Rambling Again

Anyone notice how JW news has a section on Legal developments and human rights issues affecting JW's worldwide but no mention of CSA. Imagine that. But I betcha they would have big bold print if they win a case. Apostate driven lies. 🤯

Ya know politics and those heavy scriptural discussions I have to pass. I leave those to you heavies. I do, however, enjoy the exchanges, that is when my brain decides to kick into gear. Then WT will come out with some convoluted new 🚦 and confuse my deteriorating neurons and synapses' that are already every which way to begin with.

I remember studying the Daniel book in old book study groups and thinking what in the world are they teaching. The poor br conducting and pretending he knew what he was talking about. Then Sister elderette making hour Long comments making absolutely no sense. 97 year old sis Woodbine making those loud grunt noises when comments were out there. She was a hoot.

How about the 3,000 changes we had to make in our revelation book we studied I think 3 times. One elder I really was close to said if we had to study it one more time he was not conducting. 😂

Then we had sis df who would disrupt mtgs. Finally at one mtg br from platform said sis df you are no longer welcomed here and she, was escorted out.

Brother Apostate who was not yet df would show up every now and then and make bizarre comments. Br from platform would say take the mike from him!! 🤔

My real rant for the day was those little white pledge sheets asking how much you can give. I threw mine in the trash can. I never gave another cent unless I got a publication.

Anyhow I am at the stage of my life's journey where I say Jehovah I love you and your son. I hope I can witness the sanctification of your name and all promises you have made to mankind. I sure can use that new body and brain.

But please forgive me I can't always connect and I ask you why . I am not doubting you or losing faith I just don't get some things. But I am gonna hold on to you and your son with all the faith I have.

If I make it what a blessing if I don't I won't know I am not there ☺.

Brother apostate and sister disfellowshipped, even a sister woodbine! Sounds like we are in good company with your fellow ramblers. We had Brother Bigot, Brother Shady and Brother Joe King, (no relation to Robert) and Sister Boss-Elder (a relation of mine) - she was married to Brother Holierthanthou.

I can remember an old Bro. that had a very hard time getting words to come, maybe a small stroke, conducting our book study. Those Revelation books were so not understandable and then he could hardly read the question, took him about 5 minutes to get it out, by that time I didn't know what paragraph we were on. Sad to say I didn't learn much. Sister Eyes and Ears your experience at the book study is well understood.

We had a family who moved here from Guyana. The brother was the book study assistant. We had the book study at the elders house, but he was out of town this one week. The brother from Guyana would show up at the Kingdom hall wearing gloves when it was 55 degrees out. So it's the middle of summer, and we had the book study at this brothers house from Guyana. At 7:30 in the summer it's still 85 degrees out. I was asked to read, and they want you to wear a suit jacket. We show up and this brother is not running the AC. So I'm wearing a suit jacket and I don't own any short sleeve dress shirts, I think short sleeve dress shirts cancel out the "dress" part of the shirt. In any case once the study started that jacket came right off, and I told the elder later, "don't ever have the study at his house again, I won't be showing up." And this brother sat there with his suit on apparently not even breaking a sweat like and conducted the study. I couldn't leave fast enough.

BTD we had some issues with Br. Bigot in our kh in early 80's. It was so messed up Elders had to get help from higher ups. Next I knew Bethel brothers were visiting giving THOSE WHY CANT WE ALL JUST GET ALONG TALKS. We still have a sister boss elder. We all want to smack her silly.

I haven't told you guys the best part. (Worst part?)

We were doing return visits, and I had a friend that I had witnessed to a lot next to the house I used to live in. So i suggested we go by there. Me and Brother Guyana, stop at my friends house. Well apparently Brother Guyana, in the 20 minute drive to his house since it was outside our territory, didn't realize the emergency he was about to face. He was about to burst if he didn't find a rest room, but not until we knocked on my friends door. Then he asked to use his rest room, something in all my years until then, I'd never seen anyone do. The house holder told him his daughter was in the shower, but he could pee on the fence, "in front of his house in broad daylight", with my wife and his daughter in the car, facing us. Which he proceeded to do!

I called up our "book study conductor", and as I was telling him the story, before I even got to the deed, he says, "NO HE DIDN'T" And kept repeating it. "No he didn't, no he didn't" I said yes he did. Not long after that, he was removed as an MS. I have no idea if that was one of the reasons.

I had never told anyone this story, besides friends of mine who were not in my congregation, not even in the same state and which there was no way possible, it would get back to him, my congregation and what he did. Years later I decided to tell someone I had gotten very close to this story in that congregation. He started by telling me he'd heard the story. I told him, "there's no way I have never told anyone except Brother Elder in my book study", and my wife had never told anyone. He then starts telling me details, that were not the details that I witnesses. Then it dawned on me this wasn't the first time he'd done something like this!

Regardless, at least I wasn't my blabber mouth! Nobody, not one single person in my congregation ever heard from me or my wife, that he'd done this more than once or even once! Also, he was parked once on the side of a small country store type business, and still managed to run into the wall. I remember thinking, "do they not have roads and cars in Guyana?"


I have one more, maybe I'll make that in another post!

LOL, I was gonna do this later, but this is funny too. So this brother is like 5'9" and his wife is like 6". He has a daughter who takes after her mother. She was about 14 or 15 I guess. So we were working apartments in service. 3 stories with 4 doors on each platform. Each pare of doors were right next to the stares. We were on the second floor knocking on those doors. A couple from up stairs came down the stairs, and his daughter did not move an inch, and these people had to squeeze by her to go down the stairs. I am talking nose to nose, like "Naked Gun" Zucker brothers ridiculous comedy, except I was living it. Her father doesn't say a word. He acts like nothing happened. We get done with the building, and then he reprimands his daughter. I remember thinking, "too damn late there fellow." "Damage is done", why are you saying this now? Meanwhile his 14 year old daughter was towering over him! ROFLOL!

Now full disclosure, this is a really sweet, humble family, their just stupid! LOL. But I think humble is way more important than "smart." He and his family are the brothers and sisters who should be in God's new world! I dare say, "deserve" to be there if anyone could deserve it.

Nomex I guess the standards of PP etiquette are waaay different in Guyana. 😂 I ain't telling about the sis whose husband would not stop
car at a restroom on way to circuit assembly . He was a mean 74 year ole cuss. She was 54. Back in 90's.

Those tall folks sound like the ADDAMS FAMILY. That was a comedy weirdo show back in the 1960's I believe.

I do the same thing if I see folks being ignorant blocking the aisle. I know some are just waiting for a confrontation. I just turn my cart around.
