Positive thought for the day.

That is excellent! That's what I used to love about our "old" Bible, the 1984 version, by using all the cross references as I studied it, it brought the meaning alive. I was shocked when they told us that we were to stop bringing out the cross references of the scriptures used in the Watchtower studies. Then I was even more shocked when soon after, they gave us a different Bible with most of the cross references gone!! For me personally, "the plot thickened" as the saying goes..

Not that it matters, but I still use the 1984 NWT. I have the 2013 NWT, but I stuck with what I started out with. I really like the notes in the back of it. John 1:1, torture stake, and so on.

"We don't use the 1984 NWT anymore." "Don't you have the silver sword?" "You can use your tablet, and pull it up on JW.org." "I would suggest you do that." 🧐
That's right, "if you use the 1984 version you'll soon learn that the leaders have gone apostate, stick with the 2013 version then we can accuse YOU of going apostate and everyone else will be none the wiser"

When worry gets loud, Scripture keeps whispering the same invitation: trust Me. Not everything needs to be solved today. Some things simply need to be surrendered. Peace isn’t found in figuring it all out... it’s found in placing it all in God’s hands.
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” - 1 Peter 5:7

This was forwarded to me by my (only) JW friend:

From a circuit overseer in Guatemala
Encouragement for today.

Jehovah God sees great things in us.

In life, there are those who walk and those who run.
But remember, God gave the tortoise and the horse the same number of days to reach Noah's ark.
So, in life, there will be challenges, there will be ups and downs, but rest assured, we can reach our destination.

Because you know:
Jacob saw Joseph as a good son.
The ten brothers saw Joseph as a useless son.
The traveling merchants saw Joseph as a slave.
And Potiphar saw Joseph as a good servant.
Potiphar's wife saw Joseph as a potential friend.
The jailer saw Joseph as a prisoner.
But you know what?

They were all wrong.
Because Jehovah saw Joseph as a potential prime minister.

So be encouraged by what Jehovah sees in you. It doesn't matter what people see in us. It's what God sees in us that matters.

Your age doesn't matter, that's why He chose Abraham.
Your experience doesn't matter, that's why He chose David.
Your past doesn't matter, that's why He called Paul.
Your gender doesn't matter, that's why He exalted Esther.
Your appearance doesn't matter, that's why He chose Zacchaeus, the youngest.
Your speaking ability doesn't matter, that's why He chose Moses.
Your profession doesn't matter, that's why He chose Mary Magdalene to remind us that God sees great things in those who serve Him.

And we should encourage everyone with that thought, while reminding ourselves that the best is yet to come...

Now it's your turn to encourage someone.
Love never fails! 1 Corinthians 13:8

The same can be found in creation - not to discount the Bible as primary - as an addition to the Bible. The wonders of creation are simply staggering in their microscopy and design. In balance, it has no equal - were one to move an element of creation a hair breath from its calculation, in some cases, nothing else could exist. If the binding of energy of atomic nuclei were altered but a fraction the following would be true. If it were 0.006, the universe would only contain hydrogen; if it were 0.008, no hydrogen would survive. In either case, chemistry (and thus life) would be impossible. Makes one think….

I absolutely love the microscopic world! Don't get me wrong, I very much enjoy laying out on the patio on our loungers and watching the stars appear ( when there's no chemical smog hiding them!!) but the microscopic world is a whole different "magic" 😍
