Who would have thought Greenland might be the trigger for the call?

Yeah I've noticed that too. Securing Greenland is absolutely considered by the ruling class a matter of national security.

Therefore, if they do secure it, I can very much see them talking peace and security a lot, even though they're technically already talking a lot about peace and security because of the conflicts going on right now, emphasizing the need for peace and security.

So like I've said before, I don't know if it's going to be a "declaration of peace and security" or just increased awareness about the need for peace and security, hence them saying peace and security.

This is a good point. There is no indication from the scripture that "when they are saying Peace and Security" that it necessarily has to be in the form of a massive declaration on a world wide basis. " Saying" can be interpreted in different ways, and even the actual state of affairs may not be one of P&S in the sense of it being an established situation. So "increased awareness" and much talk about P&S could also be the harbinger for sudden destruction as WW3 has to start sometime after the fulfillment of that statement. So is it possible that world wide peace is established and then war starts out? Perhaps only the semblance of P&S is what will be talked about or it seems to be what is wanted by world leaders, while behind the scenes it is all quite different.

I always doubted it would be some kind of establishment of peace and security but more heightened expectations for either the prospect of peace and security or even the opposite. In other words, things are so bad that our leaders are talking about peace and security because things are bad. It's like if houses keep getting robbed in my neighborhood so I go to a town meeting to talk about safety in my neighborhood. It's not the same thing as declaring that my neighborhood is safe. Watchtowers assumption that it is a declaration of peace and security but I'm saying that is not necessarily the case. It might be but it might be something else.
 
I have always thought that WWIII would be the GT because there can be no WWIII without nuclear confrontation. However, Robert seems to think WWIII will break out and then escalate into the GT. That is an obvious possibility. In any case, I think them "saying peace and security" and the "sudden destruction" tells us two things. The expectation must be pretty high that they can achieve peace, like for example, they are on the verge of a singing a "peace deal, or treaty", and then nuclear war erupts anyway! I have also wondered if that statement could be referring to a declaration of peace and security, after the rise of the 8th King and this statement is immediately before Armageddon, and they are making that statement because they have quelled all opposition to the 8th King, killed Christ brothers, and think their new "Kingdom" is secure. The only problem with that, is I just don't think those prophecies refer really to anything to do with Armageddon, but rather everything that leads up to that point. Kind of that Armageddon needs no prophecy, because once all those other prophecies come true, the faithful will already know what's coming at that point. But that latter thinking kind of relies on that interpretation that it is a "declaration" and I'm not sure the Bible makes that statement, or like was already mentioned, that's just WT spin. I'd have to do a little research first!

But that's really down the rabbit hole!

Russia's Lavrov was holding a press conference about Putin's invitation to be on Trump's Board of Peace, and he let the cat out of the bag and said the board was going to consider solutions to other conflicts in the world besides Gaza.
