Cepher edition, God's name? Is this the book where God's name is Yawhosha (? Sp ?)
Overall Cepher is one of the best Masoretic based bibles I'm familiar with. It's worth owning the free version of the app that includes the whole late 19th century protestant canon.

The Cepher does feature there rendering of the divine name in all the OT places but Yahuah is almost as inferior a translation as Yahweh compared to Jehovah yahuah is 3 consonants not 4 and Yahweh is 2 syllables rather than 3 I use Yehovah because the letter J is relatively recent historically.

Translation of revelation from a Hebrew manuscript only read a little so far but interested in comparing especially since revelation was one of the five books that weren't included in the original version of the syriac peshitta

Can someone do me a favor. I'm trying to find and translate the Hebrew word in revelation 21:16 that was rendered Stadia in the Greek by consulting a Hebrew manuscript of revelation could anyone get the verse in it translated to English I've got a few words translated in the verse but i have to try to replicate the hebrew characters on a website one by one then Google translate the word sometimes the words Google produces seem random/out of place I wouldn't have to do this if this manuscript has translated it more clear but it went with the ambiguous "(spreads) of field"

I wouldn't concern myself with the literal measurements since the scripture is related to the spiritual temple. the wall of the city also had 12 foundation stones, and on them were the 12 names of the 12 apostles of the lamb verse 14. That did not have a place in it for Jehovah. verses 22 & 23 confirms that it is not a literal place on terafirma.

By way of a rough calc, 12000 stadia is 1300 miles. 1.6 mil sq miles is not a small place. Math is not my best subject.
come to think of it I had no best subject, which is probably why I dropped out of high school prehaps.

I don't care how literal or metaphoric it is I care about not damning myself doing a subpar job on my version given the warning at the end of revelation to anyone making copies of it.

Acknowledged. Curious; why would the possibility of coming up with a less than perfect version be damning. It is not a requirement for salvation, no?

Rev 22:18-19

New King James Version
For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book 19 ;and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Keep in mind that the new KJ version also the old KJ version and every other version in existence is a product of imperfect humans. And we have not done too badly I suspect. So while you're on this side of perfection your version will be imperfect too. Still your endeavor is to be commended. Bon voyage.

I'm still going to be more careful with it than anything else but i very much hope you are right

A bit disappointed with a hebrew manuscript of John's Gospel I've been looking into someone reading it would perceive it as more Trinitarian than the Greek not less 🙁 what was I to expect from the vatican library I guess
