That'd be good. Idk every time I suggested people fellowship on zoom or discord the response was crickets.
It's probably because after 2 years of Zoom BS they want no more. I know I never want to use Zoom again. I have to use it at work from time to time and it's a chore. There's nothing like person to person contact.

As Peter Gabriel said:

"Shake those hands, shake those hands"

Don’t be discouraged by the responses so far in this thread, Paz. Everyone here has their own reasons for feeling the way they do. Which is just fine. To them I say, “you do you”. If you don’t want to be part of a Zoom WT study, then don’t come. Pretty simple, really.
Hi BillyRay, thank you, P.

I would like an actual Bible study. Not what we used to do (studying WT publications) but the Bible itself. As a group everyone could do some research on their own and then share or compare.
A Watchtower study, why? What's in the Watchtower that we haven't heard a hundred times?

Dear Patricia, Of course we can study the Bible directly it a good idea as you say. I have noticed a lot of resentment toward the org & it’s understandable many have been expelled and experienced shunning and remain bitter, as was I but when I first heard the ‘truth’ I came into the most precious relationship of all with Jehovah and as even Robert has said without the society where is the truth in the world. So I have rejected the bitterness and appreciate that Jehovah’s org has as yet not been judged directly yet and thus it remains his slave, dispensing ‘food’ to the domestic s. So the wt study is the org main spiritual feeding platform. Some say I’ve heard that before that not really an excuse, my aunts heard it before in the 1920’s , Jesus repeated his message to his disciples 100’s times without them responding properly. Take care and Christian love P.

that really isn’t the question. the question is, why would anyone in their right mind want to be part of any WT study whether on Zoom or on the moon?

and why can’t you talk to me directly? are you shunning me? i’m just wondering.
Hi Asadour, I’m sorry to hear you use the word ‘shunning’ it’s an evil and cruel way to be treated by the brothers. I have much to say about this evil disfellowship process on my other posts here on this forum. I was disfellowshipped and shunned for over 10 yrs I was wrongfully disfellowshipped and could not display repentance on an prefabricated allegation by the 2 elders who also disfellowshipped me. I lost my small children, my family and all my friends and was cast into satans world. So I should be very bitter and was. But I moved back to my home congregation and the 3 elders really helped me return it took 3 yrs. I agree with roberts book and explanation of the judging of the org just ahead and those evil ones will be judged and hq in wallkill is likely to be destroyed as part of the disapline and quite rightly. But I would not know Jehovah if it was not for ‘a people for his name’. I have much to say in my website. Go to jw.Q section on http://christ2coming.org. Much Christian love, P

This is an interesting subject, because in the 80,s a group of Bethelites were asked to leave for forming groups and doing independent study of watchtower material. We have two in our congregation. The brothers were appointed as elders and sent out into differing congregations. I think ones are very wary of being seen as an independent group or sect attracting their own followers, particularly if they are conducting watchtower studies or indeed the memorial.

I understand both sides of this. I completely understand "without the WT none of us would know Jehovah", but is that really true? Jesus said if men did not speak about Jehovah the rocks would. The credit lies with Jehovah. However, it is true that Jehovah has used the WT, I'm just not sure if it's true anymore.

I believe what you mentioned about being wrongfully DF'd has happened often and I think one big reason is this attitude "elders are appointed by holy spirit." Which is a complete misapplication of the Bible. The appointment of Elders is done by the direction of the Bible, but the decision is made by imperfect men, as if that even mattered. The perfect angels and Satan still rebelled. My point is, it's not just "prophecy", much of the WT is used to bludgeon the sheep with the judgemental attitude of the WT. The Watchtower is more and more tainted with the WT attitude. I personally do not see how you can separate the two, the truth from the lie. And this has been going on for decades, it's just gotten worse IMO.

20 or so years ago an Elder when asked why they were going to "reprove someone" asked the person, "are you questioning spirit appointed brothers?" Meanwhile his young teenage son, and started a Gay relationship with someone from another state online and left soon after and moved in with him. (The earliest beginnings of the internet.) The hypocrisy is palpable indeed. I'm not saying this Elder knew about this, what I am talking about is this inexcusable arrogance, and complete lack of self awareness and empathy that has no place in the "House of Jehovah" and especially, I say again especially with the "shepherds." And those same "sheperds" are the ones writing the Watchtower!

But, your attitude is certainly admirable, and commendable and I would also say an example as well.

Hi Nomax and others you make a good point . I have been wading through Roberts book and just read chapter 18 & 19 very enlightening. So on reflection the idea well motivated is probably best shelved. My idea was that as a community we could engage in some United worship and fellowship with one another toward Jehovah. I’ve just read its not Babylon the great but the wt that is devastated but Jehovah does rescue his loyal ones and protect them but wt Society will be gone. I am open to ideas. Thank you once again all of you dear brothers, Paz.
