Music With a Message (Positive please)

Yeah, that is the first time I got AI to do a male-female duet on a part marked for chorus. I have tried different prompts and commands on other Psalms with no results, but this one worked. AI doesn't always give you want you want. But sometimes it does.
Your persistence has paid off. Excellent attention grabber! And the male female harmonics raised the hairs!

In the future, prompt engineering will be a thing. It's a thing already, but I predict it will become a profession at some point. The funny thing about AI is the way you construct a prompt plays a big role in the results. Here lately I've been working a lot with Anthropic. As far as coding goes, it's one of the best out there. I am a bit concerned however that new programmers are relying on it too much. I don't think it's going to replace programmers. Just like music production can't just be AI. It needs a thinking mind involved. Someone who doesn't know the scriptures would fail to engineer the right prompt to generate the right kind of track. Same with programming.

I have prompted it several times to sing as a choir, but it didn't obey my command. I will try again on an appropriate Psalm.

Sometimes these AI models are good at broader concepts than specific ones. I once tried to get GPT to create a picture of my truck. It's a Toyota Tacoma, 4cyl, standard cab. But it kept creating pictures of extended cabs. It just couldn't comprehend what I wanted. Similarly, there was an occasion at work where I was injured on the tracks. I was on the outside of the track nipping up one of the ties so someone could spike the plate to the tie properly.

As I was putting my weight on the nipping spoon, it slipped out from under the tie, sending me crashing backwards onto the corner of a railroad timber. After recovering from the pain, I tried to get AI to create an image of this later that night because I thought it would be cool to show what happened to me on social media. Well, AI screwed that image up royally. For one, it kept drawing me inside the track, even though I explicitly stated I was outside the gauge. I tried explaining it as many ways as I could think of. It didn't get it. Also, the concept of a nipping spoon appeared to be entirely lost in translation. It had be falling on my butt inside the track holding a regular spoon for some reason. Didn't even come close to illustrating what happened to me.

You have to use the language of the listener - you can call a spade a spade, but you can’t call a nipping spoon a nipping spoon, as the picture shows🤣🤣🤣. I love reading your “Stories from the track side”. I think it would do well on YouTube and might earn you a bit of extra cash. You just need a camera strapped to your head. Some of the most popular YouTube channels are on drain cleaning or bread making. Fixing railways would be popular - especially if you are accident prone!!!

Huh... interesting. I never considered turning tales from the railroad into a video series. Youtube has plenty of railroad channels, but to my knowledge most of those are about train crews. We interact a lot with train crews. I just work as a track man. Any time you see a movie or a TV show about the railroad it always centers around the conductor or the engineer. Us track guys never get noticed. Maybe I'll look into making that happen. I could always resurrect my old youtube channel.

Have you tried asking chatgpt to write the prompt for you?

Some weeks ago, I reworked the lyrics of the 43rd Pslam to rhyme and I started plucking around on the guitar again to get some callouses on my fingertips. My voice is nearly shot, but I have been trying to sing again. Singing in the shower, in the car and taking walks (before it got cold),.....
So cool that you're a guitar-guy - keep it up! What are your interests? What guitar do you mainly play? I've been a guitar nerd since my yoof (started with Classical) but only in the past 5 years or so have returned to it in an attempt at more significant gains. YouTube has a seemingly endless well of information and instruction along that line and I follow such channels as: Tim Miller, Labyrinth of Limitations, Marbinmusic, Tom Quayle, Derryl Gabel, etc. My main axe is a Strandberg (bengal-burst) Boden but am currently having a custom "dream" guitar built (just in time for the Trib :p). I look forward to hopefully being found worthy of continuing my progress in the new system as I need a couple more lifetimes to get where I want to be!

I have a Fender Strat and several acoustics. Not really very dedicated to playing though. I have other hobbies and interests. ;)

Song inspired by Malachi chapter 3
INTRO
*He comes.*
*Like a refiner's fire...*
*Like a washerman's lye..."*
VERSE 1
*"I send my messenger,*
*making the way smooth before me.*
*Suddenly, the Lord comes to His temple,*
*the one you say you seek...*
*Who can endure His coming?*
*Who can resist the Refiner?"*
PRE-CHORUS
*For He will judge with sacred fire,*
*purify the silver and the gold.*
*The sons of Levi for pure offerings,*
*until they please Jehovah!*
CHORUS
*He comes with an everlasting covenant!*
*His eyes do not pass over evil.*
*Can a man rob the God of heaven?*
*Bring tithes... or the devourer He will come!*
VERSE 2
*"But those who fear Jehovah*
*speak truth among themselves.*
*A book of remembrance He wrote*
*for those who love His name...*
*They will be jewels on the day of judgment,*
*the Lord claims them today!*
*He draws His line between the righteous and the wicked,*
*for He knows those who are faithful in love."*
BRIDGE
*"Test me... Open the floodgates!*
*I will pour out endless blessing.*
*I will rebuke the devourer,*
*and the world will see...*
*How happy it is to serve Him thus!"*
CLOSING CHORUS
*He comes with an everlasting covenant!*
*His eyes do not pass over evil.*
*The faithful shine like stars,*
*for Jehovah... never changes!*

Thank you Julio and all others who post music. I really enjoy all the different types of music! It is always a highlight of my day. I don’t speak spanish, but I sure do love the good music even in spanish and having the English translation to follow along is wonderful.
