So I ran across this just a little while ago, and I just started reading the "Introduction" and decided immediately this should be posted here. It sounds a lot like what Robert has been doing. Here's the first paragraph....
INTRODUCTION
This book is not an attack on Jehovah’s Witnesses. On the contrary! My
beloved religion is the religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses. And I have invested
my whole soul in this religion for 60 years. However, the book represents
a strong correction of those who have been members of the Governing
Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the 21st century.

He's a professor in Norway: from his about page- Rolf J. Furuli has been lecturer in Semitic languages, and for more than a decade he has taught courses in Akkadian, Aramaic, Ethiopic, Hebrew, Phoenician, Syriac, and Ugaritic.
