in the economy would happen to be at that time.
Having already “seen” the sign of the son of man in the heavens, everyone will know exactly what their signing on to (receive the mark of the beast) which makes such a decision inexcusable and worthy of eternal cutting off.
And for any halfwits, who somehow fail to recognize the significance of the sign of the son of man appearing in the heavens, the sealed brothers of Jesus will no doubt unmistakably drive the point home.
But at that point (after Jesus brothers are sealed) it would be too late for repentance. The condemned however, will fully understand the reasons for their
sentence .
This is just my opinion as to how things will play out.
Take it with some salt.

That's pretty much exactly how I see things playing out as well.

I'd be surprised if we make it all the way to 2030. Of course, I didn't think we'd make it to 2025 either.
2030 & 2033&1/2

Plays a milestone in human history

2030 begins the third day of Jesus baptism ?

2033.6 begins the third day of his death?

On the third day he was raised up 🤔

Like it or not, there is some significance to this.

You're right, and Robert himself unknowingly teaches this.

(Except, there is evidence that Jesus actually died in 30CE. So, the resurrection of the anointed would occur in 2030.)

What evidence? Where? ...please don't cite some gematria nonsense or are you simply jesting?

I don't know what it is, but there has always been that element among JW's that just don't seem to understand the "nobody" in "nobody knows the day or hour, not even the son." I remember on New Years Eve in 1974, my Mom telling me Armageddon was coming next year. It's been one long year...

The scripture says no one knows the day or hour… it doesn’t say year 😉

Even better!!
It's gets even better.

There is another example of this "third day" mentioned in bible prophecy. In the account of King Hezekiah, in 2 Kings 20:1-8, the account mentions that King Hezekiah became "sick and was at the point of death." When he is later informed by Isaiah that he will soon die and that he will not recover, Hezekiah had begun praying to Jehovah, asking for his mercy. Jehovah, after hearing Hezekiah's prayer, sends the prophet Isaiah to tell him:

I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you. On the *third day* you will go up to the house of Jehovah.”

Of course, Jehovah being a merciful God had not only decided to heal Hezekiah, but had also gave him an additional 15 years of life. Then, Jehovah further promised him that he will save him and Jerusalem from the Assyrians and to protect the city "for his own name" and because of his promise to David. Now, as should be obvious, this account is also an antitype, which points to a future fulfillment in our modern time. It pictures a future event involving the remaining anointed ones of the 144,000, during the upcoming Great Tribulation.

In this modern fulfillment, Hezekiah must represent the surviving anointed ones on Earth who will face severe trials or will "become sick" - at the point of death, when God’s people are attacked and severely perscuted by the symbolic “Assyrian,” the Eighth King. Furthermore, Jehovah’s healing of Hezekiah foreshadows the healing, restoration and resurrection of the anointed ones. Just as Hezekiah rose and went to "the house of Jehovah" on the third day, so too will the anointed be healed(resurrected) and go up to the house of Jehovah “on the third day,” as spoken of in Hosea 6:2.

He will revive us after two days; on the third day he will raise us up so that we may live before him.” -Hosea 6:2

This resurrection marks their entrance into the heavenly Jerusalem, Jehovah’s “house,” at the beginning of Christ’s millennial reign, which is symbolized by the “third day.” Also, just as Jehovah protected Jerusalem for his name and for David’s sake, Jehovah God will also protect the heavenly “city” or anointed ones and of course “David his servant” in this regard, represents Jesus Christ, who leads God’s people and carries out Jehovah's purpose.

That sounds like a trinitarian argument when they know they have lost the debate! Or the the Bible says "flesh and blood cannot inherit God's Kingdom", but they say "flesh and bone can." Because that makes perfect sense. In heaven they need arms legs eyes etc, but not blood.

Jesus had also stated that "no one knows the day and hour," shortly after verse 29, which had already concluded:

"Immediately AFTER OF THE TRIBULATION of those days."

I was hoping not to make it to 1975 - I was hoping not to make it to 1964 either. I was none too keen on 1960 for that matter, and very disappointed at 1956. Now I think of it, 1953 was a bit of an upset too, but it was 1945, May the 8th that was the real let down - that resulted in my sister being born - she’s been shunning me ever since! 🤣🤣

So if your sister was born in 1945 and you bore witness to her being born that would mean you're well in your '80s. Sorry sometimes I'm just very analytically inquisitive.

The phrase "80 if he's mighty" likely refers to Psalm 90:10, which states "The days of our years are seventy, or eighty if we are strong; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for they quickly pass, and we fly away".

Here's a more detailed explanation:

  • Psalm 90:10:
This verse from the Psalms discusses the brevity of human life, stating that the average lifespan is about 70 years, but some may live to 80 years if they are strong.
  • "If he's mighty":
The phrase "if he's mighty" is a paraphrase of the phrase "or eighty if we are strong" in the verse.
  • "Mighty" as Strength:
The word "mighty" in this context can be interpreted as strength, health, or vigor, suggesting that those who are strong may live longer.
  • The Futility of Life:
The verse also emphasizes the transience of life and the fact that even a longer lifespan is ultimately filled with trouble and sorrow.
  • Bible Hub:
Bible Hub is a website that provides access to various Bible translations and resources, including commentaries and studies on Psalm 90:10.
