Here is a song “hot off the press”. Its a bit brash and heavy on the guitar. Guitar by Slash and voice by Chris Stapleton. I enjoyed it and had to laugh at the lyrics. Don Cornelius of Soul Train would call it “funkadelic”. I apologize in advance for the graphics. They need Paul’s help with their graphics.

Oh Well lyrics

Can't help about the shape I'm in
I can't sing, I ain't pretty, and my legs are thin
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Oh well

Now when I talked to God I knew he'd understand
He said, "Stick by me, and I'll be your guiding hand"
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

Oh well

Now when I talked to God I knew he'd understand
He said, "Stick by me, and I'll be your guiding hand"
But don't ask me what I think of you
I might not give the answer that you want me to

This song was on the first surf video my older brother and I ever bought together. Watched it over and over. Later they had to re-release the surf movie because they didn't get permission for this song and the rest of the songs. When my brother died I wasn't able to get that movie, whgich was on VHS, but later I found it on eBay on DVD. I bought it popped it i, and low and behold I got the one with the origianl musci...not sure how they pulled it off, but I have it and love that movie to this day.
Here's the video without the copyright music....he even says in the description that the original music is copyrighted.

Mine is WAY BETTER!

Here's the intro with the original music...brings back the most awesome and wonderful memories...

Oil piers, south of Santa Barbara has the best south swell breaks....
I agree that the oil piers just south of Rincon can be epic, however, most of Santa Barbara is blocked by the Channel Islands on southerly swells. I think you meant to say north swells. You have to go many miles north of Goleta to Bixby Ranch and surf Cojo to get unblocked south swells that just get past the Channel Islands. But the winter northerly swells are all-time in and around Santa Barbara at spots such as El Capitan, Campus Point, The Harbor, Hammonds Reef, Rincon and the oil piers just to name a very few. Have you ever seen spots on "The Ranch"?

No, we usually hit the south swells I liked Rincon oil piers but I grew up on Silver strand beach in Port Hueneme, in the water every day there. Above Santa Barbara was more difficult , and too far..We went skinny dipping south of Mugu Rock. Leo Cabrillo.
