i feel much the same way but if it helps you i think not mans time table but Jehovah's time and it all happens that much faster kind of like a blink of an eye. humans are very linear but Jehovah is infinite and timeless.

I’m convinced that the sudden destruction is the destruction of human governments, the manmade financial system and everything dependent on these. And thus the Great Tribulation.
The context appears to indicate that you are correct. What is of intrigue is how and by what means would they be destroyed? When Babylon was destroyed, the writing was certainly on the wall, but the destruction was physical. The collapse of the system would leave governments impotent to act and without authority. If there is a void then, it will by all means be filled. It depends then whether the destruction of government is fiscal or literal - the army would still be under jurisdiction and it depends upon whether they would be loyal. The only known substitute in governmental terms for its failure is war but then, if all governments are impotent, then who against will they war? But then that does not account for two billion dead. The system by which all governments will accept central governance can only be bloody given the evidence thus far, and that does not include the world populace which will be ransacking the place for food. And each of those groups will have its own militia. It is the way of mankind. What will be all the more remarkable will be the preservation of Jehovah’s people and the rise of Satan to confront Jehovah. It’s going to get bloody somewhere along the line.
